The new Fit for TV documentary on The Biggest Loser has us fired up. This reality show wasn't just “entertainment,” it reshaped diet culture, fitness, and the way we think about bodies in ways that were harmful, abusive, and dehumanizing. In this episode, we're breaking down why the show was so damaging and what it means for how we approach health today. This documentary was a stark reminder that your body isn't a spectacle, you don't owe anyone a before-and-after picture, and health should never come at the cost of your dignity. In this episode: How The Biggest Loser normalized extreme and unsafe weight loss practices. The ripple effects it created in gyms, workplaces, and wellness programs across the country. Why diet culture about profit, not health. Weighing benefits vs costs of weight loss programs. Red flags to look out for in trainers, programs, and “health” challenges. What compassionate, sustainable, and whole-person wellness actually looks like. This episode is brought to you by Jukestir. Learn more here: https://jukestir.com/ Connect with us! The wait is over—Sara J finally sits down with Craig Rogers: co-host of Discovering Downie & guitarist for Gift Shop (West Coast's ultimate tribute to The Tragically Hip)In typical DATC Pod fashion, this chat is so good it had to be split into two parts! In part one, Craig takes us through his musical journey (with his guitars as our guide)—from the influence of his father's own musical career, to grade six band and playing saxophone, to picking up a guitar and being sought out to play with his favourite band. He shares the perils of touring Canada, playing side stage at Lollapalooza '95, and his first G&L guitar. We also dive into the music that shaped him: the album that changed everything for him, why he thinks The War on Drugs is the best live band right now, and the time he had tickets to two shows at once. Plus, Craig recalls his first encounters with The Tragically Hip, gives us a peek into his fandom and explains how Gord Downie left him unsure what to think at first. And that's just part one. By 2016, the Star Wars galaxy was splintered. Disney had bought the keys to the kingdom, and The Force Awakens had opened the floodgates of nostalgia; fans were debating whether the magic still remained. Enter Rogue One, a gritty, grounded war film that not only connected the dots between trilogies but also reminded us what sacrifice actually looks like in a galaxy far, far away. Our Rogue One (2016) Review could be our boldest Star Wars exploration yet. Listen to find out.On this week's Born to Watch, the team rallies on Yavin 4 to break down the boldest entry in Disney's Star Wars canon. Whitey brings the heat with tales of midnight screenings and family rewatches, calling Rogue One the "Everest" of modern Star Wars. Damo, initially underwhelmed, admits it took a second viewing to appreciate the depth and daring of this standalone story. And Bones? Let's just say he came armed with more trivia than a Death Star databank, from K-2SO's comic origins to what Chirrut Îmwe's staff is really made of.The episode begins with the squad sharing their first impressions, ranging from faulty cinema projectors to kids ditching mid-movie, before diving into the film's iconic trailer. Vader's breath. The Rogue One theme. Mon Mothma's icy resolve. It still rocks. The boys dissect what made the trailer work and laugh at the glaringly absent "I rebel" line that somehow vanished between teaser and final cut.Naturally, the Born to Watch crew doesn't just scratch the surface. They dive deep into what makes Rogue One so special: a fresh cast of characters who aren't chosen ones or lightsaber prodigies, but ordinary rebels making impossible choices. Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) gets major love for her no-frills attitude, while Diego Luna's Cassian Andor earns newfound respect thanks to the phenomenal Andor series, which Whitey all but begs Damo to finally watch. And then there's K-2SO, the sardonic droid voiced by Alan Tudyk (aka "Two Dicks”, don't ask, just listen). Easily one of the funniest characters in the franchise, K-2 delivers punchlines and gut-punches with equal finesse. The same goes for Donnie Yen's Chirrut and Wen Jiang's Baze, a dynamic duo who bring martial arts, mysticism, and machine guns to the battlefield.Ben Mendelsohn's Director Krennic gets the Aussie shoutout treatment, with the team praising his imperial smugness and exquisite cape work. Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera? A source of debate, gasps, and conspiracy theories, is he a Vader prototype? A puffed-up Darth Hipster? Either way, "Bo Gullet" lives rent-free in everyone's head, even if no one quite understands what he's doing there. And then comes the scene. You know the one. The Vader hallway massacre. It's cinematic perfection, a horror movie, action flick, and fan fantasy rolled into one red lightsaber ignition. The team agrees: it might be the greatest single moment in Star Wars history. Period. From there, it's time for Good, Bad, and Ugly, where the sets, the new worlds (Scarif, Jedha), and the grounded stakes all get high praise. The team relishes how Rogue One finally explains the Death Star's ridiculous design flaw, praises its minimal use of nostalgia, and wonders how Jyn Erso climbs that 500-metre tower without even puffing.Legacy-wise, Rogue One is a billion-dollar box office hit that somehow still feels underrated. No Skywalkers. No prophecy. Just a desperate, beautiful mission and a finale that dares to kill every single lead. The episode wraps with laughs, trivia, a tease of a Star Wars Trivial Pursuit rematch, and a reminder that Rogue One is the rare Disney-era film that actually elevates what came before.JOIN THE CONVERSATIONIs Rogue One the best Star Wars movie since the original trilogy?Would you rather pilot an X-Wing or be one with the Force like Chirrut? Ep 224 | This week on Discover Ag, Natalie and Tara dig into the latest food tech controversies, celebrity collabs, and policy changes shaping agriculture — with their usual dose of skepticism and ranch wisdom. First up: Bill Gates-backed lab-grown butter made from carbon hits the headlines. The hosts tear apart the sustainability claims, question who's actually asking for this tech, and explain why consumers aren't buying what Silicon Valley is selling. Spoiler alert: it's giving major Beyond Meat bankruptcy vibes. Then, Molly Yeh teams up with Tractor Supply for a clothing line that actually makes sense. Unlike the butter debacle, this collaboration taps into real market demand for functional women's workwear that doesn't look like hand-me-downs from your husband's closet. Plus, Keith Urban's new reality show "The Road" promises to shake up the singing competition format with real concerts and audience voting. The hosts break down why this tour-meets-TV concept could be the next big hit. BUT WAIT — there's more! The FDA is finally fixing a 1963 regulation that's been blocking Florida oranges from juice production. With citrus greening threatening the industry and two-thirds of orange juice coming from imports, this bricks content change could be a game-changer for domestic production. This leads into a debate about other TV shows with perfect episode runs, including 'Game of Thrones' and 'Breaking Bad'. We then shift the conversation then shifts to high-profile TV deals and why many fail, comparing it to overpaid athletes past their prime. Lastly, we explore the impact of laugh tracks on modern comedy, and reasons why certain TV tropes and actors turn off viewers. THEN: BRITISH CORNER Rhea reviews the British Comedy drama 'Dead Boy Detectives' on Netflix. She also updates us on her thoughts on 'Irish Blood'. We end the show with Angelo recommending the Netflix docuseries 'Fit for TV', while Jay Black seeks to connect with a young fan from Australia's Little League World Series. Everyone's chasing AI—but what if the real magic in B2B is a rap video, a meme, and two actors with a camera? While most brands stick to safe, polished playbooks, Chris Cunningham is building ClickUp's marketing like it's a full-blown media company—and it's working. In this episode, he takes us behind the scenes of how their small but mighty team racked up 200 million+ impressions by leaning into creativity, comedy, and community.Chris, one of ClickUp's original team members and now Head of Brand, shares the real (and often hilarious) story of how they went from startup scrappiness to building an in-house content engine that moves the needle. From hiring actors full-time, to turning their content meetings into writers' rooms, to making rap albums that actually convert. We talk about:The content framework that helps their team test and scale what really worksWhy they bet on humor at the top of the funnel—and what makes it landHow they avoid burnout while making videos every weekThe limits of AI content (and why originality still matters most)What most B2B teams get wrong when they try to “act like media companies”
