WrestleMania tickets go on sale to the general public today starting at 10AM Eastern. WWE posted the health and safety protocols for the event on its website Thursday. Everyone with a ticket must complete a waiver & release..and a COVID-19 health questionnaire ahead of the show. On the day of the event, all fans 5 years or older MUST wear a mask over their mouth and nose. Everyone will get a mask when they enter the stadium...and security checkpoints will include a temperature check. There will be social distancing guidance throughout the stadium. Seating will be arranged in pods of 1 to 6 people. There are more details listed on WWE's website. A couple big matches on tonight's SmackDown. Edge will wrestle his first match on SmackDown in more than a decade. He'll take on Jey Uso. The winner will be the special enforcer for the Universal Title Match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at Fastlane. Also tonight. Sasha Banks defends her women's championship against Nia Jax. Tonight's Smackdown is the last stop before Sunday's Fastlane pay per view - the first on Peacock after the new WWE Network launched on that platform in the U.S. on Thursday. Another event added to WrestleMania week. NXT UK will hold a special event called “Prelude” on Thursday, April 8th. The main event will be WALTER defending his UK Championship against Rampage Brown, who's undefeated in NXT UK. Also announced for Prelude: Tyler Bate vs. Noam Dar in a Heritage Cup Rules Match. The winner will challenge A-Kid for his Heritage Cup. Jordan Devlin successfully defended his Cruiserweight Championship on Thursday's NXT UK - beating Trent Seven in the main event. Eric Bischoff is the latest inductee announced for the 2021 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame. Andrade went on Twitter Thursday to say “The rumors are true and I don't know what the future holds but I want to make my dreams come true.” This comes after recent reports that Andrade asked for his release from WWE. (STINGER: Impact) Impact Wrestling announced Thursday that AEW Champion Kenny Omega will appear on this Tuesday's episode. (STINGER: ROH) A big 8-man showdown on Ring Of Honor's weekend TV. On one side, The Foundation's Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus vs. La Faccion Ingobernable - Rush, Dragon Lee, Kenny King and Bestia del Ring. ROH has added Mark Briscoe vs. Flip Gordon to its 19th Anniversary pay per view. Another title match announced for the NWA's Back For The Attack pay per view on Sunday - Trevor Murdoch defending the National Heavyweight Title against Chris Adonis. MLW announced a couple more matches for its Never Say Never show coming up on March 31st - Myron Reed vs. Daivari...and Jordan Oliver vs. Simon Gotch. The teams of Reed & Oliver and Daivari & Gotch were involved in a 3-way No Disqualification main event on Wednesday's Fusion...where Los Parks successfully defended their MLW Tag Titles. (STINGER: New Japan) The “final four” in the New Japan Cup is now set. The tournament saw its biggest upset on Thursday, when David Finley pinned Jay White. Later, Will Ospreay beat SANADA. The semifinal matches are Ospreay vs. Finlay...and Shingo Takagi vs. EVIL. Those are happening on Saturday. Tonight's New Japan Strong has two more qualifying matches for the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup - Brody King vs. Bateman...and Ren Narita vs. Misterioso. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, March 18, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on TheWrestlingRevolution.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. (STINGER: WWE) WWE has set a new date for the sale of tickets for WrestleMania. They'll go on sale to the general public...Friday morning at 10AM Eastern. There will also be an exclusive presale for fans who register online. That starts THIS MORNING at 10AM. The Tampa Bay Times reports capacity is set at 25,000 for each of the two nights - about the same as last month's Super Bowl...and health and safety protocols will be similar to those at the Super Bowl. It's day one of the “Peacock Era”. WWE Network goes live today on Peacock - its new exclusive home in the United States. The “original” Network will still be up until April 4th. So, Sunday's Fastlane pay per view will air on both Peacock and the “original” network. Your current WWE Network account will NOT automatically be transferred over to Peacock. WWE is telling network subscribers to “be on the lookout for an email with more specific directions.” Bottom line, if you want to watch WWE Network after April 4th, you will need to sign up for Peacock. WWE has updated the FAQ on its website with info on remaining balances, gift cards, canceled accounts, automatic billing and more. Finn Balor will defend the NXT Championship against Karrion Kross at the two-night Takeover: Stand & Deliver event during WrestleMania week. But WWE did NOT specify whether that match will happen on Night 1 on the USA Network...or the Night 2 show on Peacock. Balor and Kross teamed up in the main event of last night's NXT - challenging Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for their tag titles. The match ground to a halt after Burch appeared to suffer an injury. He never returned to the match, so Lorcan had to go it alone. Balor accidentally knocked down Scarlett. That was enough for Kross. He turned on Balor..and Lorcan pinned Balor to retain the tag titles. Kross continued to beat up on Balor after the match. NXT UK Champion WALTER made a surprise appearance on last night's NXT...and laid out Tommaso Ciampa. WWE's two Cruiserweight Champions came face-to-face. Jordan Devlin confronted Santos Escobar...and they agreed to decide the one, true cruiserweight champ at TakeOver. We should mention quickly - Devlin is set to defend his Cruiserweight Championship on today's NXT UK...against Trent Seven. Today's episode has a special start time - of 4PM Eastern. Getting back to last night's NXT… Kyle O'Reilly was barred from Capital Wrestling Center last night - but sent in a video to vow revenge against Adam Cole. Later, cameras spotted police outside the CAC, with both Cole and O'Reilly in handcuffs. Dexter Lumis beat Austin Theory. NXT Women's Champ Io Shirai delivered a contract for a title match to Raquel Gonzalez. I assume she'll sign it. (STINGER: AEW) A brutal, bloody and historic main event on last night's Dynamite. Dr. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa brought out tables, ladders and even thumbtacks during their Unsanctioned Lights Out - Anything Goes - Match. Dr. Baker was powerbombed onto the tacks...and later, Thunder Rosa drove her through a table at ringside...and got the pin. Penta El Zero Miedo kicked out of the Crossroads and even got in his signature arm breaker on Cody Rhodes, but moments later Rhodes caught Penta with a rollup to steal the pin. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston beat the Good Brothers. After the match, Kenny Omega joined the Good Brothers for a post-match attack. They Pillmanized Kingston's leg. Then, they set up for another with a steel chair wrapped around Moxley's HEAD. The Young Bucks ran out to stop them...and even refused a Too Sweet from Omega. MJF's new faction has a name. The crew that includes Wardlow, FTR, Tully Blanchard and Shawn Spears will be known as...The Pinnacle. Brian Cage broke ranks from Team Taz...to tell Sting he respects him. (STINGER: New Japan) The other half of the New Japan Cup's “final four” is being decided this morning. It's Will Ospreay vs. SANADA...and Jay White vs. David Finlay. The semifinal matches are happening Saturday. Warrior Wrestling announced late Wednesday that Kylie Rae will defend that promotion's women's title at their show in Chicago on June 5th. It would be Kylie Rae's first match since she stepped away from pro wrestling last November. David Marquez says he will not be part of the revival of NWA Powerrr starting next Tuesday. He said in a statement Wednesday he “wasn't invited back”. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, March 18. Hey everybody, I'm Brian Clapp, VP of Content and Engaged Learning for WorkInSports.com and this is the Work in Sports podcast… Buenos Aires, the Paris of the South, known for its architecture, cuisine, shopping, history, entertainment, beaches -- one of the top travel destinations in the world. But in the 1970's Buenos Aires was in the midst of the Dirty War, a period when Argentina's military dictatorship turned against its own people. Quick trip down history lane -- it was 1976 when the Argentine military overthrew the government of Isabel Peron, the widow of populist president Juan Peron. It was a political coup called Operation Condor and it was sponsored and supported by the United States. The military took power by force, and turned against Argentina's citizens, taking away political dissidents and people it suspected of being aligned with leftist, socialist or social justice causes and incarcerating, torturing, and “disappearing” an estimated 30,000 people. Still to this day, every Thursday, the mothers and grandmothers of the 30,000 unaccounted for victims of the Dirty War, gather in one of Argentina's most famous public squares, the Plaza De Mayo, wearing white scarves and holding signs covered with names. Why am I bringing all fo this up? Why the trip down Argentinian history? Today's guest is one of the most famous sports broadcasters in the world, Andres Cantor, known around the globe for his legendary play by play call when a goal is scored in soccer. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL! I can't do it, nor will I try. But to really understand a person, you have to know where they came from. When I was given the opportunity to interview Andres, a man I have long admired for his artful, entertaining work in soccer, the Olympics, and as a leader in the Spanish-speaking community - I wanted to understand the man behind the call, not just the call itself. Andres grew up in Argentina, in Buenos Aires, during the Dirty War, when the military took to the streets and people he knew disappeared. His family fled the country, and came to America, where he had to completely restart his life. I strongly believe we are formed by our early years, they become our foundation for what we believe is true, valued and important - our early experiences shape the way we see the world. Not put yourself in Andres shoes. War-torn country, on his doorstep, in his vision every single day. Fleeing the country, starting over, new people, a new language, new culture, new everything. He had ever reason to make excuses, to blame the world for its injustices, to crumble in the face of the challenges ahead of him. But he didn't. He became a legend. This year Andres celebrated his 20th year at Telemundo, and I had the honor of interviewing him on his illustrious career. One note before we get started -- 5 minutes before we started our interview, Andres' phone started blowing up because Lionel Messi announced he wanted to leave Barcelona. He has sincere retracted, but in that moment,

Go to SiriusXM dot com slash MLB Fan Call for a full set of contest rules, prizing details and more. Hey everybody, I'm Brian Clapp, VP of Content and Engaged Learning for WorkInSports.com and this is the Work In Sports podcast. I have an ongoing internal dialogue - no I'm not talking to myself, I'm not that old or senile yet - no, I'm constantly asking myself “what else?” This has become a little bit of a joke between my wife and I, she was on a job interview once years ago, and the interviewer started with a broad question about the role, and then for the next 30 minutes just kept repeating “what else?” every time my wife paused. While I think this is a terrible interview technique -- it is a pretty good question to ask yourself about yourself. I do this often and in many ways. With my kids, I wonder - again in my head -- what else can I be doing to help them become good people? What else can I teach them that school may not? Maybe it's life skills, maybe it's about the history of racial oppression, maybe it's about climate change and sustainability? I wonder “what else?” can I do to be a better husband, mentor, friend, volunteer, member of society -- the list goes on. What else? I have an industry friend who always talks about the extra 1% you can do -- similar concept - he's always telling people it doesn't have to be huge, it just needs to be 1% better than everyone else...and this is just another way to get into a positive mindframe of doing a little more. I'm not perfect at it, sometimes I ask myself “what else” - come up with a good idea for something more I can do, and then cease to actually do it. Turns out, you make less of an impact when you don't actually do the stuff you think about doing. Who knew? Anyway, the reason I bring this up is not out of self-importance or even a desire to be transparent… it's because my mind has been raging lately about the podcast, this here show. What else? I feel like I should be doing more, that the traditional industry expert interview style is good and I enjoy it thoroughly, but maybe we need to break through and push a little more. I don't know, I don't have it all figured out yet, but I feel there are some more creative approaches I am yet to unlock but will continue to work on. With that in mind, I am taking a bit of a different approach to today's show… a little shift that i think is pretty cool. Today's guest is Andrew Diamond, Manager of Sports Sponsorships and Marketing for SiriusXM - cool job right? Andrew has also worked for Octagon, FanDuel, Topps and more - he's a pretty interesting dude. If you were listening at the top of the show, SiriusXM is running a really cool contest called “Fan Call of the Month” with a chance to win a trip for 2 to the MLB all-star game and a chance to do play-by-play for a half inning of the sirius xm broadcast of the All-Star futures game! Pretty cool contest right? So what we are going to do today is tell the story of Andrew's job, through the lens of this particular project -- how the Fan Call of the Month, went from idea, to activated project rolled out narttionwide.
