TNA Slammiversary V wasn't a show that exactly set the woods on fire, but overall, it was a pretty decent show. It was a time capsule of where TNA (now Impact Wrestling) was at the time. Can you believe they started in 2002 and are still around!? The main event is TNA's signature King of the Mountain match between Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, and Chris Harris (replacing Jeff Jarrett). Jeff Jarrett couldn't attend the show after the passing of his wife, Jill. Rick Steiner also had to find a replacement partner as he took on Team 3D when Scott nearly died from a throat injury suffered in Puerto Rico. All of that is combined with Abyss and Tomko having a ridiculous No Disqualification match that you have to see to believe. In the news, we cover that along with WWE legends going into real estate (you'll never guess who), a WWE and WCW legend wanting back in the big leagues after a disgusting injury just 6 years prior, Jackass joining forces with WWE, and much more!ALL PODCAST, SOCIAL MEDIA, & MERCHANDISE LINKS: linktr.ee/MainEventMarksCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.com & bonfire.com/store/maineventmarksGET FUELED WITH SHOCKED ENERGY: https://shockedenergy.com/collections/all?sca_ref=1814354.mOXH7RrwKh&sca_source=MainEventMarks (promo code: MainEvent for 10% off)GET AWESOME SPORTS T-SHIRTS: intheclutch.com/MAINEVENT (use code "MAINEVENT" for 10% off)ORDER FROM SWIFT LIFESTYLES: SwiftLifestyles.com, use PROMO CODE: MainEventMarks at checkout for 15% offLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 9PM EST: tikilive.com/channel/BURNS

Do you remember the Rumble? This was the final year before the women of WWE got their very own Royal Rumble match. This one was pumped up as "the biggest Rumble in WWE history" (which had been used multiple times in the past) because the Undertaker, Goldberg, and Brock Lesnar were all entries in the 30-man match. Also on this card, Charlotte Flair defended her WWE Raw Women's Title against Bayley, Kevin Owens defended the WWE Universal Title against Roman Reigns in a No Disqualification match with Chris Jericho hanging above the ring in a shark cage, and AJ Styles puts on an absolute classic with John Cena for the WWE Title in one of the best wrestling matches of the year 2017! Bobbie showed real interest in the promo of Stone Cold Steve Austin spraying The Rock with beer last week. So it's time to show them facing off at Wrestlemania XV in a No Disqualification match. Iain reveals his technique for ordering beer in Spain and tells us how to drive around a cliff edge dirt track in a rental car. Bobbie debuts the I Made My Girlfriend Watch Wrestling merchandise she’s had made and tells the story of the pop star who asked her out.
On this week's podcast, Macdara Ferris declares Shamrock Rovers, now 8 points clear, “officially in the title race”… (2.11). We preview this week's Oireachtas TV blockbuster, and ask will John Delaney be part of the cast? (9.53). There's also the sad scenes at Ballybofey (31.57), the EA Sports Cup draw (34.19) and a fairly negative reaction in Irish media to the success of (Limerick born) WWE star Becky Lynch (36.16). And another Limerick star Shane Tracy dials in (15.33) to talk Limerick's great start coinciding with part-time football and his different role over 12 seasons at the club.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/extratimecom)
My reaction to Smackdown! Live from August 21st: Just 2 days after Summerslam, The Miz looks to move on from his rivalry with Daniel Bryan; Becky Lynch explains why she attacked Charlotte Flair, Samoa Joe continues to make things personal with AJ Styles and The New Days get a rematch for the Smackdown Tag Titles in a No Disqualification match against The Bludgeon Brothers.
O Canada! The Daddies are finally back home… but no rest for the wicked. Ace Lawyer Craig Mazerolle and his friend Can Con have threatened to pull all of Wrestle Daddies sweet sweet grant funding unless they can make the show more Canadian. So strap on your hockey bag and douse your chest hair with sweet, sticky maple syrup as we embrace our Roots (TM) and get all Canuck on y’all. Also a special pitch for Station Zed’s new podcast ‘Springfield: The Later Years’, a podcast where Craig and Pat (of The Dust Off) are two diehard Simpsons fans forced (by themselves) to dive into the controversial later seasons of the show they hold so dear. They already have a slew of episodes waiting just for you right here. — Hosted and Cut by Brett Loughery and Jake Martin Guest Host – Craig Mazerolle Special Cameo – Pat Brennan Logo by Scott Latimer Theme – ‘The Invincible Eagle’ by John Philip Sousa as performed by the United States Marine Band
This week, your boys head across the pond to the Electric Ballroom in Camden and watch a No Disqualification match for the PROGRESS Championship as the extraordinary Will Ospreay challenges the maniacal Jimmy Havoc. Joaquin, Frank and Chuck ask the big questions for the final match of the season. Questions like: Why is a British guy willingly drinking a Budweiser? How many AFI songs is enough AFI songs? And does using an axe raise or lower the technicality of a match? Crashing the party this week to help your boys make sense of the insanity is TV's Jason Gibbs! [Will Ospreay vs Jimmy Havoc, July 26 2015, PROGRESS Ch. 20, PROGRESS Wrestling]
Coming off a loaded week in the world of WWE from the fallout of the Royal Rumble match to Samoa Joe's shocking arrival on Raw, Graham "GSM" Matthews and Tommy Sharp analyze it all on WrestleRant Radio. Plus, predictions for Sunday's WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view!
