Welcome to the Live for More Podcast, a new podcast from River Oak Church. In this episode, Pastors Zach and Caleb explain the heart behind the new name and dive deep into Mark 14, where Jesus is betrayed, arrested, and abandoned by those closest to Him.This conversation explores a question every human wrestles with:Is there more to life than living for myself?Through the lens of Scripture, we look at three common responses when faith is tested:- Fighting with the world's weapons- Fleeing in fear and self-preservation- Trusting Christ and standing on God's WordYou'll hear practical insight on:- Why “live for you” is a spiritual dead end- What Judas, Peter, and the fleeing disciple reveal about the human heart- How fear often outweighs faith — and how that can change- Responding to betrayal with mercy instead of bitterness- Why Jesus doesn't need us to defend Him — but He does call us to be faithful- How hiding God's Word in your heart prepares you for spiritual battle- A simple GPS method for reading Scripture (God, People, Self)- What it means to live boldly for Christ in uncertain times
Ali had been a practicing Muslim in Iran for his entire life. But after the Iranian government violently cracked down on Ali and his friends, he became disillusioned with Islam and moved to America. Ali was exposed to the God of the Bible who appeared to be radically different than any other god Ali had heard of before. What if there was one place left in the United States where Wi-Fi, cell towers, and constant wireless exposure simply did not exist? In this episode of the Healthier Tech Podcast, I sit down with Andrew McAfee, licensed electrician, EMF expert, and inventor of the Nuisance Current Blocker, to explore one of the most important and little-known places in America: the National Radio Quiet Zone in Green Bank, West Virginia. Originally protected by state law to shield one of the world's most sensitive radio telescopes, this region has quietly become a refuge for people who are electrically sensitive and overwhelmed by modern wireless exposure. Today, that refuge is under threat. Andrew explains what the Radio Quiet Zone is, why it matters for both science and human health, and how recent decisions to allow Wi-Fi inside the zone could permanently change it. We also discuss the legal effort now underway to update West Virginia law so it protects people, not just telescopes. This conversation goes far beyond EMFs. It touches on public health, autonomy, surveillance, and why preserving even one truly low-EMF environment may matter more than ever. In this episode, we cover: What the National Radio Quiet Zone is and why it was created Why electrically sensitive people are moving to Green Bank How wireless exposure affects the nervous system and immune health The difference between ambient wireless radiation and satellite communication Why allowing Wi-Fi inside the Quiet Zone could open the floodgates The legal fight to protect the Quiet Zone for future generations Why this area may be the last true low-EMF refuge in the U.S. Resources mentioned: Green Bank Safe Haven https://greenbanksafehaven.net Protect the National Radio Quiet Zone https://protectnationalquietzone.org Donate to Protect the National Radio Quiet Zone https://protectnationalquietzone.org/donate Children's Health Defense https://childrenshealthdefense.org If you care about the future of technology, health, and human resilience, this is a conversation you do not want to miss. Try before you buy? No. An important part of becoming one in marriage is the process of learning one another with each other. Relationships (and sex) take curiosity and communication, and the Perrys talk about how there's joy in figuring things out together. Our bodies matter to God. There's protection in His design for sex to be experienced within the covenant of marriage, and God is grieved any time we give our bodies away. A conversation like this can feel condemning, but God is merciful to restore our purity, remove memories of past intimacy, and help us point others to the hope of the Gospel too. Investors have exited the market, calling real estate "dead money" compared to equities, and Kavcic predicts prices will continue to decline, especially in the condo and rental segments. After years in limbo, TikTok is now officially operating under American ownership for users in the United States, purchased by a group of investors backed by the Trump administration. And that shift is happening at a moment when a lot of people are already feeling scared, angry, and on edge — including in the wake of yet another killing involving ICE in Minnesota. There’s been no shortage of warnings, rumors, and worst-case scenarios about what this new era of TikTok might look like for democracy, privacy, and organizing in marginalized communities. What does justice mean when it's stripped of context—and what happens when societies forget the cost of freedom? In this powerful episode of Restitch America, host Alma Ohene-Opare sits down with Dr. Sheila Nazarian, an Iranian-American physician, entrepreneur, and outspoken advocate for truth, to discuss her extraordinary journey fleeing Iran after the 1979 Islamic Revolution and building a life in the United States.Grounded in the article “Justice Needs Context,” this conversation explores why justice cannot exist in abstraction—only within history, culture, and lived experience. Dr. Nazarian shares firsthand insight into life under an authoritarian regime, the dangers of ideological amnesia, and why Americans must understand freedom before redefining justice.Together, Alma and Dr. Nazarian examine how narratives around oppression, privilege, and power shift when viewed through the lens of immigrants who escaped tyranny—and why gratitude, perspective, and courage are essential to preserving a free society.About the Guest:Dr. Sheila Nazarian is a board-certified plastic surgeon, successful entrepreneur, television personality, and outspoken activist. After establishing a leading private medical practice, she founded multiple ventures including NazarianSkin, The Skin Spot, Spa26, and Physique26. She rose to national prominence through appearances on major media outlets and her starring role in Netflix's Emmy-nominated series Skin Decision: Before and After.Beyond medicine and business, Dr. Nazarian is known for her fearless advocacy, using her platform to speak out on freedom, justice, and cultural truth. As an Iranian immigrant who fled religious extremism, she brings rare moral clarity to conversations about liberty, responsibility, and the cost of silence. In This Episode, You'll Hear:- Dr. Nazarian's story of escaping Iran after the fall of the Shah- Why justice without historical and moral context becomes dangerous- How lived experience reshapes conversations about oppression and freedom- The responsibility of free societies to protect truth, courage, and gratitude- Why immigrants who fled tyranny see America differently—and why that mattersThis episode is a must-listen for anyone wrestling with questions of justice, freedom, immigration, and cultural memory in America today.

Don't forget to grab your free scripture journal at PrayingChristianWomen.com/journal today! When spiritual authority crosses into control, how do you recognize it—and why is it so hard to name while you're inside it? In this special edition of the Praying Christian Women podcast, Jaime and Alana take a break from the usual Prayer Through the Psalms series to share a deeply personal interview from their true crime podcast series, Christian True-Crime Junkies. Coinciding with Spiritual Abuse Awareness Month, this is Part 1 of a 3-part conversation exploring Alana's harrowing experience in a Christian cult during her college years—a story she is sharing in depth for the first time. What began as a faith community rooted in belonging and purpose slowly revealed patterns of manipulation, control, and spiritual abuse. Through Alana's firsthand account, we unpack how high-control religious environments form, why intelligent and faith-seeking young adults are especially vulnerable, and how Scripture, obedience, and "submission" can be weaponized to silence questions and override personal discernment. Whether you have experienced spiritual abuse yourself or simply want to protect your loved ones, we hope you'll join us as we learn to distinguish between a healthy church and a high-control group, ultimately pointing us back to the safety and freedom found in a genuine relationship with Jesus. Fr. Matthias Shehad explores the meaning behind the Holy Family's flight to Egypt, connecting it with the call for Christians to flee the spirit of failure. He examines how failure can manifest not only through obvious temptation but also as a lifelong pattern of negative thoughts and behaviors that hinder spiritual growth and personal success. Fr. Matthias identifies six causes of the spirit of failure, including isolation after setbacks, negativity, wrong self-evaluation standards, pathological guilt, low self-esteem, and focusing solely on opposition. Through biblical examples such as Adam and Eve, Cain, Peter, and David, he shows how openness to God and perseverance are essential to overcoming failure. He encourages viewers to reject isolation and negativity, embrace God's standards, and recognize God's presence even amid challenges, enabling growth through failure rather than despair. Deadbeat Newsom defaults on $20 billion—and guess who's paying? While every other state in America used federal funds to responsibly pay off their COVID unemployment loans, California chose a different path: stimulus checks for voters and zero dollars toward the debt. Now businesses are stuck with automatic payroll tax hikes that escalate $21 annually, with surcharges projected to exceed $400 per worker. Meanwhile, Newsom had a $100 billion budget surplus in 2022 but didn't use a dime to help employers. Texas paid off their debt. Florida paid off their debt. Even Washington paid theirs. But California? They're too busy funding illegal immigrant healthcare and virtue signaling to care about the businesses fleeing the state in droves. Budweiser just closed their last Bay Area brewery—think that's just about beer sales? How long can businesses survive when California keeps piling on "the greatest hidden tax" while maintaining the nation's highest unemployment rate? Is anyone surprised Newsom wants to run this playbook nationally in 2028? Drop your thoughts below, and if you're tired of watching taxpayers get fleeced, subscribe and share this with every business owner you know.

In this episode, Aaron welcomes real estate developer Bobby Fijan to discuss one of the most overlooked crises in American urban life: the dramatic decline of children in major cities. Once filled with kids playing in the streets, neighborhoods in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and beyond are now increasingly childless. Bobby and Aaron explore the causes—from Richard Florida's influential “creative class” vision that reshaped city priorities, to financial incentives driving developers to build studios and one-bedrooms instead of family-sized apartments, to skyrocketing private-school costs and the loss of family-friendly infrastructure. They also examine why this matters: cities are engines of opportunity and culture, but forcing ambitious young people to choose between career growth and starting a family is a societal failure. Bobby shares his vision for “baby maybe” housing, practical ways to make cities welcoming for young families again, and why a biblical image of elderly people watching children play in the streets should inspire modern urban planning. The conversation ends with a provocative look at how cities have become extraordinarily dog-friendly—at the expense of being kid-friendly.If you care about the future of America's greatest cities, this is a must-listen.CHAPTERS(00:00 - Intro & Welcome Bobby Fijan)(00:55 - The Collapse of Children in Big Cities)(03:17 - Why Kids Disappear After Age 5 (And Now Even Younger))(04:31 - Richard Florida and the Rise of the Creative Class)(07:13 - How Cities Catered to Young Singles—and Forgot Families)(10:55 - The Insane Cost of Private Schools in Cities)(12:47 - Decline of Catholic/Parochial Schools)(14:22 - Why Childless Cities Matter)(17:48 - Economic & Cultural Hubs Need Families Too)(19:45 - Texas Cities vs. Legacy East Coast Cities)(23:35 - Why We Keep Building Studios & One-Bedrooms)(26:23 - Financialization of Housing & Developer Incentives)(28:28 - Introducing “Baby Maybe” Housing)(31:29 - How to Fix the System (Fair Housing, Subsidies, Vision))(36:36 - Dogs, Kids, and the Future of Urban Life)(46:47 - Closing Thoughts)BOBBY FIJAN LINKS:

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! For Stephanie Smith, childhood wasn't defined by toys or bedtime stories—it was defined by shadows. The house her family called home was alive with something unseen, something that moved through rooms, whispered her name, and filled every night with dread. But when she tried to talk about it, her parents brushed it off, desperate to protect her from the truth: their home was haunted. Years later, Stephanie would learn just how real those fears were. One terrifying night, the haunting escalated beyond denial—forcing her and her mother to flee the house in pure fear. Whatever was inside had made its message clear: get out. That experience would change Stephanie's life forever. Instead of running from the paranormal, she chose to confront it. As an adult, she became a paranormal investigator, determined to uncover the truths that once terrified her—and to help others understand the forces she grew up with. Today on The Grave Talks, Stephanie Smith shares her story of fear, awakening, and empowerment. It's proof that the things that haunt us as children can shape the paths we take as adults—and that sometimes, facing the darkness is the only way to take back control. #TheGraveTalks #RealGhostStories #TrueGhostStory #HauntedChildhood #ParanormalInvestigator #StephanieSmith #HauntedHouse #ParanormalEncounters #GhostStories #SupernaturalPodcast Love real ghost stories? In 1988, the Knowles family's journey across Australia's remote Nullarbor Plain turned into a nightmare, when in the pre-dawn hours of January 20th, they encountered a glowing, egg-shaped object that chased their car along the Eyre Highway. They claimed the light emitted a high-pitched hum, filled the car with a gray mist, and lifted the vehicle off the road before dropping it, blowing out a tire. Fleeing in terror, they found the car dented and covered in black dust. A police officer confirmed their distress, and a truck driver reported seeing strange lights in the same area. What attacked the Knowles family that night? This week, we take a look. Visit our website for a lot more information on this episode.
