The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe the allegedly truthful space battle in the skies above Nuremberg, Germany in 1561. But before that, we learn the REAL words to Prince's classic, Purple Rain, along with the dangerous and horrid Purple Rain drinking game. Don't do it, folks. Anyway… We begin the actual case today with a bang. Well, more of a pop (and we're not talking about Moonwalkers balls). Because we have some visual evidence. Evidence of a possible war above Earth which definitely couldn't have been between Earthlings. So was this an alien battle? Or was it actually a warning from God? A demonstration of God's wrath should their people not be honourable and trustworthy. Or were more natural forces at play? Meanwhile, tune in and you can learn all about the allegedly truthful 1500's German farm, Farm Farm. Finally, a question… Are Greybeard and Moonwalker honourable and trustworthy enough to wield Excalibur or the Master Sword? All that and more on this week's file. Of course, when mentioning Lon Lon Ranch we had to sneak in the Lon Lon Ranch theme from from 1998's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, composed by Kōji Kondō. Later on, we also attached some Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past music also by Kōji Kondō - the Lost Woods, Master Sword and Hyrule Overworld themes. This accompanied our discussion of pulling the Master Sword, or Excalibur, from its resting place. What a moment. Before that however, because it just felt right, we opened today's case with a clip of the Prelude theme from the wondrous Fantasy 7 original soundtrack, composed by Nobuo Uematsu and produced by Uematsu alongside Minoru Akao. During Moonwalker's button-popping strip, we utilised a very quick snippet from The Stripper instrumental by David Rose, recorded originally in 1958 and courtesy of label MGM. We obviously don't own the rights to this and used a quick clip as part of a self-satirical section, please don't send your agents for us.
This show we're focussing on an obscure gem from the early 90s. This low budget creeper features a bunch of film students hosting an all night 50s schlock horror marathon, complete with William Castle style gimmicks and tricks. In the criminal justice system, the podcast is represented by two separate, but equally important kinds of seasons. The odd-numbered seasons, which directly discuss Asimov's Foundation and the even-numbered seasons that talk about the Apple TV+ series. So now we start the interregnum between seasons 1 and 2 of Apple TV's Foundation. That's our cue to start Stars End season 3. That's as many seasons as Gilligan's Island or the original Star Trek but far fewer than Law & Order. We're shooting for the latter. We have a plan and if you follow our plan and listen to our podcast it will seem like far less than 30,000 years until we start to get new episodes of the teevee show. So in this episode, we start discussing Prelude to Foundation in which we meet Eto Demerzel and begin Hari Seldon's long journey to create Psychohistory. If you're reading along this time we talk about the first three sections, "Mathematician," "Flight," and "Library." But whether you're reading along or not, let's go! This will be fun!

Prelude to Creation Part 2 - Moses 1 Moses 1 is a companion chapter to Abraham 3. Both give a prelude to the visions of the Creation and the Garden of Eden. Very evident in Moses 1 is the theme of "the word" (DBR). The hierarchal structure of the heavens shows that we must be participants in the Fluid Hierarchy. This is how God accomplishes His purpose of bringing "to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

Clint Bowyer enjoyed a successful NASCAR career with some of the sport's most prestigious teams, notching 10 NASCAR CUP SERIES victories, as well as the 2008 NASCAR XFINITY SERIES championship, eight Xfinity wins and three NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES victories. Bowyer first made his mark in NASCAR at Richard Childress Racing, competing in 17 NASCAR XFINITY SERIES races in 2004 before campaigning a full season in 2005 and 2006. Bowyer initially caught the eye of Childress during a 2003 ARCA MENARDS SERIES race at Nashville Superspeedway, in which he led 47 laps and finished runner-up. Childress, watching the race from home, offered Bowyer a ride soon thereafter, and the driver left his Kansas car dealership job for North Carolina and the NASCAR XFINITY SERIES. After three Xfinity wins and ending the season second and third in points in 2005 and 2006, respectively, RCR named Bowyer as a fulltime NASCAR CUP SERIES driver in 2006. His first career Cup Series victory came in September 2007 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on his way to a third-place finish in the point standings. Bowyer continued to compete in both series simultaneously for RCR and won the 2008 NASCAR XFINITY SERIES title. While at RCR from 2004-2011, Bowyer posted eight Xfinity Series and five NASCAR CUP SERIES wins. In 2012, Bowyer moved to Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR), where he posted wins at Sonoma Raceway, Richmond Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway and finished second in the point standings in his first year. In 2013, Bowyer notched 10 top-five finishes en route to a seventh-place finish in the standings. Bowyer drove for HScott Motorsports in 2016 before joining Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) in 2017 behind the wheel of the coveted No. 14 in the NASCAR CUP SERIES, replacing three-time champ and team co-owner Tony Stewart upon his retirement. On the strength of three runner-up, six top-five and 13 top-10 finishes, Bowyer finished the season 11th, just one spot shy of a berth in the NASCAR Playoffs. His sophomore year at SHR saw Bowyer break through with a win at Martinsville Speedway and a second victory at Michigan International Speedway. Before wheeling 3,400-pound stock cars to Victory Lane on the NASCAR circuit, Bowyer cut his racing teeth on dirt bikes in his home state of Kansas. He began racing motocross in 1985, collecting more than 200 wins and several championships. Bowyer's dedication to the short-track, grassroots racing community is renowned, and it continues with his longtime ownership of the highly successful Bowyer Dirt Motorsports (BDM), which he formed in 2008 after building cars for Stewart's Prelude to the Dream charity dirt Late Model race at Eldora Speedway. Bowyer's Late Model team currently competes on the national stage and won the 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Series Championship. Bowyer also owns a car dealership, Clint Bowyer Autoplex, in his hometown of Emporia, Kan., where he formerly was employed as a lot attendant, dent specialist and detailer. In 2012, he built the Clint Bowyer Community Building with a donation from The 79 Fund, his charitable fund. As a token of its appreciation, the town of Emporia renamed the street on which the Bowyer family tow business sits as "Hon. Clint Bowyer Boulevard."Clint Bowyer Joined FOX NASCAR full time in 2021 as an analyst for FOX Sports' NASCAR CUP SERIES coverage alongside Jeff Gordon and Mike Joy. In his final season of NASCAR competition in 2020, Bowyer took on an expanded FOX NASCAR broadcasting role as an analyst for multiple NASCAR XFINITY SERIES and NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES races, in addition to FOX Sports' debut season of the eNASCAR iRACING PRO INVITATIONAL SERIES. That expanded TV role came on the heels of duties as a driver analyst for FOX NASCAR's annual "Drivers Only" NASCAR XFINITY SERIES race telecasts and select Xfinity races for several years. Alongside Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano, Bowyer was part of the original "Drivers Only" broadcast crew in 2017.

Prelude to Creation Abraham 3 and Moses 1 are preludes to the Creation and Garden of Eden stories. They set the stage for these dramas and for the doctrines. Importantly, we discover that these chapters are descriptions of visions that both Abraham and Moses receive. Therefore, we can compare them to other scriptural visions for context and understanding. Kolob then really isn't that strange seen as a metaphor for Christ. Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

Ben Luke talks to Kehinde Wiley about his influences, including artists, writers, composers, musicians and filmmakers, and the cultural experiences that have shaped his life and work. Perhaps more than any other contemporary artist, Wiley has situated himself within the history of Western portrait painting. He makes direct reference to the art of the past, quoting from artists like Holbein, Titian, Rubens, Gainsborough and David, but replacing the royal, noble and ecclesiastical figures depicted by the Old Masters with ordinary people he has encountered on the street. These “moments of impact” happen mostly in New York, where he lives much of the time, but also—in his grand ongoing project The World's Stage—in cities in Jamaica, India, Haiti, Nigeria, Brazil and beyond. As well as his project at the National Gallery in London, Wiley discusses the early influence of John Singer Sargent, his latest works relating to Caspar David Friedrich, the influence of museums like The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens and a formative visit to the Soviet Union. Plus he tells us what work of art he would most like to live with and ponders the ultimate question: what is art for?Kehinde Wiley, The Prelude, National Gallery, London, until 18 April 2022; The Obama Portraits Tour is at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art until 2 Jan 2022. He features in 30 Americans, Columbia Museum of Art, South Carolina, until 17 January 2022. Oscar-winning conductor André Previn was an unlikely choice of celebrity guest for the Christmas special of ‘The Morcambe and Wise Show' recorded on 7th December, 1971 - but the 13-minute sketch they taped together remains one of Britain's all-time favourites. The music hall-style caper - which revolves around a comically catastrophic interpretation of Grieg's Piano Concerto - was actually a reversion of a sketch Eric and Ernie had performed at least twice before, but never with a guest performer. In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly explain how Mia Farrow helped Previn nail his role in this iconic skit; explore whether the duo's comic schtick was truly as ‘classless' as is often claimed; and reflect on whether ‘Mr Preview' really knew what he was letting himself in for…Further Reading:• André Previn on ‘The Morcambe and Wise Show' (BBC, 1971): https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xds7am• 'Make any fool of me you like, but I won't have you make fun of the music' - André Previn at 80 (Classic FM, 2018): https://www.classicfm.com/artists/andre-previn/guides/andre-previn-80/• ‘The Prelude of Mr Preview: How André Previn won over Morecambe & Wise' (British Comedy Guide, 2020): https://www.comedy.co.uk/features/comedy_chronicles/andre-previn-prelude-preview/For bonus material and to support the show, visit Patreon.com/RetrospectorsWe'll be back tomorrow! Alabama Football Podcast - College Football Talk dedicated to the University of Alabama Crimson Tide
2021 SEC Championship Alabama vs Georgia Alabama Football Podcast breaks down an outstanding performance registered by the Crimson Tide in winning another conference championship. Prelude to a Heisman Against a defense previously believed to be impenetrable, Alabama's Bryce Young clocked 461 yards of total offense and 4 touchdowns. New Center of Attention The third time may be the charm as 3rd string Center Seth McLaughlin makes his first start for the Crimson Tide and proves a stabilizing influence to a much-maligned unit. Indefensible Alabama doesn't make it to the SEC Championship without the outsized contributions from transfer receiver Jamison Williams. He's speed and proved to be a riddle with no solution for the Bulldog defense. De Mark Made Alabama Defensive back Demarco Hellams made a pair of critical plays against Georgia that may be lost to history given the collection of outstanding performances turned in Saturday by Crimson Tide players. A touchdown saving pass defection coupled with a score preventing interception significantly impacted the final margin. Check out the podcast for more discussion on these and many other topics. Mini Game balls Anyone can read a headline, but which players contributed in more subtle ways to the Tide's fortune? Next Up Alabama gains entry into the College Football Playoffs and is slated to dual round one opponent Cincinnati in Dallas on December 31. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
