Welcome to the Backwoods Bowhunter Podcast. If you like bowhunting and backwoods humor, then you might have come to the right place. Our style is for you to feel like you are sitting around the campfire with your buddies, tossin' back some cold beers, talking bowhunting and whatever else may come to mind. We keep it real, raw, and have some good ole fun.Episode 56:Deer food plots come in all shapes, sizes, styles and seed types, but we are talking primarily about those hard to reach backwoods remote plots. We discuss what has worked for us in the past and some tips on how to create that small opening between bedding and main feeding areas (also known as staging areas). Lastly, we discuss some of the pros and cons involved with this style of food plots. Ray Okpara on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 1/12/22   About Ray Okpara -    An artist whose roots lie half in Nigeria represents today what we understand as House.  Percussions, drifty hypnotic beats, a touch of soul and marvelously deep. House is a feeling and Ray Okpara has his finger firmly on the pulse… The first thing that strikes you about Ray Okpara is that he's an overwhelmingly nice guy with what seems like time for everybody but behind the big smile and wiley dreads is one of house music's most serious producer/djs. Despite coming to prominence during the media's 2008 obsession with Frankfurt/Mannheim via releases on Cecille, Oslo, Get Physical and Area Remote, Okpara has been instrumental in Germany's flourishing house scene for well over a decade. Initially taking to the decks to play his close friend Johnny D's UK Garage records in the mid-90's, Okpara quickly found his groove and by the time the pair started their RAJO club night a fervent dedication to all things house engulfed the young Nigerian. In 2001 Nick Curly joined the team and the night began it's residency at The Loft in Mannheim – becoming the seed of what has since become one of the strongest house music family trees in Europe. As with most Djs, the production itch had to be scratched but, unlike most, Okpara's initial efforts betrayed an innate talent for the craft. Lomidhigh Ltd, Drumpoet Community and Arearemote are an enviable bunch to count as early adopters for any budding producer and this start just strengthened Ray's resolve. Rejoining his tight knit group of friends, now running the Oslo, Deep Vibes, Cecille and 8-Bit imprints, after a four year relocation to Berlin in 2005, Ray's reputation was cemented and the rest is history.   Now based back in Berlin with a heavy touring schedule as a DJ and a dedicated live artist, Okpara continues to go from strength to strength. His Ama label rolls out consistently quality output in an unhurried manner while his own productions continue to hit home for crowds, critics and record buyers alike. As well as ongoing relationships forged in his Mannheim days, affiliations with Oslo and Mobilee are being nurtured and with many more projects still to be unveiled 2012 and beyond is looking pretty rosy for the cheery guy. KEEP SMILING WITH HOUSE MUSIC... Ama Recordings is Ray Okpara's label out of Mannheim, Germany. Amaefule, Ray's middle name in fact, literally means “your name will never get lost” and it symbolizes the strength of identity we create through music. Ama is also derived from the Latin meaning of love and the philosophy of the label is born out of the affection held for conceiving and sharing quality electronic music. There are no rules about what Ama Recordings will sound like, but it comes from the heart, so expect true house values to be maintained at all times with a natural tipp towards the deep and dubby. http://dj.beatport.com/rayokpara  http://www.livet.de/artists/ray_okpara/ http://www.mobilee-records.de/artists/ray-okpara  http://soundcloud.com/rayokpara About The DJ Sessions -   With over 2,200 episodes produced over the last eleven years “The DJ Sessions”, a Twitch and Mixcloud “Featured Partner”, has featured international artists such as: BT, Robert Babicz, Camo & Krooked, Simon Patterson, Lindsey Stirling, Mako, Morgan Page, Jes, Cut Chemist, Yves Larock, Bjorn Akesson, Alchimyst, Judge Jules, DubFX, DJs From Mars, Ray Okpara, Rudosa, Thievery Corporation, Sander Van Dorn, GAWP, Coke Beats, Hollaphonic, Kissy Sell Out, Somna, David Morales, Roxanne, JB & Scooba, Massimo Vivona, Moullinex, Futuristic Polar Bears, Many Few, Joe Stone, Reboot, Truncate, Scotty Boy, Jody Wisternoff, Benny Bennasi, Dance Loud, Christopher Lawrence, Oliver Twizt, Ricardo Torres, Alex Harrington, 4 Strings, Sunshine Jones, Elite Force, Revolvr, Kenneth Thomas, Paul Oakenfold, George Acosta, Reid Speed, TyDi, Donald Glaude, Jimbo, Ricardo Torres, Hotel Garuda, Bryn Liedl, Rodg, Kems, Mr. Sam, Steve Aoki, Funtcase, Dirtyloud, Marco Bailey, Thousand Fingers, Dirtmonkey, Crystal Method, Beltek, Dyro, Andy Caldwell, Darin Epsilon, Kyau & Albert, Kutski, Vaski, Moguai, Blackliquid, Sunny Lax, Matt Darey, and many more.   In addition to featuring national/international artists “The DJ Sessions” featured hundreds local top DJs from their homebase of Seattle.   We have also undergone a massive upgrade in our TDJS studios and to our TDJS Mobile Studio to full HD streaming and HD audio to make the quality of the shows even better than before. Darius Syrossian, his style, attitude and passion can be summed up with three words ‘TRUE, HOUSE, MUSIC’. Darius has always worked with these three words at the forefront of his mind, and reflects these principles through his music, music that never wavers from his devotion to the groove. He is one of the core artists of Steve Lawler’s Viva family and has ticked off every major club and festival in an extensive touring schedule; his production skills have lead him to acclaim with labels such Area Remote, 8 Bit and Monique Musique.   Darius’ sets have always had a Balearic edge, often playing heavy techno alongside really low slung deeper tracks. But no matter what, all his sets have the main emphasis focussing on the groove, these themes are very obvious throughout Gangstercast 70. Darius and ‘I’M A HOUSE GANGSTER’ are a perfect combination, both parties prioritise real house music, no fad nonsense, a timeless sound. “House Gangster sound is the sound of real House music that will never sound out of date and will always be relevant." - Darius Syrossian Speaking to Darius his passion for his craft and his love of house music is obvious, not many other DJ’s show as much commitment and dedication to the genre in its purest form. “House music is EVERYTHING to me, it’s more than just a genre of electronic music, it’s my passion ,I eat & breathe it!” - Darius Syrossian

The next installment of the Egg London Podcast features two veterans who have been causing a stir once again recently. With over 40 years experience in the music industry, Paul C and Paolo Martini have certainly been, seen and done it all. Joining forces in 2009, the Italian duo have worked tirelessly in the studio not only seeing their music supported by many of the industry's biggest names, but also releasing on labels such as Hot Creations, Area Remote, Terminal M, 100% Pure, AMA Recordings, Great Stuff, Kiara Records and of course, Paul's Boutique. We caught up with them ahead of their gig at Egg London on Saturday 22nd February. Where, how and on what was the mix recorded? It's a studio mix done with 2 CDJ Pioneer 2000. It includes some of our own exclusive stuff plus some great tracks by others artists that we really like at the moment You've been production partners since 2009, do you both have a specific role in the studio? Whats your creative process? Any arguments!? Usually Paul C starts to make some beats and a groove by himself as he's very good on that and then we build it up the track together, choosing the main elements and all the rest to make sure the track works until we are both satisfied.... we care about all the details, as sometimes a very small element can be elaborated and became a successful main ingredient of the track, making it sound completely different. Today you can do miracles with the technology ... and yes we argue sometimes but at the end we always find a good compromise smiley 2013 was a massive year for you, you were signed to Jamie Jones' Hot Creations imprint and everyone here in the UK has been going crazy for PCPM sound. Any standout moments? Yes it's true it was a great year for us ... quite a few good things happened, like when our track "We Repeat" on Cecille was chosen as the soundtrack for the official trailer of "Love Family Park 2013" or when "Spunk" on Material reach No. 2 on Beatport Tech house chart, the collaboration with Mousse T on Terminal M, not forgetting the massive support we had from a lot of big DJ's, thanks to all of them! And of course, being signed to Hot Creations was something really special to us. What is your tried and tested dance floor bomb at the moment? Quite a lot of the tracks off our forthcoming EP on Hottrax always go down well, and a pair of remixes that we have just finished ...also there's a lot of good music around at the moment like the new single of Joyce Muniz - Back In The Days on Exploited and Tom Flynn - Hoochie on Hot Creations .... both of them are real bombs! Anything else you'd like to shout about? We really can't wait to come and play at the EGG on Saturday February 22nd…it's our first gig together in London and we are very excited about that ....hope to see you all there!
