Have you ever opened your computer in the morning and immediately found yourself clicking between six different tabs just to figure out what's happening in your business? As we've been onboarding founding members into Harlowe, I've been asking our staging business owners a simple question: How many tools do you log into every day to run your business? The answer is almost always the same…at least three, usually more. The reality is that most of us didn't build these systems intentionally. We solved one problem at a time. We added a booking tool, then an email platform, then project management software, then invoicing, then file storage, then proposals. Before we knew it, our clients were living in six different places. In this episode, I'm giving a name to that problem: the Six-Stack Symptom. I'll talk about why it happens, what it's really costing your business, and why adding more tools is rarely the answer. What You'll Learn What the Six-Stack Symptom is and why so many staging businesses experience it How disconnected tools quietly create more work as your business grows The difference between automation and true integration What a unified operating system for a staging business can look like RESOURCES: Apply for Private Coaching: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/privatecoachingapp Enroll in Staging Business School Accelerate Track: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/accelerate Join the Staging Business School Growth Track Waitlist: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/growth Follow the Staging Business School on Instagram: www.instagram.com/stagingbusinessschool Follow Lori on Instagram: www.instagram.com/rethinkhome If you want to learn how to streamline your operations so you can grow with less stress and burnout in your staging business, enrollment is open for Staging Business School Accelerate Track. After one of the busiest spring real estate markets of my career, I am finally coming up for air — and I'm using this "slower season" to do the work that actually matters: rebuilding systems, resetting boundaries, and getting honest about burnout. In this episode, I'm sharing what it really looked like to run a growing home staging business with a skeleton crew — think six installs and four destages in a single week with a team of three, finishing proposals at midnight, and running on nothing but determination and love for the dream. I get real about what burnout actually feels like when you're an entrepreneur, why knowing what you need and being able to do something about it are two very different things, and why my old systems — as good as they were — could only carry Dweller- Staging & Design LLC so far. This one is for the stagers, the small business owners, the real estate entrepreneurs, and anyone who has ever looked at their calendar and thought there is no way — and then pulled it off anyway, at a cost they didn't fully realize until later. In this episode I'm talking about: Why the slow season is actually the most important season for your business What burnout really looks like for entrepreneurs — and why it's not what you think The difference between systems that work and systems that scale Why my next level isn't more revenue — it's calm, boundaries, and abundance over hurry How I'm rebuilding Dweller from the inside out now that I finally have the space to do it Lauren Lefever is a licensed Realtor with Keller Williams Elite helping people find inspiration in their homes and inside themselves. In the early twentieth century, as variety shows flooded Canadian stages, new forms of blackface, inspired by modern forms of amusements, changed the theatre. In this era marked by progressive social reforms, the stage embodied the modern ethos of imitation, mimicry, and change. Staging Blackface in Canada: Public Amusements, Variety Shows, and Racial Acts in an Age of Imitation, 1898-1919 (Wilfrid Laurier Press, 2026) covers a moment when Canadians did not produce professional theatre, but they built amusement parks, wrote songs, and produced records. As the stage (drama), and its variants (burlesque, light opera) adapted elements from the new stages (amusement parks, social dance, and film), the modern culture popularized forms of blackface that impacted white, Anglo-Protestant, and English-speaking audiences, and drew theatrical criticism. This book explores a twenty-year period in Canada's history when there was no media regulation, and no mandate to promote Canadian culture. Through an examination of theatrical reviews, images, and textual records, Staging Blackface in Canada locates how the Canadian stage became a playground for ethnic jokes, racial caricature, and women's emancipation. It also locates some of the first Black musicals and operas to appear on Canadian stages. The staging claim asserts that the armed, masked individual captured on Nancy Guthrie's doorbell camera was placed there as part of a manufactured disappearance. It further claims that blood evidence at the scene, the propped-open rear door, and the footage itself — recovered by the FBI from the device manufacturer's backend systems — are components of the arrangement. No documented case of a staged abduction of a person over eighty from their own residence exists in the criminal record. The theory circulates with significant engagement on social media platforms and comment sections despite this absence of precedent.Tony Brueski and Robin Dreeke apply the standard investigative framework to the claim. Staging is a routine consideration in the early phase of any disappearance investigation — Robin explains the methodology agencies use to determine scene authenticity and what evidentiary indicators typically distinguish genuine scenes from manufactured ones. The Guthrie family has offered a million-dollar reward for information leading to Nancy's return — an action that subjects every dimension of their personal and financial lives to public and investigative scrutiny. Robin addresses the behavioral implications of that decision in the context of the staging allegation. When staged disappearances are ultimately exposed, they produce identifiable behavioral patterns in the individuals responsible. Robin evaluates whether anything in the public record of this investigation matches those patterns. The discussion concludes with the identification of the single evidentiary element that would be required for the staging theory to warrant formal investigative consideration.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Forbidden Knowledge News host Chris Mathieu explores why UFO disclosure, Skinwalker Ranch, and Sasquatch encounters may be less about the unknown — and more about who controls our understanding of reality — in episode 250 of the Far Out with Faust podcast.Chris Mathieu is the creator and host of Forbidden Knowledge News, an independent podcast exploring UFOs, consciousness, hidden history, paranormal phenomena, and alternative perspectives often overlooked by mainstream media. He is also a documentary filmmaker whose projects include Occult Louisiana and Doors of Perception, investigations into cryptids, anomalous encounters, and the nature of reality itself. In this conversation, Faust and Chris explore the growing tension between direct experience and institutional narratives in an age shaped by AI, information warfare, and competing versions of reality. From the co-opting of alternative media and debates surrounding UFO disclosure to questions about October 7th, hidden history, and elite power structures, they examine how public perception is formed, challenged, and manipulated. The discussion ultimately turns toward consciousness, spirituality, and the possibility that some of humanity's most enduring mysteries may be more connected than they appear. In this episode:• The Alternative Media Takeover: Why Chris believes figures like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens helped transform the independent media landscape• October 7th and the Power of Narrative: Why Faust never believed the Hamas attack was a surprise• The UFO Disclosure Trap: Why both men distrust official transparency more than official secrecy• What's Really Happening at Skinwalker Ranch: Paranormal phenomena, military technology, and a story involving shape-shifting nanobots• The Sasquatch Encounter That Changed Everything: A Louisiana hunter's experience with telepathic beings and a mysterious Dogman• Tartaria and Historical Resets: Could evidence of a forgotten civilization be hiding in plain sight?• The CIA's Mars Remote Viewing Session: The story that led to one of the episode's strangest conversations• Geoengineering, AI, and the Electromagnetic World: Why Alana Freeland believes the transformation is already underway• The Rothschild Question: How discussions of war, banking dynasties, and hidden influence shaped the conversation• Christianity, Consciousness, and Control: Why both men distinguish personal faith from institutional religion…and much more! The claims may be controversial. I want to talk about a question I get asked all the time: Where does the admin role stop? Where does the lead stager role begin? And where exactly does the CEO fit into all of this? The truth is, most of us never learned to think about our staging businesses this way. We started because we loved staging. We learned the craft. We got clients. We grew. And then one day we looked up and realized we were running a company with real complexity while still trying to wear every hat ourselves. What I see over and over again is that businesses often grow faster than their structure. We hire people without clearly defining the role they're stepping into. We add services without assigning ownership of the operational pieces that support them. And before we know it, everything feels heavier than it should. Today, I am breaking down three core roles that exist in every staging business—whether you have one person on your team or twenty. Understanding these roles is one of the fastest ways to identify where your business is creating unnecessary complexity and where you may be carrying work that does not actually belong to you anymore. What You'll Learn What the CEO should actually be focused on (and what they should not) Why the Admin Ops function is often the most overlooked role in a growing business How operational ownership impacts everything from scheduling to inventory visibility The hidden mental load many staging business owners carry every day RESOURCES: Apply for Private Coaching: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/privatecoachingapp Enroll in Staging Business School Accelerate Track: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/accelerate Join the Staging Business School Growth Track Waitlist: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/growth Follow the Staging Business School on Instagram: www.instagram.com/stagingbusinessschool Follow Lori on Instagram: www.instagram.com/rethinkhome If you want to learn how to streamline your operations so you can grow with less stress and burnout in your staging business, enrollment is open for Staging Business School Accelerate Track. Kelly Jones, deputy director of Louisville Metro Emergency Services, reflects on the enormous task of staging Muhammad Ali's funeral, watched by millions of people worldwide.Mr. Jones discusses the overwhelming and ever-changing plans to properly and respectfully honor Muhammad Ali as his hearse moved through the city ahead of burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. Tens of thousands of people lined the streets, essentially assisting the city by impeding traffic that could otherwise break protocol.Kelly Jones also had to deal with mulitiple representatives of foreign governments and their security agencies to assure that all visitors were protected. There were no homicides in the Louisville area for at least four days, a sadly remarkable statictic in a city that finally found peace, albeit for less than a week.

Most staging business owners don't wake up in the morning excited to think about scheduling. Yet somehow, it becomes one of the biggest invisible jobs in the business. As I've spent countless hours mapping workflows and talking with staging business owners, one theme keeps showing up. Most scheduling systems work beautifully when the business is small. The challenge comes when growth introduces more team members, more service types, overlapping appointments, public booking links, warehouse logistics, and multiple moving pieces that all need to stay connected. If you've ever felt like you're the glue holding your calendar together, this episode will make you feel seen. I explore why scheduling becomes increasingly complex as businesses grow, where traditional systems begin to break down, and what it could look like when your scheduling system starts doing more of the work for you. What You'll Learn: The two key variables every scheduling system must balance How multiple calendars, color-coding, and manual processes can create hidden points of failure The difference between client schedules and team schedules in staging businesses A simple scheduling strategy Lori used with her first team member to reduce back-and-forth communication RESOURCES: Apply for Private Coaching: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/privatecoachingapp Enroll in Staging Business School Accelerate Track: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/accelerate Join the Staging Business School Growth Track Waitlist: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/growth Follow the Staging Business School on Instagram: www.instagram.com/stagingbusinessschool Follow Lori on Instagram: www.instagram.com/rethinkhome If you want to learn how to streamline your operations so you can grow with less stress and burnout in your staging business, enrollment is open for Staging Business School Accelerate Track. We were recently talking about hiring, growth, and capacity when one business owner shared that she had successfully hired and trained team members, stepped back from doing everything herself, and yet she was still turning away work. Her spring felt better personally, but the business still hadn't truly expanded capacity. Not only her, but that is what most staging business owners do not realize: having a team does not automatically mean having more capacity. That one distinction is exactly why I built a framework around it. Today I'm walking you through what I'm calling the Stair-Step Capacity Framework to act as a guide for how to think about hiring at every stage of your business. Once you understand it, your hiring decisions start to make so much more sense, and a whole lot of the frustration and self-judgment disappear. What You'll Learn: The four distinct hiring stages in a staging business and what each one accomplishes. Why replacing yourself as the lead stager doesn't automatically increase your capacity. The critical moment when your business can truly begin to expand its volume. Why simultaneous hiring often creates organizational whiplash instead of smooth growth. First, some fun news bits on Knight Rider's K.I.T.T., how cats land on their feet, and a Times article debunking facilitated communication. Then, we talk Trump assassination rumors. This is a hot topic, and one that has many skeptics and level-headed people divided. A new poll shows a majority of Americans surveyed either thought the attempts on Donald Trump's life were staged, or were unsure whether they were staged or authentic. Trump, who has a long history of weaponizing conspiracy rumors about others, is now at the center of widely believed rumors that dismiss his assassination attempts as false flag operations or distraction efforts. We go into a list of reasons why Americans have been primed to distrust the assassination news, and look at the most common "gotcha" items the conspiracy crowd brings up as proof. Why are many people (ourselves included, to a degree) prone to believing an extraordinary claim based not on hard evidence but on our view of Trump's larger-than-life personality?
Stuart Hutchinson, VP of Sales at ADF Solutions, joins the Forensic Focus Podcast to talk about on-scene digital forensics and empowering first responders during the golden hour. Stuart shares his journey from 23 years with the Met Police — including a chance encounter in a New Scotland Yard lift that led him into Mac forensics and the vendor space at BlackBag, Cellebrite, Oxygen, and now ADF. With 99.9% of investigations involving a digital element, he argues that mishandling digital evidence at the scene is as damaging as trampling through traditional forensic evidence. The conversation covers ADF's preview mode and search profile methodology, which gives first responders advanced logical acquisitions in minutes rather than 45+ minutes for a full extraction. Stuart explains how one UK force cut lab submissions by over 40% using an intelligence-led CAID hash triage strategy, and the team discuss locked-down search profiles built at DFU level, managing collateral intrusion, building trust with victims and witnesses, and ADF's screen capture and OCR for Chromebooks, PlayStations, Xboxes, and anything with HDMI out. #ADFSolutions #OnSceneTriage #MobileForensics #CAID #CSAM #FirstResponders #DigitalForensics #DFIR 00:00 Introducing Stuart Hutchinson and ADF Solutions 02:13 From Met to Mac Forensics 07:26 Why On Scene Triage 08:01 Golden Hour Decisions 13:24 What to Triage First 16:26 ADF Field Kit Overview 18:04 Preview Mode Workflow 22:34 Search Profiles and Staging 26:38 Investigator Over Automation 28:11 Impact and CSAM Hashing 29:34 CAID Hash Triage Strategy 32:45 Efficiency Versus Thoroughness 35:07 Locked Search Profiles 37:20 Training For Limitations 42:46 Device Security Pressures 44:45 From Triage To Full Forensics 47:44 Victim Witness Phone Trust 52:27 Screen Capture And OCR 57:49 Wrap Up And Resources
AI has become one of those conversations that instantly makes people feel either excited or completely overwhelmed. This episode is for the staging business owner sitting somewhere in the middle. The tools available right now are changing the way businesses operate in real and practical ways, and there is so much opportunity in learning how to use them intentionally instead of avoiding them altogether. This week, I'm walking through the AI tools I'm personally seeing used well inside staging businesses and sharing practical examples of how they fit into real workflows. ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio, Plaud, and Notebook LM all have the ability to remove friction from parts of the business that normally take hours. The opportunities with these tools are only growing from here. What is however most important to know is that AI is not actually the missing piece for most businesses. Infrastructure is. A generated layout still needs somewhere to live. Notes still need to be connected to the project. Presentations still need to be easy to find and share with your team. How then do you combine AI and systems to work together to make your staging business feel lighter and more efficient? Come find out. What You'll Learn: Why most people are already using AI without realizing it How AI can help you with hiring and capacity planning, image generation, client communication and so much more. There's a very specific kind of exhaustion that comes with running a staging business. People often see the finished installs, the styled shelves, the walkthrough videos, and the polished final product. What they rarely see is the operational side happening late at night after the installs are complete, where the CEO is trying to hold everything together with proposals, invoices, scheduling, client communication, bookkeeping, and operations through systems that were never actually designed for the way staging businesses function. The responses to Harlowe echoed "I thought it was just me." But like I have always said, it is never just you. In what ways does running a staging business overwhelm CEOs like you? In what ways do you expect relief with your systems and processes? Let's talk about that! What You'll Learn: The invisible workload behind a "beautiful" staging business Why so many stagers feel like they're constantly white-knuckling operations The emotional weight of holding an entire business in your head What happens when systems finally support the way you actually work RESOURCES: Apply for Private Coaching: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/privatecoachingapp Enroll in Staging Business School Accelerate Track: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/accelerate Join the Staging Business School Growth Track Waitlist: www.rethinkhomeinteriors.com/growth Follow the Staging Business School on Instagram: www.instagram.com/stagingbusinessschool Follow Lori on Instagram: www.instagram.com/rethinkhome If you want to learn how to streamline your operations so you can grow with less stress and burnout in your staging business, enrollment is open for Staging Business School Accelerate Track. A missed renewal, a lost proposal, a delayed payment… we often brush these off as "one of those weeks." But often, these tiny, mundane moments are actually red flags pointing to a much larger problem. Working more closely with staging CEOs lately, I've noticed a pattern: a quiet drain on time, energy, and money. It's not that these Stagers are disorganized; it's that their systems are failing them. Running a staging business on fragmented, disconnected tools creates a massive, hidden mental load and operational bottleneck. Instead of trying to "duct-tape" a broken backend, it's time to build systems that support your growth. Let's talk about how to implement a functional fix that serves you for good. What You'll Learn: Why a booked-out, thriving staging business can still be one admin's resignation away from chaos. Four shifts that make the biggest operational difference, regardless of what tools you're currently using. What "designing for delegation" means and why it matters even if you're a team of one. What Lori has been quietly building for staging businesses and how to be part of the founding group. In this episode, Jason discusses a critical yet often overlooked issue in construction: staging materials on a freshly placed concrete deck. He highlights the inefficiencies and risks associated with overcrowding the deck too soon with reinforcing bars and other materials. Jason shares his frustrations with seeing work areas being unnecessarily filled with materials before proper layout and tasks are completed. He outlines five key rules that can completely transform deck construction processes, increase safety, and save valuable time. By sticking to these rules, Jason emphasizes the importance of working smarter and respecting the product you're building to avoid unnecessary rework and wasted time. What you'll learn in this episode: The dangers and inefficiencies of staging materials on a freshly placed deck. Why you should avoid the "set it and forget it" approach to materials on the deck. How to keep your concrete decks organized, clean, and ready for success. The importance of coordinating with all trades and following lean principles. How the right planning and prep work on a concrete deck can save rework and ensure smoother operations. Hello! This is Episode 397, and in it, I’m going to talk about staging your project. Whether you’re building new or renovating, for a range of reasons, you may be thinking you don’t want to do everything all at once. And so, in this episode I’m going to share the things you need to consider, how to avoid mistakes, and what’s involved in getting it right when staging your project. [For all resources mentioned in this podcast and a free, downloadable PDF transcript, head to www.undercoverarchitect.com/397] This follows on from the last podcast, Episode 396, so if you haven't listened to that one yet, I'd recommend starting there. In that episode, I talked about Feasibility Studies at the start of your project, and how to understand your options and gather enough information before committing to a specific direction in your project. The thinking in that episode sets up a lot of what we're covering in this episode about staging, so it’s also worth listening to. Staging can be a smart approach in a project. If you can't do everything at once, or you're planning to live in your home while work is happening around you, or there are parts of your project that are a few years away, for example a pool, a studio, a second stage of renovation, then staging can definitely be a viable path. But staging without a strategic plan is where it can get expensive. And so, I want to make sure you have what you need to approach this in a way that works for you, and doesn’t create problems long-term. As always, if you’d like to access a full transcript of this episode and links to the resources I mention, head to www.undercoverarchitect.com/397. Now, let’s dive in! For the second time in 12 years Glasgow is preparing to host the Commonwealth Games after Australia's Victoria state pulled out because of increased costs. Victoria's withdrawal raised questions about whether the 2026 games would go ahead before Glasgow agreed to step in. Staging a sporting mega-event is expensive and governments face increasing scrutiny over public spending. Victoria's decision raised wider questions about affordability for potential hosts. At the same time, critics question the Games' political relevance, given its origins in Britain's colonial past. The Commonwealth Games Federation says the event can be delivered in a more sustainable way and argues that it brings cultural and economic benefits to host cities, but recent editions have run into significant costs and budget pressures. This week on The Inquiry, Tanya Beckett asks ‘Is it time to scrap the Commonwealth Games?'ContributorsDr Stuart Whigham, Senior Lecturer in Sport, Coaching and Physical Education at Oxford Brookes University, UKDr Matthew McDowell, Lecturer in Sport Policy, Management, and International Development at the University of Edinburgh, UK Dr Verity Postlethwaite, Lecturer in Strategic Event Management at Loughborough University, UKProfessor Gayle McPherson, Associate Dean for Research at the University of the West of Scotland, and Director of Legacy and Community Engagement for Commonwealth Games Scotland, UKPresenter: Tanya Beckett Producer: Matt Toulson Researcher: Evie Yabsley Technical Producer: Craig Boardman Editor: Tom Bigwood Production Management: Phoebe Lomas and Liam Morrey(Photo: Commonwealth Games Gold Medal.
