Julian Collazos is making his Mindshake debut following music on other prestigious record labels such as Moon Harbour Recordings, Circus Recordings and Hottrax. He also runs his own imprint called Duff Music, and this release showcases his trademark style, which combines upbeat and organic percussion with infectious basslines. Originally from Columbia, but currently living in Malaga (Spain), Julian Collazos' music captures the humid climates of his surroundings, and translates them into heat on the dancefloor. Not only is he a successful producer, but he is also a skilled DJ who has dazzled dancefloors across South America and Europe. ▬ “Asi, Salsa” closes the release with jazzy piano bursts layered over an organic percussion loop, which lays a foundation for the tracks' hypnotic groove. ►► follow : @mindshakerecords - @julian-collazos

Yazmina is a UK based Producer and DJ who grew up in Hackney, London. Her production and sets are a mix of Tech House, Minimal and Bass/Garage House, influenced by 90s through to current day House using a lot of old school Rnb, Hip Hop and Soul vocal samples. Summary Yazmina shares her journey in the music industry, from being in a pop rock band to exploring electronic music and eventually signing tracks to labels like Hottrax and Glasgow Underground. She talks about the importance of self-creation in her music and the balance between using sample packs and creating her own sounds. Yazmina also discusses her approach to making music, including a well organised approach to her files and back ups! She emphasises her key habit as the need to step away from a track and come back to it with fresh ears for better productivity and output. Yazmina shares her approach to managing her time in the studio, emphasizing the importance of stepping away to avoid burnout. She finds it productive to take breaks and engage in activities outside of the studio, as it helps her maintain energy and focus. Being a full-time producer has allowed her to have more flexibility in her schedule and implement a healthier structure. Yazmina also discusses the impact of rejection and how she has learned to handle it better over time. She advises other producers to invest in themselves, avoid comparing themselves to others on social media, and set clear goals. Takeaways Yazmina's approach to making music involves having a well organised file and back up system. Knowing when to away from a track and coming back to it with fresh ears for better productivity and output. Stepping away from the studio can be productive and help prevent burnout. Setting clear goals and creating a visual representation of them can help track progress and stay motivated. Handling rejection is a skill that can be developed over time, and it's important not to take it personally.

Keep it Big. Keep it Sexy. Keep it Plump - the slogan of Knapp's record label Plump Records. Why exactly those three words? Kevin has the answer. Kevin Knapp is a force to be reckoned with, a musical heavyweight known for his jackin’ house style and lifelong penchant for standout vocals. With releases on Hot Creations, Dirtybird, Hottrax, Sola, Crosstown Rebels Truesoul, and more, few DJs have as much passion and dedication to the industry as Knapp. He turned heads in 2012, proclaiming “My Beat Will Control You" with Audiojack, and his first Hot Creations cut, “TheDrums,” alongside A&R Richy Ahmed in 2013 is still owning dance floors to this day. It was an honor to welcome the Texas-bred, Berlin-based DJ at the Dance Music Event Berlin 2020 and talk to him about his career, his life and of course his music. We had a really deep conversation with a lot of detailed answers. Why did Kevin move to Berlin? What people have inspired him the most in his career? And when did he realize that he has a very special voice? Keep it sexy! The next installment of the Egg London Podcast features two veterans who have been causing a stir once again recently. With over 40 years experience in the music industry, Paul C and Paolo Martini have certainly been, seen and done it all. Joining forces in 2009, the Italian duo have worked tirelessly in the studio not only seeing their music supported by many of the industry's biggest names, but also releasing on labels such as Hot Creations, Area Remote, Terminal M, 100% Pure, AMA Recordings, Great Stuff, Kiara Records and of course, Paul's Boutique. We caught up with them ahead of their gig at Egg London on Saturday 22nd February. Where, how and on what was the mix recorded? It's a studio mix done with 2 CDJ Pioneer 2000. It includes some of our own exclusive stuff plus some great tracks by others artists that we really like at the moment You've been production partners since 2009, do you both have a specific role in the studio? Whats your creative process? Any arguments!? Usually Paul C starts to make some beats and a groove by himself as he's very good on that and then we build it up the track together, choosing the main elements and all the rest to make sure the track works until we are both satisfied.... we care about all the details, as sometimes a very small element can be elaborated and became a successful main ingredient of the track, making it sound completely different. Today you can do miracles with the technology ... and yes we argue sometimes but at the end we always find a good compromise smiley 2013 was a massive year for you, you were signed to Jamie Jones' Hot Creations imprint and everyone here in the UK has been going crazy for PCPM sound. Any standout moments? Yes it's true it was a great year for us ... quite a few good things happened, like when our track "We Repeat" on Cecille was chosen as the soundtrack for the official trailer of "Love Family Park 2013" or when "Spunk" on Material reach No. 2 on Beatport Tech house chart, the collaboration with Mousse T on Terminal M, not forgetting the massive support we had from a lot of big DJ's, thanks to all of them! And of course, being signed to Hot Creations was something really special to us. What is your tried and tested dance floor bomb at the moment? Quite a lot of the tracks off our forthcoming EP on Hottrax always go down well, and a pair of remixes that we have just finished ...also there's a lot of good music around at the moment like the new single of Joyce Muniz - Back In The Days on Exploited and Tom Flynn - Hoochie on Hot Creations .... both of them are real bombs! Anything else you'd like to shout about? We really can't wait to come and play at the EGG on Saturday February 22nd…it's our first gig together in London and we are very excited about that ....hope to see you all there!
