As a mother, an entrepreneur, a master business coach, a wellness consultant, and the founder of Less Caption More Action, today's guest, Gabrielle, is especially well placed to talk about how we can all use our voices and our platforms, however large or small they may be, to impact change in the world. Gabrielle and I talk about her experiences as an entrepreneur and using her gifts and talents to help others, especially women of color, to grow their businesses, and what it means to bring your authentic, human, self to your work and platform. No matter where you are, who you are, or what your platform looks like, we can all make a difference and as you listen today, you, too, can bring positive change to the world. Key Takeaways:Too many people overcomplicate the entire process of building a lifestyle business, especially women. It can be easier and lighter. It can be simple. You do not need to suffer to be successful. Lean into your strengths and enjoy what you do. The cause has to be more important than the fear that you have of speaking out.We can all do something. We can take action within our own spheres. Our businesses are a tool to do that. "You don't need to overthink it. Take imperfect action. She is exclusive, elusive, flies under the radar and is completely killing it in the marketing and the PR industry. Our expert in focus is someone that intrigues and fascinates me more than most people that I have come across in recent times. Not because I had absolutely no idea who she was before her name came across my desk but because I love the way she goes about it. “Relationships and clients always first”. Nikki Milne is the founder of the Perth Collective a PR agency, founder of the newly launched Singlet which is a business accelerator and training course platform, not to mention at the same time a mum of three and a very supportive hubby. With an enormous social media following a former hairdresser to the stars and now a communications trainer and agency owner this lady works all the angles for her clients. Nikki is a business and a brand builder first and if everything falls into place then the PR element kicks in. The client gets my 15 years' experience of running a successful business. “I am literally going to take over the business and you need to trust me that I am going to make this work” is what Nikki will say and her clients will just need to roll with this. The refreshing elements here is that it is blunt, no sugar coating required and to the point. Exclusivity has a very strong marketing appeal for many clients and Nikki enforces this with precision. When you are disciplined to only work with those that are a right fit and not just those with a bag of money then you know you are being true to your brand. The reason I might not have known about Nikki is that she specialises in creative, beauty + hair, retail, and hospitality industries. These areas have never been my strong points but be assured this is Nikki's bread and butter. A client list that many would dream of not to mention that she takes on Australia's Queen of PR Sweaty Betty CEO Roxy Jacenko's clients here in Perth. If Perth had a Roxy Jacenko then Nikki Milne would be her name. There are a few pretenders out there trying to do this but not at the level or the standard that this young lady sets. Watch out for Nikki as you will be hearing more about her in the media.
