Growing up, Rusty was diagnosed as legally deaf in the second grade. He had a difficult childhood being raised by a single mother and Grandma on a 300-acre ranch outside a small town in Northern California. Rusty is a father of two and loves basketball, golf, tennis, and long-distance running. Last year he completed his first marathon, and he has a goal to someday complete an IronMan and 50k marathon.
