Welcome back to the graveyard. We are taking on the table service restaurants of Disney Springs for our completely unbiased, and unreliable, ranking system. What fine establishment will join the likes of 1900 Park Fare, Tusker House, 50s Prime Time, Cinderella's Royal Table and Biergarten? Thanks for listening and have a great weekend. We hope you'll be back Monday.

I’ve heard several people mention that they often bypass the dessert course because they don’t want to feel stuffed walking around the park. This is my tip: instead of bypassing dessert, ask your server for a cup of fruit to go. Early on in our last trip, a server offered this as an option to my 5 year old and we ended up doing it for at least one of us at every meal. It especially works well if you have a stroller with a cooler bag, to keep the fruit from going bad too quickly. This actually worked really well for us, as a family with a toddler who wasn’t getting additional snack credits. But regardless of your family dynamics, a cup of fruit to go is often a wonderful substitute for a table service dessert in the parks.” Subscribe to get new episodes There are a few ways to get new episodes of WDW Prep To Go (if you're used to listening on the website, subscribe so you can take new episodes with you on your phone) Subscribe in iTunes (and please leave a review!) WDW Beyond the Gates Episode #270 - Lion King Menu at Jiko and Other News In this week's episode of the Beyond the Gates Podcast, Mike & Gary discuss some news from Walt Disney World. Today's podcast is a look at the restaurants that I personally am not that fond of, and probably won't return to - given the plethora of choices that exist around the resort. Its not that any of them are bad, its about the bang for the buck, given my tastes and what they offer. Its really about how, IMHO, they miss the mark in some way. For some of them, its the way they use their space, for some its the food, and for a few the "experience" is great but its off for some reason. Now I know that - probably - no one will agree with my list in its entirety, and I'm sure some will think I left off a restaurant. But I wanted to throw out my list and get the conversation started. #10: Mickeys backyard bbq / Hoop De Doo #9: Tony's Town Square #8: Garden Grill #7: Liberty Tree Tavern #6: Pizza Planet #5 O'hana (breakfast) #4: Chef Mickeys (dinner) #3 1900 Park Fare (breakfast) #2: Cinderella's Royal Table #1: 50's Primetime Cafe Have a restaurant you feel this way about? Want to quibble with my list? Post a comment! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
