Payments should never slow service down, but too often they do.In this episode of the Tech on Toast podcast, Chris is joined by Tom Usher, Engineering Manager at Dojo, to explore how modern payments technology is being built specifically for the realities of hospitality. The conversation dives into Dojo Pocket, a handheld ordering and payments device designed to keep teams on the floor, reduce friction during service, and help operators turn tables faster without compromising guest experience.Tom shares why Dojo chose to build its own hardware and payments stack, how reliability and uptime are critical in hospitality, and why even small moments of friction can have a big impact on revenue, staff stress, and customer satisfaction. The episode also covers cloud infrastructure, resilience at scale, security and trust at the point of payment, and why intuitive design matters in an industry with high staff turnover. If you're thinking about tableside payments, handheld devices, or how to give time back to your team, this episode is a must listen.
Mark thought he had a solid first date—drinks turned into appetizers, the conversation flowed, and Alyssa was sharp, funny, and refreshingly direct. So when she stopped responding the very next day, he was caught completely off guard. What went wrong, and was the connection ever as mutual as it felt?
In today's episode, we run through the list of Disney's table service restaurants.

It's March Madness season, and the tournament fun continues on this episode of the Main Street Magic Podcast—but this time, we're heading into the delicious world of table service dining at Walt Disney World. We are back to break down a bracket challenge featuring some of the most popular, iconic, and flavorful dining locations across the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs to find out which restaurant will be crowned the ultimate champion. This culinary showdown spans four themed regions: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom, and Resorts & Disney Springs. Each division is stacked with beloved restaurants, from character dining favorites to signature fine dining experiences. Matchups are judged across five key categories that define what makes a dining experience truly magical at Walt Disney World: food quality and flavor, theming and atmosphere, value for the price, service and overall experience, and popularity among guests. We discuss each restaurant head-to-head, diving into what sets them apart—from unique menus and immersive design to guest satisfaction and whether the overall experience justifies the cost. As always, we bring our personal experiences, insights, and a few fun stories along the way, making each matchup a tough and entertaining call. Will a high-end signature restaurant win it all, or will a fan-favorite character meal pull off the upset? Can nostalgia or theming outshine culinary innovation? And which restaurant has the broadest appeal to guests of all ages and tastes? It's a bracket built for foodies, Disney fans, and anyone who loves talking about great meals and magical memories.Tune in and play along as we narrow the field of 32 down to one ultimate table service champion. We're going to Disney World! But how do you get there? What does it typically cost? Is it really a once-in-a-lifetime trip that is growing out of reach for many families? Today we tackle our budget breakdown of a typical family trip to Disney, with our exclusive tips and tricks on how to make your vacation work for your budget.Chapters#1 Disney World LingoThere are three categories of accommodations at Disney World and those are: Value, Moderate and Deluxe. As you can imagine, the perks you get with each level increase as the price increases. There are a few sweet spots in each category but they generally have a price range they stick to. By knowing each category, you'll know exactly what to expect and whether or not you want to splurge to get a nicer resort. There are also three categories of dining at Disney and those are: Quick Service, Table Service and Signature Dining. In our base level budget that we mention in just a second- we only calculate Quick Service food- which is a cafeteria style experience. If you are looking for sit down meals, you'll need to up your budget as well. #2 Our Base Budget Our base budget takes into account a family of four, 2 adults and 2 children (under 9 in Disney's eyes). We have them at a value resort, 4 days at the park (one park per day) and eating 2 quick service meals a day (eating their own food for breakfast and sandwiches for the pool) and about $1000 in transportation- of course this will depend on how you plan to get there. Our budget is $5,000 with all this included. Starting with the base budget, you can see if you want to cut down on that- for example staying off property. Or if you feel like you can add to that- which of course the opportunities for that are endless at Disney World.#3 Our opinion on popular additionsThe #1 splurge in our opinion is a fireworks dessert party. #2 is a droid or lightsaber building reservation (if you're really into Star Wars!). We don't feel like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is worth it, but there are many furloughed cast members on the facebook page: Ear for Each Other, that do an amazing job!
