Annie and Dan return to discuss the decidedly boring Disney news of the week, which touches on Gondolas, delayed openings, and definitely not Notre Dame. Then they play a rousing game of "Would you Rather?" and finish with an Easter-Themed Resurrection main topic.
Annie and Dan return to talk about the recent Disney happenings including the smoking ban, the stroller restrictions, the end of a 'commemorative brick' era, and Star Wars "Galaxy's Edge". Then they do a deep dive on all of the new additions coming to Epcot in the next few years.
Annie and Dan return with a wall-to-wall Disney podcast, where they talk about parking lot misadventures, the Frozen 2 trailer, the live-action Aladdin trailer, and more. They have a strange conversation about Wreck It Ralph 2, and then they discuss the extra long lines the parks are seeing these days. This is followed by some 'confirmed by the creators' theories about some of our favorite Disney movies like Cars, Zootopia, and Aladdin. Lastly, the duo propose their own special Disney Tours that should immediately become available.
Annie and Danny return for a very special Valentine's day episode! First, as usual, they chat about nothing in particular for a while, and then they go into a rare Annie-Generated Newscast. Some of the topics on the agenda are Disney's loophole closing for Fastpass +, a new very pricey VIP experience, the coming of Peabo Bryson, and also of Kevin the bird. The second half of the episode is dedicated to a very classy, and not at all explicit game of "F**k, Marry, Kill" with Disney Characters. Needless to say, it gets pretty weird.
Annie and Dan start the episode talking about the distinction between being stupid and seeming stupid. They discuss the Disney News of the day, including the first official Disney LGBTQ event in Disneyland Paris, the best Bars at Walt Disney World resorts, the stupidity of people standing up on rides, and some random rumors here and there. Annie discovered one of the great lost IMDB movie reviewers, and we enjoyed some of his old reviews of Disney classics such as Muppet Treasure Island, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Last, the duo pitch the first of what promises to be many blocks of Disney TV spin-offs starring favorite characters from the Disney movie library.
This is the week Annie and Dan transition from fun-loving, foul-mouthed Disney devotees to hard-hitting, hard-boiled conspiracy theorists who tear the masks off of society and reveal the dirty underbelly of the world. Just kidding. It's more of the usual mindless chatter about Las Vegas, Fyre Fest, and the Flaming Twitter Fire created by Bob Iger. Of course, Dan saves some room for some complaints about DVC, the duo talk about the end of Illuminations, and what kind of person buys a stolen animatronic.
Annie and Dan return after their longest hiatus yet to discuss the newest Disney news, gossip, and opinions. They also spend an inordinate amount of time parsing non-Disney movie trailers, talking about collectibles, making dumb jokes, and generally goofing off. Get it? Goof?
Annie and Danny return from a long absence, and they're just as amazing as always. They talk about the Disney news of the moment, which this week includes rat bites, emotion-sensing ride technology, D23 dates for a year from now, a possible new park at Tokyo Disney (Maybe Tokyo DisneySky), the decapitation of animatronic heads around the world, and even a beautiful story about how Coco touches everyone's hearts and we all cry about it. Dan also rails against the rising number of 1-star Flight of Passage reviews that have absolutely nothing to do with the ride, and more to do with the weak, puny bladders of park goers (or their large calves). Join us!
Annie and Dan return this week to talk about the very Facebookesque topic of wishing people Happy Holidays versus Merry Christmas... That's about it. Just kidding! They also talk about the folks at Parkeology doing WDW47s for people, and how difficult it would be to do with the newly added Pandora rides. Mostly, though, they talk about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Spoilers start around minute: 26:30 They talk about Poe and Finn and Rey and Kylo and Leia and C3PO and BB8 and Luke and Snoke and yes... this is an obvious SEO grab.
Annie and Danny return from hiatus to discuss the holidays, more takeaways from Dan's trip to Walt Disney World (including that time he made a really old man feel bad at the Dumbo ride in Magic Kingdom). Dan also touches on his impressions of the new Pandora attractions, Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey. Dan then briefly touches on his reviews of the new Walt Disney World restaurants (Tiffins, Jungle Skipper Cantina, Morimto's, Art Smith's, and Frontera Cocina). It's all very thorough. Then the duo turns their attentions to the Frozen short before 'Coco' and 'Coco' itself. Spoiler Alert... They liked one of them, and didn't like the other. See if you can guess which one is trash, and which will be held up along with the rest of the Pixar, Disney pantheon of great films.
Annie and Dan return after Dan's trip to Walt Disney World and break down the trip, day by day. Of course, because they're both wordy as all get-out, they only get through the first two days of the trip, starting with Day one at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and dinner at Boma, and finishing with Day two at Epcot, and dinner at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs. Among other digressions, Dan discusses his theory that Fastpass Plus is increasing wait times overall, Frozen's quality as a ride, and some of the new Pandora attractions.
Annie and Dan return again on this Indigenous People's Day to discuss Annie's screening of the cinematic classic 'Spooky Buddies', the Miami Dolphins coach doing cocaine, and Summer blockbusters with real snowy or cold settings (prompted by Annie's re-watch of the Beauty and the Beast live action film from this Spring), how Annie only has 3 mom stories now, Dan's impression of Tom Cruise's new movie "American Made", and how they've slowly been world building around the memes of the podcast this whole time. The duo spend the last half of the show talking about the planned portion of Dan's itinerary for his upcoming Disney trip. They'll be trying some new restaurants (Morimoto Asia, Art Smith's Homecoming, Jungle Skipper), and some new rides (Flight of Passage, Frozen Ever After), and enjoying the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.
Annie and Dan are joined by friend of the pod, Celeste (@hyperionceleste) to break down the Disney animated classic Pinocchio. Tune in to hear our takes on the most awkward moments, heartwarming scenes, best songs, best voice performances, and more. Pinocchio spoilers are everywhere in this one, so if you don't want to know what happened in the 77 year old movie, you may wanna skip this one... or you know... watch the flick and listen along! Why do some of the animals have human traits, and some are just animals? Why does Geppetto send Pinocchio to school within moments of knowing him? Would you wanna live through the apocalypse? Was Monster just misunderstood? Get it all within this Pleasure Island!
Annie and Dan have just about nothing to say this week, so they ramble on about all manner of things. They talk about the Taco Bell drive-thru, making Christmas wreaths, Dan's dislike for beloved children's movies of the 80s, Annie's fake chocolate allergy, Rutherford B Hayes, and other various topics. Annie reads some 1-Star Disney reviews where we hear about a group of people wandering the parking lots of Disney World, folks eating hot dogs in the rain, and the bottomless drinking cups. Lastly, the duo decide which attraction at each park they'd get rid of.
Annie and Dan are joined this week by friend and listener, Daffy Stardust. Together they discuss more of Dan's Harry Potter fixation, Annie's attendance at the movie 'It' (No spoilers), Dan's tattoo, and that's before they even get into the Disney News! News includes information on how Hurricane Irma impacted the parks, how Disneyland's Halloween Party sold out in record time, and they discuss Disney Pin candles way too long. Dan goes on a rant about 1-Star Disney World Yelp reviews. The group spends the last 30 minutes of the episode talking about Daffy's recent Disney World trip, which includes his impressions of Pandora, and some tips for getting on Expedition Everest without a wait.
Annie and Dan return and discuss the latest update in the Mikram Saga, Dan's new King Candy tattoo, Dave Navarro's suspected veganism, and the impact of Hurricane Irma on Walt Disney World. The majority of the ep is focused around the delights and menus of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Dan reads off each of the menus available, and they decide which item on each they'll want to enjoy. Interspersed among the different menus, Annie and Dan trade off asking each other obscure-ish Disney trivia.
Annie and Dan discuss various and sundry things at the start of the episode this week, including rich people flying to see the solar eclipse, Annie's NetFlix watching habits, and Dan's continued obsession with Harry Potter. Dan reads the Disney news, which includes updates on "One Man's Dream", The discontinuation of Disney's Express Transportation service, Animal Kingdom's "Ultimate Nights of Adventure" tour, the 35th Annual International Food and Wine Festival, and some rumors that Annie did not like about the upcoming Coco horning in on Gran Fiesta Tour. In their main topic, they discuss their 3 Disney Genie Wishes, which shockingly includes food and Harry Potter, and ways to experience Horizons again.
Annie and Dan return and discuss all kinds of non-Disney topics this week, including Dan enjoying feeling smug, fooling his dogs, and more of Dan's break-down of Harry Potter. They also talk about Annie's dislike for Newsies, and her trip to the Dentist. The Harry Potter discussion this time focuses mostly on Wizard Bachelors and the insane behavior of Dolores Umbridge. They spend a few minutes talking about the movie Logan Lucky, which they both saw this week. For those of you who want to avoid spoilers, that's minute 42:12 to minute 52:00. Lastly they talk about Dan's issues with the current Fastpass Plus bias toward the East Coast, and how unfair it is for him and his white privilege that he had to wake up early.
Annie and Dan hit the ground running and talk about a bunch of stuff, including Fred Armisen, improvised singing, the new website "Reddit", Dan's promotion, and some serious spoilers of The Dark Tower movie, which isn't even Disney. They briefly talk about the closing of The Great Movie Ride and Universe of Energy. The round out the last half of the episode by playing a rousing game of "Disney Would You Rather", and while it's not nearly as dirty as it sounds, its definitely just as fun.
Annie and Dan return and discuss a whole lot of items this week. Before they even get into the Disney they discuss Rosie O'Donnell, Wizarding World of Harry Potter, movies they've seen, and Dan tells a story about a co-worker. The news is brief, but they do mention the passing of Marty Sklar, the completion of the Slinky Dog ride at Toy Story Land, and even a little bit of Mission Space. Then Dan does some One-Star Yelp Reviews for Animal Kingdom, where he does an offensive Boston accent, listens to complaints about Fastpasses, the cold weather, and possible racism. Lastly, they talk about a couple of YouTube videos where people act like varying levels of idiots in ways related to Disney.
Annie and Dan start the episode talking about Annie's trip to the dentist, people's assumptions about 'Disney People', Fair Food, and the weird story about Disney's failed relationship with Jake Paul and Bizaardvark. They also talk about the idea that they're merely the idea of a fictional character, who is the work of R. Kelly. They take a brief trip "Off Property" to talk about the new Planet of the Apes movie (they both liked it) Lastly they spend a while bickering about what tasks should comprise their Disney World Scavenger Hunt. The episode was sponsored by Lane Cohen's Below Par, available on Amazon
Annie and Dan return and talk about Dan's Jury Duty and Annie's mice friends before they dive into the real deal Disney talk. First Annie goes on a little bit of a socialist rant against Sofia the First, a kids show about a princess. Once that's completed, they talk about all of the announcements from the recent D23 convention. Some of which include the new Star Wars Land (Star Wars Galaxy's Edge), the new Tron attraction coming to Magic Kingdom, the Toy Story Land, the Star Wars Hotel, new DVC properties, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and a whole lot more. Lastly they start the conversation toward coming up with a concrete plan for an official Podcast Challenge/Scavenger Hunt. The Podcast is sponsored by "Below Par" by Lane Cohen
Annie and Dan return and discuss the Disney news of the week, which includes the end of the Siemens sponsorship, some wild speculation on the future rides of Epcot, a really expensive Disneyland map being sold, and announced changes to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Then they go "off Property" to talk a little about Harry Potter. Lastly, they spend the final few minutes of the show discussing the new Spider-Man movie. Spoilers abound in this section. Oh! And they have a sponsor in the book "Below Par" by Lane Cohen.
Annie and Dan return to actual Disney-related content, by going through the recent Disney news items. They discuss the possible property values at Walt Disney World, which leads into the revelation that Dan would like to be a despot. Among other things, they talk about the five new dining "concepts" coming at Disney Springs, which include something from Wolfgang Puck, something from Jose Andres, and something that Dan described as a 'hipster masturbation fantasy'. Annie brings back the "One Star Reviews" segment, which includes a review where a lady really hates this one particular rock. Lastly, they both watched Pixar's Cars 3, and they go into a pretty detailed, spoiler-laden review of the flick.
Annie and Dan record without a plan for the 2nd week in a row, and it's unclear if it's laziness, or just more fun. We'll see if the pattern continues moving forward. For this ep, they talk about the movie going experience, and go very deep on Tom Cruise and The Mummy reboot, as well as the birth of "Dark Universe" or whatever the heck that's supposed to be. They talk a little about some upcoming Disney movies, and then briefly talk about the possible tours he can take on his October visit to Walt Disney World, and the under-discussed Disney World miniature golf courses.
Annie and Dan prepare even less than usual this week, and completely wing an episode with no pre-planning. They still manage to talk about Pirates of the Caribbean, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the new Pandora area at Animal Kingdom. Dan asks Annie for her most quotable Disney movie, the minutia of Annie's day, Captain Phillips memes, popular current trailers, they have a game of 20 Question about what movie Annie bought out of the discount bin at Walgreens...but mostly they talk about Annie's weird burp noises.
Before diving into the Disney news, Annie and Dan discuss a very bizarre incident Dan experienced during his lunch break. Then they discuss the Walt Disney World Hall of Presidents, and what should be done with it. They discuss Zootopia being the subject of a copyright lawsuit. They talk about how Lularoe is taking over the world, and how Disney will be live-streaming the dedication of Pandoraland on their blog. Once the news is done, Dan and Annie celebrate "Graduation Season" by handing out some Disney Hero Superlatives such as "Best Smile" and "Best Dressed". Or maybe entirely different ones. Check it out!
Annie and Dan return and discuss the additional Disney Cruise Line locations and routes, the utterly pointless observation deck at Tomorrowland for the 'occasional fireworks', and the length and quality of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. Then Dan wastes everyone's time by going through a pointless list from MiceChat. After that nonsense, they talk about Beauty and the Beast, finally, Johnny Depp's mounting insanity, and the early word on Pandora. They finish up with some listener questions.
Annie and Dan return and discuss the Disney news of the day, including the relative merits of the Disney Dining Plan, whether 'free' really means 'free', the Splash Mountain refurb this fall, Epcot's refillable wine glass, the expansion of Club 33, and the possible added scene from The Last Jedi into Star Tours. Then they talk about the rumors surrounding the Great Movie Ride... maybe soon to become the Great Mickey Ride? Lastly they discuss Dan's exploits in Disneyland this past weekend.
