Dallas-Fort Worth has officially hit 100 degrees. The first triple-digit day for the year arrived Tuesday just before 4 p.m. And it's forecasted to get even hotter. The National Weather Service's Fort Worth office has projected that today and tomorrow will both reach a high of 103. In other news, a gag order was issued Monday in the Karmelo Anthony murder case. That's according to Collin County court records. A gag order is typically issued in criminal cases to prevent parties in the case, such as lawyers or witnesses, from speaking about the case publicly; a key Texas Senate Republican chairman leading congressional redistricting hearings in Austin said Tuesday he is skeptical about assertions by the U.S. Department of Justice that the current congressional district maps in the state violate voters' rights; a former pastor and school volunteer who was booked into the Denton County jail in May has been indicted on possession of child pornography charges, according to court records; and the world's largest online retailer could soon be coming to Terrell. On Tuesday, Hunt Realty Investments announced the sale of 120 acres in Terrell, 30 miles east of Dallas, for an international distribution center. Learn more about your ad choices. Howard Blum Breaks Down The Latest Kohberger Evidence Since Gag-Order Lift Description: What changed after the gag order was lifted in the Bryan Kohberger case? Plenty — and in this detailed breakdown, Howard Blum walks us through the new pieces of evidence and insight that finally came to light once the court silenced no more. From the disturbing timeline of the Ka-Bar knife purchase to the now-infamous early morning phone call to Kohberger's dad, Blum connects the dots on what each new detail tells us about the suspect's planning, mindset, and potential motive. We also dig into what didn't surface — and why that matters. What was missing from the prosecution's plea statement? Why didn't we get more direct answers about motive, digital footprint, or psychological evaluations? Alongside former FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke, we explore how the case now stands in the public record — what we know, what we suspect, and what Kohberger may still be holding back for future leverage. This is your full debrief on everything we've learned since the gag order came down — and how those new pieces might still shift public understanding of the most haunting college homicide case in recent memory. If you think it's over, think again. #BryanKohberger #IdahoFour #HowardBlum #GagOrderLifted #NewEvidence #TrueCrimeToday #HiddenKillers #MoscowMurders #KohbergerUpdate #ForensicBreakdown #CriminalInvestigation Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this episode we learn that Raees Mohamed has filed a motion to stay while attorney Andrew Gould works on an appeal of Judge Pineda's decision. It is our thoughts that this is a delay tactic. Brandon Rafi is more interested in silencing Gil than worried about witness intimidation. We recount how one witness stated she would only help Raees and Brandon if her photos were removed form the website. We document in this podcast that we reached out to Leah Vulic who's allegedly the attorney for Mustafa Derahovic and she has not responded to 2 emails. Then, we take a closer look at Raees Mohamed from a perception vs. perspective lens. Flashy car, flashy suit, swanky office… but behind the smoke and mirrors? Still (in our humble opinion) 100% a bad lawyer.
Watch the full coverage of the live stream on The Emily D. Baker YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/live/CiCMWBvk-AM In a July 17th hearing, Judge Hippler lifted the non-dissemination (gag) order in the Bryan Kohberger case, emphasizing the public's right to information, especially since a plea has been entered. However, he clarified that the court's prior preservation order remains in place, and sealed documents are still sealed. The media's petition to unseal all documents was denied as premature. The judge stated that after sentencing, scheduled for July 23rd, the court will begin reviewing sealed materials to determine what can be unsealed, starting with the newest documents first. This process will allow counsel to object to unsealing specific documents or request redactions. He warned that this unsealing process will take a considerable amount of time, and public records requests for sealed documents will be denied until they are officially unsealed. The judge also addressed the right to appeal, noting that while Kohberger's plea agreement includes a waiver of appeal rights, the US Supreme Court's ruling in Garza v. Idaho indicates that a defendant's right to file the appeal. Therefore, the appellate process is expected to play out. The investigation into document leaks is ongoing. They are text messages between Murdaugh and Eddie Smith. This is in addition to the ongoing appeal of the murder conviction based on allegations that the clerk of court, Becky Hill, influenced the jury. This could mean that a new murder trial can occur. However, Murdaugh will remain in prison for decades due to his multiple financial crime convictions. The gag order has been lifted in the Bryan Kohberger case and his sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23rd. While he waived his right to appeal, he can still file one, though it is unlikely to change his predetermined four consecutive life sentences. Tom Girardi has reported to prison as of July 17th, 2025, despite his attempts to delay. Court documents indicate that his motion for bond pending appeal will be heard in September, but the attorneys agreed he would go into custody in the interim. Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers are divorcing. Denise has filed for and received a temporary restraining order, alleging physical violence. The LA County court system is currently down online and I will cover this more in-depth once all court documents are available RESOURCES Bryan Kohberger Stream July 10 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy9rHg9m4xk Alex Murdaugh Appeal - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HKNZBInEso First Girardi Stream - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn16T4ySkec The Emily Show July 14 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ysy5bvjKuac Alex Murdaugh Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsbUyvZas7gJUHo2XsVhGNBhaMdx9B_cq Learn more about your ad choices. 5 New Gag-Order Lifted Revelations In The Bryan Kohberger Case The silence is over. After nearly two years under a sweeping gag order, shocking new details in the Bryan Kohberger case are finally public—and they paint a disturbing picture of obsession, manipulation, and forensic precision. In this episode, we break down everything that's emerged since the gag order was lifted in July 2025. From Kohberger's eerie job interview with Pullman Police Chief Gary Jenkins, to revelations that his white Hyundai Elantra was almost dismissed as irrelevant due to a technicality—this is the full picture investigators couldn't talk about until now. You'll hear what was really found in his barren Pullman apartment (spoiler: almost nothing), how law enforcement overlooked critical car evidence, and what newly unsealed 911 call transcripts and roommate texts reveal about the horrific night of the murders. We also dive into The Idaho Four: An American Tragedy by James Patterson and Vicky Ward, which suggests Kohberger may have fixated on victim Madison Mogen after being rejected—offering one of the first public theories of motive. Plus: Kaylee Goncalves' parents are finally speaking out, still trying to learn how many times their daughter was stabbed. With Kohberger's sentencing approaching and new voices entering the conversation, the public finally gets access to the brutal reality behind the redacted headlines. Will the victim's family and the public get access to all the evidence in the Idaho4 murder case? This critical gag order hearing today could determine whether chilling details about Bryan Kohberger and the brutal murder of four young Idaho students are unsealed for the world to see. Welcome to Surviving the Survivor, the show that brings you the #BestGuests in all of #truecrime. As families and media await more insight into Bryan Kohberger's motive, a critical gag order hearing is set for July 17, 2025 to determine if pre-sentencing restrictions on discussing court details will be lifted. This hearing could unlock new revelations about his alleged online alias and shed light on digital evidence tied to the case. STS Host Joel Waldman will be watching it live along with #BestGuests who will provide analysis. Bryan Kohberger confessed to the horrific November 13, 2022 stabbings of four University of Idaho students and plead guilty on July 2, 2025, to avoid the death penalty. He will now face four consecutive life sentences plus ten years and has given up his right to appeal. Evidence against him included DNA on a recovered knife sheath, phone data, and surveillance footage. We remember the lives of the four victims senselessly murdered in Moscow, Idaho: Ethan Chapin: A 20- year-old from Conway, Washington who was staying with his girlfriend, Xana Kernodle, the night of the murder. Ethan was a triplet. Kaylee Goncalves: A 21-year-old from Rathdrum, Idaho who was murdered in her home next to her best friend, Maddie. Judge Steven Hippler issued an order lifting the gag order in the Bryan Kohberger case, stating that its original purpose—to protect Kohberger's right to a fair trial—was no longer valid following his guilty plea. With no jury trial forthcoming, the judge determined that the restrictions on speech could no longer be justified. He emphasized that lifting the gag order did not force any party to speak but simply restored their First Amendment right to do so if they chose. The order acknowledged the public's strong interest in transparency and access to information now that the criminal case had effectively moved past the trial phase.Despite objections from Kohberger's defense, who argued that media attention could influence the sentencing phase, the judge made clear that such publicity was inevitable regardless of the gag order's status. He dismissed the notion that continuing to silence participants would shield the process from public scrutiny. However, the judge declined to immediately unseal the more than 240 court filings that remain sealed in the case, saying he would review them individually after the upcoming sentencing hearing. The decision marks a shift toward greater openness in one of the most closely watched murder cases in recent memory.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Prosecutors reverse position on gag order after Kohberger murder confession | Fox News

Judge Drops Gag Order in Kohberger Case… What Now? #Kohberger #TrueCrime #CrimeTalk #GagOrder #FreeSpeech #IdahoMurders
A media coalition has asked the judge presiding over Bryan Kohberger's case to vacate the non-dissemination order that has prevented the parties from granting interviews and releasing records. Prosecutor Bill Thompson had asked that the gag order remain in place until Kohberger is sentenced but then changed course. Meanwhile, Kohberger's lawyers has asked that the order remain in place citing threats to her client and an ongoing investigation into a leak of evidence. Law&Crime's Angenette Levy goes through the hearing in this episode of Crime Fix — a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.PLEASE SUPPORT THE SHOW:Take your personal data back with Incogni! AP's Lisa Dwyer reports that a gag order was lifted in the Idaho students killed case.
Watch the full coverage of the live stream on The Emily D. Baker YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/live/Yy9rHg9m4xkBryan Kohberger has signed a factual basis admitting to the burglary and four murders, and a plea agreement for a fixed life sentence without parole or opportunity for reconsideration. This means a life sentence with no possibility of release. He has also waived his right to a fair trial, including the right to confront and cross-examine witnesses. Consequently, the media argues that the non-dissemination order should be lifted, as there is no longer a jury pool to taint or concerns about his right to a fair trial. The prosecution, however, objected to lifting the order. The court initially made a preliminary decision, stating it could be revisited if a reason emerged. The court also noted that no bond was set for the defendant. Bill Thompson emphasized the need for time to provide a full statement, which he claimed was difficult while preparing for sentencing. However, this was deemed not a legal justification, and the media has highlighted that "more time" is insufficient legal grounds to maintain a restrictive non-dissemination or gag order. As of July 10th, more docket entries haven't appeared since the order was filed on July 2nd. There's a possibility the court is backlogged and won't address it until July 23rd, at which point it would become moot and withdrawn.RESOURCESBryan Kohberger Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsbUyvZas7gKASBczV3CsUx-t5oRAK0caBryan Kohberger Change of Plea Hearing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdOt4zAWjp8This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Spotify Ad Analytics - https://www.spotify.com/us/legal/ad-analytics-privacy-policy/Podscribe - https://podscribe.com/privacy
In Case No. CR01-24-31665, a coalition of major news organizations—including ABC News, CNN, CBS News, the Associated Press, Fox News, and others—have filed a memorandum seeking to be heard as interested parties in the criminal proceedings against Bryan C. Kohberger, the defendant charged in connection with the Idaho student murders. The media companies are requesting that the court vacate the existing nondissemination (gag) order, arguing that it violates constitutional protections under the First Amendment and impedes the public's right to access court proceedings and related information. They assert that the order is overly broad, lacks sufficient justification, and unjustifiably restricts press freedom and transparency in a case of significant public interest. The media coalition contends that the gag order infringes upon their ability to report on the case and gather news, including statements from attorneys, law enforcement, and other official sources. They argue that the public has a compelling interest in understanding the judicial process, particularly in a high-profile case involving allegations of multiple homicides. The memorandum emphasizes that any restrictions on speech must be narrowly tailored and based on specific findings, which the current order allegedly lacks. As such, the organizations urge the court to lift the nondissemination order entirely or, at a minimum, modify it to comply with constitutional standards.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Microsoft Word - Media Coalition_Kohberger Sealed Records - Ada County - Memo ISO Motion to Vacate Gag Order_July 3(129532455.3)

Gag orders, also known as prior restraint orders, are restrictions on speech or the press that are imposed by the government or the courts. The constitutionality of gag orders depends on the specific circumstances of each case and the specific restrictions imposed. In general, the First Amendment of the US Constitution protects freedom of speech and of the press, and restrictions on speech are subject to strict scrutiny by the courts. However, under certain circumstances, the government may impose restrictions on speech in order to protect important interests, such as national security, the integrity of the judicial process, or the privacy rights of individuals. In such cases, the courts will balance the government's interests against the First Amendment rights of the speaker or the press. If the restrictions are deemed to be narrowly tailored and the least restrictive means of achieving the government's interest, they may be upheld as constitutional. However, if the restrictions are overly broad or unnecessarily restrictive, they may be struck down as unconstitutional. In this episode we get the decision from the supreme court who has ruled that the gag order will stay in place.(commercial at 7:22)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Idaho murders: Court denies request to lift gag order in case of Bryan Kohberger, man accused of killing 4 college students - CBS NewsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.
In the case of United States v. Sean Combs (24 Cr. 542), federal prosecutors have filed an opposition to the defense's motions requesting a hearing, a bill of particulars, and a gag order. The defense sought a hearing to investigate alleged government leaks of evidence, specifically a 2016 video purportedly showing Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Prosecutors refuted these claims, stating they did not possess the video prior to its public release and had no involvement in its dissemination. They argued that the defense's allegations are baseless and represent a strategic attempt to suppress critical evidence that is highly probative of Combs' alleged criminal conduct.Regarding the request for a bill of particulars, the defense sought detailed information about the charges to prepare for trial. Prosecutors contended that the indictment already provides sufficient detail, outlining the nature of the charges and the alleged criminal activities. They maintained that additional specifics are unnecessary and could compromise ongoing investigations or witness safety. Concerning the motion for a gag order to prevent public statements by potential witnesses and attorneys, prosecutors argued that existing court orders already address these concerns, rendering the defense's request redundant. They emphasized the importance of balancing the defendant's right to a fair trial with the public's right to information, asserting that current measures are adequate to maintain this balance.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:diddy.pdf

In case 24-cr-542 (AS), Judge Arun Subramanian issued an order addressing pretrial matters in the prosecution of Sean Combs. The order reaffirms the need to maintain the integrity of the trial process, particularly in light of media coverage and the high-profile nature of the case. Judge Subramanian emphasized that both parties must adhere strictly to court rules, ensuring that public statements and information sharing do not jeopardize the fairness of the proceedings. The order also outlines the implementation of specific measures, such as restricted access to certain documents and a potential gag order to limit public comments from attorneys and witnesses. Judge Subramanian notes that these measures are necessary to prevent undue influence on potential jurors and to maintain a balanced judicial process. Further hearings and motions related to this order are expected to be scheduled as the case progresses.(commercial at 8:10)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.628425.50.0.pdfBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
In United States v. Combs, case number 24-cr-542 (AS), Sean Combs has submitted a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian proposing specific language for a gag order in response to alleged leaks by the government. Combs argues that these leaks have involved confidential, damaging, and false information released to the media, which could prejudice his right to a fair trial. The defense believes a gag order is necessary to mitigate the impact of this information on the jury pool and to preserve the integrity of the judicial process. The proposed gag order, outlined in the attached Exhibit A, seeks to restrict public statements by both parties and limit the release of information related to the case. Combs' legal team contends that this measure is crucial to ensure a fair and unbiased trial, citing previous court discussions on October 10, 2024, regarding the need for such relief. They maintain that without these protections, the continued flow of leaked information could compromise the defendant's ability to receive a fair hearing.(commercial at 11:35)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.628425.50.0.pdfBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
Dateline just leaked explosive evidence in the Bryan Kohberger case—and now the defense claims someone else did it. With the trial coming up late summer... is justice unraveling before it even begins? #STSNation, Welcome to Surviving the Survivor — the podcast that brings you the #BestGuests in all of #TrueCrime, covering the cases that matter most. Tonight, we dive into the Bryan Kohberger legal earthquake. First, the Dateline NBC special aired surveillance footage, phone pings, and graphic search histories—all evidence that may have been under court seal. Now, Judge Steven Hippler says the court's gag order was “likely” violated, a special prosecutor may be appointed, and the entire case could be jeopardized. Then came another curveball: At a May 15 hearing, Kohberger's defense dropped a sealed motion suggesting “alternate perpetrators” may be to blame. The judge wasn't buying it—at least not yet. He's demanding actual evidence before deciding whether the theory will be admissible. Meanwhile, victim families are speaking out. Angela Navejas, mother of Madison Mogen's best friend, says the defense is weaponizing distraction while ignoring the pain of the victims' loved ones. The Goncalves family posted: “One step forward, two steps back.” Is this trial about to implode?⸻ #Support the show:All Things STS: Https://linktr.ee/stspodcastGet Joel's Book: Https://amzn.to/48GwbLxSupport the show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/SurvivingTheSurvivorCatch us live on YouTube: Surviving The Survivor: #BestGuests in True Crime - YouTubeVenmo Donations: @STSPodcast
