National Mental Health Week occurs once every two years and is part of the government's efforts to raise awareness around mental health, prejudices, and stigmas, but also disorders themselves and how to deal with them as a person, family or society. Throughout the week, there will be all kinds of workshops held around the country, with audiences ranging from kids to teens to adults, looking at the topic, at the body and mind balance, but also how covid impacted MH and how to identify and deal with it. Duncan Roberts joined Tom in the studio this morning for Delano's Top Of The Week. On the agenda for discussion was the appointment of Luxembourg's new American Ambassador Tom Barratt. Barratt comes to Luxembourg having served the longest Mayoral term in the USA's history as Mayor of Milwaukee. Taking office six months after the election of Joe Biden to the American Presidency, Barratt arrives with the continuation of the Artemis space programme, fostering connections between Luxembourgish start-ups and incubators in the USA, supporting NATO's operations here and promoting sustainability high on his list of priorities. He is the latest in a long list of interesting American Ambassadors to have been designated to officiate in Luxembourg, with James Hormel, the first ever openly gay American diplomat, and Perle Mesta, who was the subject of the musical 'Call Me Madam', amongst others preceding him. Deval Sanghavi speaks to Donald Lobo, one of India's most unassuming philanthropists.  Listen in as Lobo deftly steers the conversation away from the Rolling Stones article he was featured in, and as he talks about his giving philosophy and why he trusts organizations that are truly embedded in communities, what people think the terms impact and scale mean versus what they should mean, and why Lobo's hopeful about the Indian social sector.  (42:39) ” If you're doing something for the public good, why don't you give the public ownership of it? And I think this is where funders, foundations can play a big role in it. That's step one, right? But step one is really not going to get you anywhere. You can put your stuff out there, but if other people aren't willing to use it or willing to do research and figure out what's there, that's also a big part of the ecosystem and a big part of the problem." Donald Lobo moved to the US from Mumbai in the early 1990s to pursue computer science, and  found himself on Yahoo's founding team. He is also the co-founder and lead developer of CiviCRM, which was set up to give the social sector free and open software. Having always had a keen interest in civil society, Lobo always found time to volunteer alongside his work, and very early on he began thinking about investing more and more of his time and his resources in causes close to his heart. Investigating better ways to store data before official release.   * Do you handle pro-rated renewals? * Trials? * How are you guys dealing with role based permissions, and time limited access? * Are there different levels of membership? * Do you deal with CC details? * What other solutions did you guys look at before creating this one?     * Why not just use profile2/rules/civiCRM or other existing modules?   The big problem with Profile2 is that it only allows one user per profile. Some fields should be shared for all users that belong to a single membership.  Membership Entity includes rules integration. Membership Entity is 100% Drupal. No third party integration required.     ## Use Cases * Do you guys have any sites currently running the Membership Entity module? (David) - Joined the team after much of the development of the module was already done, so had the perspective of a developer on the outside, learning what the module provides and how to extend it. Being built around the Entity API made creating Views-based reports very simple, as most of the membership data that I needed to display was already exposed. For any that wasn’t, the extensible nature of the module (via things like all of the provided custom hooks) made the process of developing additional custom entities derived from membership meta-data rather straightforward. (Bryan) - Drop in solution for simple membership sites (CEMA). No custom code required. Membership process working in less than an hour. Integrated with Ubercart (Module coming soon).  

This week we have a look at how to pick a good Joomla extensions. This is a follow up to a blog post that was floating around stating that there was a module that could be downloaded from the Extension Directory that had hidden malicious code distributed with it.We also have an interview with Chris Ward who talks to us about CiviCRM and CRM systems in general.
