After moving to the Boise, Idaho suburb of Meridian to be closer to her brothers, and beginning nursing school, it seemed like she was living her life dream. After abruptly moving to Gillette, Wyoming, she seemed to change. After a WhatsApp call with her parents on 2/24, Irene has never been seen or heard from again. What happened? Where is she? Especially considering he made some sinister purchases at Walmart the day of her disappearance...Please listen, share, and raise this case's visibility as you can.We Saw The Devil will post updates to this case as it happens.Where is Irene (Official site made by her family): http://www.whereisirene.comhttp://www.wesawthedevil.com/-------CrimeLapse will be back soon, thank you for your patience.
Introducing: CrimeLapse! CrimeLapse is one of my favorite podcasts and I'm lucky to count Eileen, its host, as a dear friend. You may know her from her other podcast, The Shattered Window, an investigative true crime series uncovering the unsolved murder of Jaclyn Dowaliby, co-hosted with fellow Irishwoman, Morbidology's Emily Thompson. We Saw the Devil will publish a new episode later this evening! On this episode: Just before midnight on March 18th, 2018, deputies from the Hillsborough County sheriff's officer responded to a series of 911 calls from Pike Lake Drive, in Riverview, Florida.Moments after a woman had called pleading for help as she had been shot, another call had come from the house, the male caller told the dispatcher;“Hey, I just been attacked by some white demon…inside… Was inside. Episode 25 Georgi MarkovJoin Eileen from the CrimeLapse podcast as she discusses a case that is beyond bizarre – the death or Bulgarian playwright Georgi Markov. Markov, a Bulgarian dissident who had defected to England, was living in London and working for the BBC Bulgarian service. He also freelanced for Radio Free Europe, a western-centric broadcast news company that was critical of the government in his native Bulgaria. In September 1978 he was taken to a London hospital, where he died of blood poisoning. Before he died, Markov made sure doctors noted a small puncture mark on his thigh, which he said resulted when he was stabbed with the tip of an umbrella by a man he did not know. He came down with a fever within hours of the contact with the umbrella. And sure enough, a post-mortem revealed a metal pellet in his leg, believed to have been shot by a sophisticated gun. The tiny projectile was believed to contain ricin, and the attack on Markov was labeled a homicide. Who killed Georgi Markov? Be sure to follow Eileen and Crimelapse on social media-
On the night of November 5, 1989, first responders arrived at the 3700 block of Delor St in St Louis, Missouri. Inside of an apartment, next to two bloody knives, lay the body of 16-year-old Tina Isa. Tina's father said that he had killed her in self-defense. Police would learn Tina's father, Zein Isa, was a suspected ringleader of a Palestinian terrorist cell and had been under the watchful eye and ear of the FBI. The Isa's house had been bugged for some time and Tina's abuse and murder had been caught on tape. Two-year-old Laila Daniel and her four-year-old sister had not had an easy start in life. They were taken into care while their mother struggled to overcome her addiction issues. The Department of Family and Child Services placed them in the care of the Rosenbaums, a couple who Child Services said were stable and reliable and appeared to greatly love children, but appearances can be deceiving. As podcasters, we have a platform and duty to speak up and call out injustice. In light of the murder of George Floyd, we have come together in solidarity to use our platform to speak up against racial injustice and amplify the voices of black podcasters that deserve more recognition. Racism is prevalent in all industries; from the media who under-report on black victims to the justice system which routinely fails black victims. In this collaborative episode, we document black history and current events with the voices of those who have lived through it.
