Hey Midnighters,Episode 195 is here, and this one hits with pure drive from the very first kick. I built this week's journey around control, tension, and release, that feeling when the groove locks in and you forget everything else around you. Whether you tuned in on Wednesday at 6 AM CET or caught it later on DI.FM with 60,000 global listeners, you know this one was made to move.We open strong with Serioes, Legendaer, and Little Duracell's Take Control (Return Fall Extended Remix), setting the tone with a deep but commanding pulse. Patrick Scuro, The Post Brothers, and The Enveloper keep the pressure high with Oldschool, while Zafer Atabey's Unrest on EXTIMA brings that hypnotic tension I love to play with early in the set.Crossbow and GIULIA (IT) take us inward with Someone in the Mirror before YellowHeads unleash Monochrome Dreams in Peak Mode, a serious moment on the dancefloor. Then UMEK drops Kappa One… and you already know that means business.Mid-set, Salkantay's Cross The Line and Nicolas Hoop with BCT's Mental Focus push the groove into overdrive. Victor Ruiz and HNGT's A New Day on 1001 Recordings lifts the energy beautifully, and Layton Giordani with Camden Cox on Destiny adds that emotional edge that keeps things human inside the machine. The final stretch is where it gets special. Victor Ruiz and Moreira's Every Day Arcane flows into Liberthorn's Digital Dissociative, and then we flip it. L.A. Style's James Brown is Dead in UMEK's bootleg form is a nod to the roots, reimagined for now. Annie Hill closes Episode 195 with Legacy, and that title says it all. This show is about pushing forward while respecting where we came from. New names, established legends, exclusive heat, all in one uninterrupted ride.Midnighters, dive into the full tracklist and relive every transition here:
While the Church reported over 17.5 million members by the end of 2024, researchers and analysts—often relying on congregation counts, surveys, and academic analysis—frequently estimate the number of active, attending members to be significantly lower, sometimes suggesting it is closer to 4–5 million worldwide. This gap exists because the official figures include anyone with a baptismal record who has not formally resigned, meaning inactive members, or "jack-mormons," are counted until they turn 110 years old. Observers seeking the true, engaged population often ignore the total membership number entirely, focusing instead on the slower-growing, more telling metrics of ward and stake counts to gauge the actual growth or decline of the religion. In this solo episode, I open up about one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life, when I was deep in PCOS flare-ups, facing months of negative pregnancy tests and irregular cycles, and quietly questioning if I would ever become a mom. I share a pivotal moment at a friend's wedding that completely blindsided me and brought up intense jealousy, shame, and the painful feeling that I was “so far behind,” especially within an Orthodox Jewish community where marriage and babies can feel closely tied to your sense of progress and belonging.Listen in to hear me share:What infertility and PCOS flare-ups felt like emotionally and socially in a tight-knit communityThe identity and worthiness struggles that surfaced when motherhood felt out of reachHow opening up to the right person helped break the isolation and normalize my triggersThe coping tools that helped me survive that season, including distraction, intentional joy, and feeling proactive through medical and lifestyle changesWhy expanding your identity beyond “trying to get pregnant” is so crucial for your mental health+So much moreConnect with Lauren:Get my FREE PCOS Guide hereJoin the Empowered Path to Pregnancy hereInstagramWork With MeThank you so much for listening to the About Health and Hormones Podcast! Michael welcomes Nicole back to discuss her new book, "Help Wanted," focused on finding “human magic” in hiring—going beyond technical skills and surface-level values fit to build teams and cultures that can withstand challenges. Nicole, a culture architect and founder of Banana Pepper HR, argues hospitality is at risk of becoming transactional and has an opportunity to re-center belonging and human connection. They critique standard, rushed recruitment as soulless and misaligned with brand promises, emphasizing “hospitality begins in-house” and that recruitment is a brand's first act of hospitality. Nicole highlights “super skills” often dismissed as soft skills—empathy, kindness, curiosity, creativity, vulnerability, resilience, and more—and explains how missing them can lead to poor service, brand damage, and commercial loss. Practical ideas include slowing down hiring, doing stronger reference checks (including peer references), interviewing for stories by creating psychological safety, and using a three-course interview framework (appetizer/entrée/dessert). Nicole shares why she chose 10 super skills, drawing inspiration from Danny Meyer's “HQ” and behavioral science (including Brené Brown). The episode ends with where to find Nicole and the book at bananapepperhr.com/book (and retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Waterstones).Connect with Nicole:https://www.linkedin.com/in/nicoleantoniogadsdon/https://www.bananapepperhr.com/Book:https://www.bananapepperhr.com/bookhttps://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/help-wanted-the-rule-breaking-guide-to-hiring-an-extraordinary-team-of-hospitality-alchemists-nicole-antonio-gadsdon/1f7ae8fc32978cb1?ean=9781781339558&next=tConnect with the podcastJoin the Hospitality Mavericks newsletterTune in via your favourite podcast platform - here More episodes for you to check out here A big thank you to our episode sponsor Monotree. They help hospitality operators strengthen operations and scale company culture by creating a "Branded Front Door" for your workforce.Head to their website to sign up.This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy
Students at Morehouse College recently raised concerns over a newly unveiled painting of Joseph Smith to be displayed in the Martin Luther King International Chapel gallery on campus. The artwork, intended as part of an interfaith partnership highlighting individuals who champion racial equality, quickly became the center of a student-led pushback and dialogue about representation, historical memory, and institutional values. Some students questioned why Smith—founder The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—was selected for prominent display at a historically Black college, particularly given the LDS Church's racist past, restrictions on Black members holding the priesthood prior to 1978, and Smith's own views and writings. For most students, the issue was not merely about a single painting, but about the broader symbolism of honoring religious figures whose institutions and they themselves have complicated histories regarding race. Mormonish Podcast is joined by Alonzo Brinson, 40th President of the Martin Luther King International Chapel Assistants Program to discuss the developing situation at Morehouse College. This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy

We have a conversation with Lorie Kleiner Eckert, a skilled storyteller whose thirty years of experience are woven into her recent book, "Chai on Life." Lorie's perspective highlights that even when life is difficult, it's possible to move forward and flourish. Join us to discover how appreciating small experiences can help spur real personal growth and satisfaction. Takeaways:The stories of our lives, however small, often serve as a profound roadmap toward self-discovery and personal growth.Reinvention need not stem from crises; rather, it may arise from the simple yet courageous act of paying attention to our experiences.Recognizing and celebrating our small accomplishments can significantly foster self-acceptance and boost our self-esteem.Embracing the journey of life involves understanding that every step, no matter how minute, contributes to our overall progress and well-being.Find us on Apple, Spotify or your favorite listening platform; visit us on our YouTube channel Find everything "One More Thing" here: https://taplink.cc/beforeyougopodcastWant to be a guest on One More Thing Before You Go? Hey Midnighters,Episode 194 is live, and this week is a true showcase of the artists driving the culture forward right now. Every Wednesday at 6 AM we connect across time zones, and I am proud of the names featured in this one.We open with Adam Sellouk and Alex Kaspersky on Drumcode. Adam has been on a serious rise, appearing on major lineups worldwide and building a reputation that goes far beyond the studio. KASIA continues to establish herself as one of the strongest forces in the current wave of producers, and her collaboration with KAF3R reflects that growing international presence. Township Rebellion and Fab Massimo represent consistency at the highest level, with Township in particular remaining a staple across global festivals and clubs.Zafer Atabey is another artist to watch closely. His work on EXTIMA shows how fast new names are stepping into the spotlight. And then there is UMEK. A true pillar of the scene. Decades deep and still leading from the front. His influence on generations of producers is undeniable.Roddy Lima's connection with Drumcode continues to strengthen his profile, while MIRA MIRA, VE/RA, and Paula van Klar are part of a powerful new generation claiming their space. It is important to me that The Midnight Project gives that platform to rising artists alongside established names.Cherrymoon Trax and Thomas Schumacher represent history and legacy. Bringing that 1994 anthem back into rotation is about respect for where this culture began. Thomas has consistently remained relevant through evolution, and that longevity deserves recognition.Return Fall and Chris Mantanz are building momentum, Shuhandz, NYMESYS, and Nicole Chen show how collaboration fuels growth, and Marie Vaunt continues her unstoppable climb with major international recognition. Closing with Storm and Juliet Fox connects two strong artistic identities, and Juliet remains one of the most respected names on global lineups. This is what Episode 194 stands for. Established icons, rising talent, and artists who are shaping what we will be hearing in clubs worldwide.Make sure you explore the full playlist and support these artists here:

At a recent painting unveiling at Morehouse College, a provocative phrase caught everyone's attention when the dean of the college stated that Joseph Smith was “Lincoln before Lincoln.”What did that mean? Was it poetic praise, historical argument, or symbolic comparison? And the even bigger question, did Joseph Smith actually ever express or exhibit anti-slavery views? In this episode, Rebecca Bibliotheca is joined by Master Peace, Ron Yorgason as we explore the life and legacy of Joseph Smith, searching for the history behind the headline. Hey Midnighters,Welcome back to The Midnight Project. This week's episode kicks off a special run that's very close to my heart. Dark, driving, and locked into a deep late-night flow, this one is all about momentum and trust in the groove.I opened the show with "Ritmolicious," taken from a brand-new four-track EP that UMEK just sent me. This is the first track from that release, and I'll be featuring the remaining three cuts across the next three episodes of The Midnight Project. No rush, no shortcuts. Each track gets its own moment and its own space exactly where it belongs.Around that exclusive opener, the energy builds with powerful selections from Emmanuel Miro, Nikoretti, C-Poch, and Return Fall, followed by a timeless, remastered weapon from Monika Kruse and Voodooamt. The second half of the show keeps the pressure high with music from Rich Coote, German Carrizo, ZEREN, Nico Banfi with Techmo, CHANCEKNOT, YellowHeads, and Ali James, carrying us through to the closing moments. This is what The Midnight Project is about.Sharing new music directly from the artists, giving it room to breathe, and taking you along for the journey as it unfolds week by week. You can find the full tracklist and follow along with this EP series right here:

Does your life feel like a ship tossed on the ocean? Whether it's financial struggles, difficulty with a teenager, illness, or the ache of loneliness, we all face storms that we cannot control. In this heartfelt episode, talk about the reality of the "monsters" we face as solo moms and how to find true rest even when the winds are still raging.Drawing on biblical promises and personal experience, I explored the power of childlike trust and the peace that comes from surrendering control to a Father who is never afraid of the dark.In this episode, we discuss:The Nature of Storms: Why we feel like we are being tossed about by uncontrollable forces (work, parenting, internal unrest). The "Monster Under the Bed" Analogy: A story about little Samantha that illustrates how we can find sleep and peace by trusting someone bigger than us.Healing the Root: How unhealed trauma and anger can bleed into our parenting and relationships, and why indifference is not the same as healing.Jesus in the Boat: A reminder that even when God seems "asleep" in your situation, He is fully in control and capable of silencing the waves.A Shift in Mindset: moving from trying to control the uncontrollable to depending on your Omnipotent Father.Scripture References:Psalm 107:29 – "He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed."Isaiah 43:2 – "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you..."Resources Mentioned:Courage to Believe: The newly updated devotional by J. What transpires when the mission concludes, yet the battle persists? We engage in an insightful dialogue with Anthony Dyer, a distinguished Special Missions Aviator and the esteemed author of the memoir *Moon Child*, which encapsulates the harrowing realities of war, trauma, addiction, and the arduous journey toward recovery. Anthony's narrative, steeped in authenticity, elucidates the trials faced by veterans as they navigate the often treacherous terrain of identity and purpose post-service. Born in the Appalachian Mountains and molded by resilience, his experiences resonate deeply, illuminating the silent struggles that many endure in the aftermath of conflict. Together, we explore the complexities of healing and the imperative to confront one's inner demons, while underscoring the vital importance of seeking help and fostering connections with those who understand.Takeaways:Anthony Dyer's transformation from a Special Operations Aviator to an advocate for mental health signifies a profound journey of healing. In his memoir, 'Moon Child', Dyer candidly addresses the lingering effects of war trauma and the struggle with addiction. The transition from military life to civilian existence often presents unique challenges, particularly in redefining one's identity.Dyer emphasizes the importance of choice in overcoming adversity, advocating for a mindset of 'better over bitter'.Through his writing, Dyer seeks to illuminate the often-hidden struggles faced by veterans, offering insight and hope to those who may feel isolated. The episode underscores that healing is a continuous journey, not a linear process, requiring courage and vulnerability.Find us on Apple, Spotify or your favorite listening platform; visit us on our YouTube channel Find everything "One More Thing" here: https://taplink.cc/beforeyougopodcastWant to be a guest on One More Thing Before You Go? Midnighters, welcome back to The Midnight Project.Episode 192 focuses on momentum and pressure. From the very first kick, this one locks into that late-night drive where groove, acid, and raw techno energy collide. I've been digging deep for this episode, blending brand-new heat with timeless attitude, all designed for those moments when the outside world fades, and the music takes over. You'll hear a powerful opener from Adam Beyer, GENESI and Aye Anne setting the tone straight away, followed by a tight flow of tracks from Luca Marchese and Teenage Mutants and a massive remix from Marco Faraone on Factory 93. Chris Liebing brings that unmistakable CLR tension, while Gregor Tresher's Sleeping Giants gets a stunning Enrico Sangiuliano remix that really lifts the journey. There's also acid-fueled fire from Amber Broos, a futuristic edge from ADRIANNA, and a no-compromise closing statement with T78 and Mha Iri delivering exactly what the title promises. Every track in this episode has a reason to be here, tested, felt, and selected for that Midnight Project state of mind.As always, the full track list is available. Dive into it, save your favorites, and support the artists by checking the complete playlist here:

In this episode of Echoes Through Eternity, Dr. Jeffrey D. Skinner explores a troubling but often overlooked trend: while Gen Z men are returning to church, young women are quietly leaving. This is not loud rebellion. It is not rejection of Jesus. It is a slow erosion of belonging.Joined by Rev. Dr. Kim McLean, mentored by Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and others—pastor, songwriter, church planter, and longtime mentor of others—this conversation examines how shame-based formation, unequal leadership structures, purity culture, and unresolved trauma have shaped women's experiences in the church.Drawing on Barna research, lived pastoral stories, and a Wesleyan understanding of holiness as love perfected, this episode asks a deeper question: What happens when formation fails to produce freedom?Key themes include:• The growing gender gap in church attendance• Why women leave without abandoning faith• The impact of shame-based discipleship• Women in ministry and invisible ceilings• Purity culture and spiritual trauma• Why silence feels safer than staying• What faithful formation looks like nowThis episode is not an indictment. It is an invitation—to listen, to repent where needed, and to build churches where women are not merely welcomed, but needed.REFERENCED RESEARCH & THINKERSBarna Group• Gen Z attendance trends and gender gap research• Studies on church disengagement and trust in leadershipSurvey Center on American Life• Faith deconstruction and institutional trust• Gendered religious disengagementBeth Moore• Public departure from the Southern Baptist Convention• Reflections on women, authority, and ScriptureMildred Bangs Wynkoop• A Theology of Love• Holiness as relational restoration, not behavioral perfectionScriptural anchors used or referenced:• Galatians 3:28• John 4 (Woman at the Well)• Resurrection witness of Mary Magdalene• Ephesians 5 (mutual submission, not hierarchy)Takeaways:Gen Z women are experiencing a quiet exodus from church, indicating a deeper relational breakdown. This exodus is characterized by a lack of belonging rather than outright rejection of faith. The data reveals a significant gap in church attendance between young men and women.Church leadership must address the relational safety and equal treatment of women in ministry. Many young women feel unseen and confined to narrow roles within church communities. The shift observed among young women invites churches to reflect on their practices and priorities. This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacyOP3 - https://op3.dev/privacy

This episode delves into the profound journey of personal reinvention, exemplified by Emmanuel Laroche's transformative experiences in Madagascar. What began as a professional endeavor in the realm of food ingredients and marketing evolved into a deeper exploration of identity, creativity, and purpose, culminating in his new book, "A Taste of Madagascar." Through his travels, Emmanuel discovered the rich tapestry of human connection, tradition, and craftsmanship that inform culinary practices—elements often overshadowed by marketing metrics. He shares insights into the lives of farmers and artisans, revealing the intricate processes behind the ingredients that grace our kitchens. This discussion highlights the duality of professional life and creative expression, underscoring the importance of curiosity and engagement in understanding our world and the stories that shape us.Takeaways:Life transitions can emerge not solely from crises but also through unexpected experiences, such as discovering new flavors that challenge our perspectives.Traveling for professional purposes can transform into profound personal journeys that redefine our understanding of work and creativity. The journey to Madagascar revealed the intricate relationship between tradition, craftsmanship, and the human connections inherent in food production.Writing a book that intertwines culinary culture, anthropology, and personal stories can illuminate the often-overlooked voices of farmers and artisans in the global food narrative.Engaging with local communities while traveling enriches our understanding of the cultural significance behind the ingredients we often take for granted. It is imperative to remain curious and open-minded, as this curiosity fosters deeper connections with the people and places we encounter on our journeys.Find us on Apple, Spotify or your favorite listening platform; visit us on our YouTube channel Find everything "One More Thing" here: https://taplink.cc/beforeyougopodcastWant to be a guest on One More Thing Before You Go? Are lines between church and state blurring even further in today's social, cultural, and political climate? Mormonish Podcast is joined by Dan Hardy, Co President of the Freedom From Religion Foundation and Douglas Hendricks, President of the SLC Chapter of the FFRF, to discuss the topic of church v. state and all the nuance in between. According to the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the history of Western civilization shows us that most social and moral progress has been brought about by persons free from religion. In modern times the first to speak out for prison reform, for humane treatment of the mentally ill, for abolition of capital punishment, for women's right to vote, for death with dignity for the terminally ill, and for the right to choose contraception, sterilization and abortion have been freethinkers, just as they were the first to call for an end to slavery. The Foundation works as an umbrella for those who are free from religion and are committed to the cherished principle of separation of state and church. Isaac Hale, Emma Smith's father, was one of the very first people to observe Joseph Smith during the early Book of Mormon translation period. While Joseph and Emma lived in Hale's home in Harmony, Pennsylvania, Hale saw Joseph working long before any official witnesses were called. This gave him a rare inside view of the process while it was still private and unconfirmed. Hale later said Joseph was not reading from plates in a normal way but dictating with a stone placed in a hat, often without the plates present. To Hale, this looked suspicious, and he concluded Joseph was using folk-magic practices rather than translating ancient records. Because Hale saw this before the Three and Eight Witnesses gave their formal testimonies, he believed he had already seen the truth of what Joseph was doing. His account has remained important because it comes from someone who was there at the very beginning, watching the story unfold before it became public. So why doesn't it get more attention? Ganesh Cherian joins Mormonish to dive into the important and controversial witness account of Isaac Hale. This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy

My goal is to move this conversation away from shame and oversimplification and toward clarity, empowerment, and true metabolic health.Listen in to hear me share:The connection between BMI and fertility outcomes, and why this doesn't tell the whole storyWhat actually drives fertility challenges, including insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, and stressHow improving diet, lifestyle, movement, and nervous system regulation can support fertility without obsessing over the number on the scaleWhy weight loss may happen as a side effect of treating the root cause of your fertility challengesMy thoughts on GLP-1 medications and fertility, including when they may be helpful, their limitations, and why habits still matterHow to reframe fertility support around nourishment, metabolic health, and long-term well-being, and why that shift can be so powerful+ so much moreConnect with Lauren:Get my FREE PCOS Guide hereJoin the Empowered Path to Pregnancy hereInstagramWork With MeThank you so much for listening to the About Health and Hormones Podcast! Shame has a way of whispering lies that make us believe we're failing our children. As single moms, we carry burdens that feel too heavy. We wonder if we're enough, if our kids deserve better, or if other families are silently judging our choices. While working on the audiobook version of my Courage to Believe Christian Devotional, Day 7 struck me in a profound way. It addresses that crushing weight of shame we often bear as solo parents, and I knew I had to share this powerful message with you. When Shame Keeps Us IsolatedIn this episode, I share Eva's story. A mom who found herself avoiding other parents just to escape the feeling of being judged. Her experience reveals how shame thrives in isolation, convincing us that we're alone in our struggles. Whether it's the sting of a failed marriage, the pressure of not measuring up at work, or that quiet voice telling us we're not enough, shame tries to define our worth.Eva's story resonates with so many of us because it captures those painful moments when we can't afford the perfect birthday gift, when we see complete families at school events, when we convince ourselves our children deserve a life we can't provide. The Unexpected Surprise God OffersBut here's what I want you to understand: God doesn't see the labels the world tries to put on us, and He doesn't agree with them. The core message of day seven reveals how God offers an unexpected surprise by wiping our slate clean. This episode gives you a sneak peek into the audiobook experience, specifically focusing on how we can address the root cause of shame instead of letting it continue to burden us.What You'll Gain From This Episode:1. Recognition of how shame operates in isolation and affects our daily interactions2. Understanding that your struggles as a single mom are not unique. You're not alone3. Insight into God's perspective on your worth beyond worldly labels4. Hope for breaking free from the cycle of shame and self-doubt5. A glimpse into the transformative message of the full 21-day devotionalIf Eva's story resonates with you, this episode offers the first step in reclaiming your light so your children can see it shine.
