People of the Old Testament Found Disobeying God Leaves Us to the Consequences of Our Sins, but God Will Bless Us If We Obey Him MESSAGE SUMMARY: You may have been fortunate enough to have a Godly mother, father, siblings, and/or a spouse; but your relationship with God is only between you and God. God desires relationships with each of us, individually. God has given covenants upon which to build His relationship with you as Paul tells is in Romans 8:34-35: “Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?". The Prophet's death was impending, and he had commanded all his companions to join Usama ibn Zayd's army to go fight the Romans. Usama was a young man, and many companions chaffed at being put under the leadership of something that age. The prophet, while sick, had to rebuke them to send them back to the army.Despite his illness, the Prophet would still go lead prayer at the masjid. After the prayer he summoned some sahaba who were supposed to have left with Usama, including Abu Bakr and Umar asking "Why have you delayed obeying my order?" and heard back feeble answers in response. He scolded them, repeatning the instruction to join the army.Another day, the Prophet was too ill to lead salaat, and Aisha and Hafsa each suggested their fathers, Abu Bakr and Umar, lead the salaat instead. The Prophet realized those men were still in town and that these two women were eager to promote their own fathers. Hebrews 3 contains another warning about the consequences of disobeying God. The author warns the Hebrews not to disregard the sufficiency of Christ. This came from the generation of Israelites who left Egypt but never entered the Promised Land because of disbelief and disobedience. The Israelites disbelieved God, so they disobeyed God, forfeiting the promises of God! They had enough faith to get out of Egypt but not enough to get into the Promised Land. Because they had hard heads and hearts, they experienced the consequences of disobeying God. A rebellious heart is seen not only in animosity toward God but also in apathy toward God. Apathy leads to inaction, but faith is obedience in motion. Your belief in God is evidenced by obedience to God. Your words reflect what you believe. Rebellion brings death. Repentance brings life. Supporters of these incentives argue that they foster healthier lifestyles, whereas critics express concerns that they may serve as a facade for less-than-stellar coverage. These incentives have become a significant factor in the promotion of these plans. Despite the conclusion of the open enrollment period, beneficiaries have another opportunity from January 1st to March 31st to switch their plans. This discussion delves into the intricate web of insurance options available to seniors, cautioning them to stay focused on the essential aspects of their plans amidst the allure of these perks. It also tackles the issue of measuring the effectiveness of these incentives in enhancing health outcomes, a task which presents its own set of challenges. In 2023, more than half (51%) of eligible Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans, according to Kaiser Family Foundation. Furthermore, nearly a quarter of these plans offer financial assistance for food and produce, as reported by Axios. STORY 2: The air travel industry is facing a new challenge that's affecting even those who've paid for convenience. Travelers who've subscribed to Clear, an annual $189 private program designed to expedite airport security checks via biometric identity verification, are finding themselves in line behind members of the less expensive TSA Precheck program, which costs $78 for five years. A surge in enrollment for both programs, combined with the introduction of more time-consuming 3-D luggage scanning machines and overall staffing shortages at airports, has resulted in longer wait times. Unfortunately, this means that Clear, despite its advanced technology, can sometimes be slower than TSA Precheck. Travelers are now left navigating a complex choice about which security line to choose, making their airport experience less streamlined than they'd hoped. This latest challenge highlights the ongoing issues in the aviation industry as it grapples with adapting to new technologies, increasing passenger numbers, and managing operational logistics. STORY 3: In Georgia, even if a red light is taking too long to turn green, drivers must not run it. Disobeying this rule is considered a misdemeanor and can result in a fine. A maximum $70 fine applies if caught on camera, but fines can increase to $158 if pulled over without previous points on the license. Repeated violations can lead to a $1,000 fine and three points added to the license. If a traffic light is malfunctioning, it should be treated as a flashing red or yellow light, and drivers should proceed safely. A completely broken traffic light should be treated as a four-way stop. State officials are contemplating a rollback of staffing requirements, a move which has sparked apprehension among advocates for the elderly who worry about potential safety compromises. This comes after Rep. Sharon Cooper addressed neglect and abuse issues in 2020, leading to an increase in staffing levels. Yet, the Georgia Senior Living Association is now advocating for a relaxation of these requirements. The proposed changes include a reduction in staff numbers in memory care units, a move that critics argue could negatively affect the quality of care provided. It's a pivotal time for the senior care sector in Georgia, as these decisions could significantly impact the lives of those residing in these facilities. STORY 5: Air Travel Major alterations are on the horizon for Amazon Prime Video, starting January 29th. Brace yourself for the introduction of commercials during your beloved TV shows and films as Amazon Prime Video follows in the footsteps of other streaming platforms by offering different subscription levels. These incentives have become a significant factor in the promotion of these plans. Despite the conclusion of the open enrollment period, beneficiaries have another opportunity from January 1st to March 31st to switch their plans. This discussion delves into the intricate web of insurance options available to seniors, cautioning them to stay focused on the essential aspects of their plans amidst the allure of these perks. It also tackles the issue of measuring the effectiveness of these incentives in enhancing health outcomes, a task which presents its own set of challenges. In 2023, more than half (51%) of eligible Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans, according to Kaiser Family Foundation. Furthermore, nearly a quarter of these plans offer financial assistance for food and produce, as reported by Axios. STORY 2: The air travel industry is facing a new challenge that's affecting even those who've paid for convenience. Travelers who've subscribed to Clear, an annual $189 private program designed to expedite airport security checks via biometric identity verification, are finding themselves in line behind members of the less expensive TSA Precheck program, which costs $78 for five years. A surge in enrollment for both programs, combined with the introduction of more time-consuming 3-D luggage scanning machines and overall staffing shortages at airports, has resulted in longer wait times. Unfortunately, this means that Clear, despite its advanced technology, can sometimes be slower than TSA Precheck. Travelers are now left navigating a complex choice about which security line to choose, making their airport experience less streamlined than they'd hoped. This latest challenge highlights the ongoing issues in the aviation industry as it grapples with adapting to new technologies, increasing passenger numbers, and managing operational logistics. STORY 3: In Georgia, even if a red light is taking too long to turn green, drivers must not run it. Disobeying this rule is considered a misdemeanor and can result in a fine. A maximum $70 fine applies if caught on camera, but fines can increase to $158 if pulled over without previous points on the license. Repeated violations can lead to a $1,000 fine and three points added to the license. If a traffic light is malfunctioning, it should be treated as a flashing red or yellow light, and drivers should proceed safely. A completely broken traffic light should be treated as a four-way stop. 6. Disobeying the Government As the West moves increasingly further away from biblical truth and biblical morality, laws will be put into place that will attempt to stop the church from obeying God as directed in Scripture.    In fact, this is already happening. In 2021, the state of Victoria in my home country Australia passed the “Change or Suppression (Conversion) Practices Prohibition Bill” that makes praying for homosexuals and transgendered people so that they do not engage in homosexual behaviour or change/act like the opposite gender a criminal offense punishable of up to ten years in prison.[1] Even if a member of one's church approaches and asks the pastor to pray for them because they are having homosexual thoughts is illegal!    7. Rejecting Critical Theory and Neo Marxism (‘Social Justice' over Biblical Justice) Critical Theory has infiltrated the West through various movements and groups, such as Critical Law, modern feminism (third-wave feminism), and Black Lives Matter.  Critical Theory teaches that all white, heterosexual, male, Christians are by nature oppressors, and nothing can free them from the sin of their oppression.   8. Upholding Biblical Marriage Extreme detailed definition of marriage right down to the minutia = A man and a Woman who join together for a lifetime commitment in a covenant.    Biblical marriage and families are the bedrock of society. If the church does not uphold biblical marriage, then most relationships in the church will breakdown, causing harm and division within the church, resulting in the church stagnating and not fulfilling its purpose to bring believers to full maturity in Christ.      9. Valuing Children   Churches no longer encourage their married couples to have children.  Second, many married Christian couples in the West either do not want to have children at all (a reflection of Western culture) or only want to have one or two for selfish reasons.  Finally, many churches in the West put children out of the main church service and into Children/daycare Sunday school classes… and do not actually train their kids.    10. Upholding Biblical Gender and Gender Roles Here is another definition in great detail of the gender roles…. Male and Female    11. Preparing for Persecution The last challenge the Western church faces is persecution. I believe that as Western culture continues to turn its back on the biblical faith and biblical values and becomes increasingly hostile to biblical Christianity that persecution will arise. It won't just be the government (see point 6 above), but the populace will begin boycotting Christian business, companies will not want to hire Christians, companies will not want to do business with churches or Christians, Christians will be banned from social media sites, churches will be vandalized at a greater rate and to a greater degree, and Christians will be physically threatened and attacked.
