Stranded without a guest in beautiful Springfield, Illinois, Jonah is forced to record another Ruminant, and the result finds his mind drifting from place to place like a wayward spy balloon. After a brief foray into dirigible-based punditry, he quickly turns to protectionism and Biden's “Buy American” mantra, providing some extended thoughts on why both are so annoying. China expert and president of the Population Research Institute, Steven W. Mosher, joins us on the Code Red Podcast to do a deep-dive into China's threats to Asia and to the world. Mosher's 40-year tenure has led to him to appear many times before Congress to lend his expertise on China, world population and human rights abuses. Mosher was the first American social scientist to visit mainland China. In 1979, He was invited by Chinese officials to study population issues. While in China, he had access to classified government documents and witnessed the forced abortions of many Chinese women following the implementation of the “one-child policy.” This traumatic experience led Mosher to connect with the pro-life principles of Roman Catholicism, after spending much of his life as a pro-choice atheist. After exposing China's human right abuses, Mosher was denied his doctorate by Stanford University due to extreme pressure by both Chinese and American officials to punish him. Despite the threats, Mosher has continued on his quest for truth and his conviction to expose the threats of the most deadly regime in the world's history-- the Chinese Communist Party. In his book, Bully of Asia: Why China's Dream Is the New Threat to World Order, Mosher details the dangers of an empowered China as it seeks to accomplish its quest for dominion over all. We investigate the issues that threaten our sovereignty with in-depth analyses on how the decisions of our leaders impact America's safety. Today's Episode: Hear the powerful first-hand account of internationally-acclaimed China authority, Steven W. Mosher. Wendy and Toni are reviewing Eloisa James’s Fairy Tales series starting with “A Kiss at Midnight” and the novella “Storming the Castle!”We get pet dogs instead of cute rats in this re-telling of the classic fairy tale “Cinderella.” Instead of trying to get into a ball, Kate was trying to get out of one. Oh, we have a stepmother, but we only got the kinder stepsister with a twist. All Kate has to do is pretend in front of her future brother-in-law’s royal relatives for the benefit of her sister without falling in love with the already betrothed Prince Gabriel. The feelings turn out to be mutual, but circumstances allow for only a dalliance, or so they thought. With the help of family members, a wingless godmother for Kate, and faith, eventually Kate and Gabriel’s rainbow came shining through. Join the ladies as they discuss how to make our hearts wishes and dreams come true!Drawing Room Discussions –Reading the correct “Blood and Ash” series#KourtingKleypas: Someone to Watch Over MeEntrepreneur/Mentor Gary VeeSuperbowl Day drunkValentine’s Day flowers and pizza bagels"Official, unofficial book review” / Listicle – 13:25Featuring –A Kiss at MidnightStorming the Castle novellaFairy Tales serieswww.eloisajames.comwww.amazon.com/Eloisa-James/e/B001H6U948/www.bookbub.com/authors/eloisa-jameswww.facebook.com/eloisajameswww.goodreads.com/eloisajameswww.instagram.com/eloisajamesbooks“A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes”Walt Disney Music CompanySongwriters: Mack David, Al Hoffman, Jerry Livingston, David Pack"Pot-tail Pondering" – 39:15Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskeywww.properwhiskey.comwww.facebook.com/ProperWhiskeywww.instagram.com/ProperWhiskeywww.twitter.com/ProperWhiskeywww.youtube.com/properwhiskey“Storming the Castle” by Eloisa James“A Hunger Like No Other” by Kresley ColeAudible narrated by Robert Petkoffwww.kresleycole.comSarah MacLean’s “Bombshell: A Hell’s Belles Novel” cover revealwww.sarahmaclean.netEmail - litwallflowerspodcast@gmail.com Follow on www.instagram.com/litwallflowerspodcastShop at https://www.zazzle.com/store/lit_wallflowers/productsWebsite https://linktr.ee/litwallflowers

Alexander Lester, Graduate Student and Teaching Associate in the Department of Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University, joins me this week for the penultimate conversation of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season One. Together we discuss the Sid the Demon-Hunting Puppet series that could have (and maybe should have) spun out of 109, “The Puppet Show,” as well as just how perfectly sinister the introduction of Principal Snyder is. And 110, “Nightmares,” gives us some serious wiggins, but it’s not the killer clowns or forcible Chess Club recruitment practices that get to us — it’s the casual child abuse.   And what’s with all the Nazis in Season One?   Next: James South, editor of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Philosophy: Fear and Trembling in Sunnydale, joins me to take a look at episodes 111, “Out of Mind, Out of Sight” and the dramatic season finale, 112, “Prophecy Girl.”   THE BREAKDOWN Intro / Guest (00:00 - 7:14) Main Topic (7:14 - 1:14:25) Outro / Next (1:14:25 - 1:17:40)   THE LIBRARY Library Closed For Filing - Please Come Back Tomorrow   THE MUSIC “Conversations (feat.
