Send us a textNo matter what your feelings are on Disney, there's no denying it: the Mouse House is a complete entertainment juggernaut. Movies, TV, video games…you name it, they do it, and well. But there's one aspect of their entertainment empire that — despite being absolutely amazing — often gets overlooked. And that's the music. Disney films have been responsible for some of the catchiest, ear-wormiest, toe-tappin'est tunes in cinema history. And even a couple of grizzled, cynical old-timers like Saint and Jim have to admit as much. From the bouncy “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” to the calypso-flavored “Kiss the Girl” to more modern classics like “Let it Go,” Disney ditties slap just as hard as any Billboard chart-topper. So in this episode, the boys break down some of the biggest bangers of Disneydom.

Over half the fleet is projected to be shore power compatible by the end of 2022.On top of this, MSC Cruises' first hybrid LNG ship operating with the largest solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) ever installed will be launching later this year – MSC World Europa.By the end of 2022, 11 of MSC Cruises' 21 ships – including all the new ships built since 2017 – will be fitted with shore power capability. Existing ships are currently being or will be retrofitted in the future as their itineraries take them to ports where shore power will be available.MSC announces Seascape will be christened in NYC. New York City will serve as the glittering backdrop for an extraordinary inaugural event when MSC Cruises' newest flagship – MSC Seascape – comes into service later this year. The cruise line announced plans to hold the ship's Naming Ceremony at New York's centrally located Manhattan Cruise Terminal on Wednesday, 7 December 2022. The star-studded event will bring MSC Cruises' distinctive European style and glamour to the Big Apple and will be attended by local dignitaries, important partners, top travel advisors, media from around the world, celebrities and international artists. And of course, no Naming Ceremony would be complete without Academy Award-Winning star Sophia Loren carrying out her iconic role as godmother to her 18th MSC Cruises ship.MSC Seascape will offer two different 7-night itineraries from PortMiami:Eastern Caribbean: Calling at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Nassau in The Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Puerto Plata in the Dominican RepublicWestern Caribbean: Calling at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel in Mexico, George Town in the Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios in JamaicaEuropean Waterways' ‘Opera Cruise'European Waterways has a limited number of cabins available for the July 17, 2022 departure of the company's annual “Opera Cruise” in Venice. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! In honor of Maya's birthday, we are transforming this week's episode into another Disney battle between the animated Cinderella (1950) and its official live action remake (2015). While not our personal favorite princess movie from back in the day, we definitely still have some nostalgic memories associated with it. Not to mention with the multitude of spinoffs and modern adaptations that have come out since the original, it must be doing something right! As we compare and contrast these two films, we have to ask: is this beloved story a classic romance formula? Or are we totally sick of seeing it play out again and again? Let's find out together!
On this episode we're going way wayyyyy back. We're talking about one of the big 3. The Grand Dame of Disney princesses if you will, that's right folks, we're going in on the classic fairytale, Cinderella. Get Gus-Gus and hold on to your glass shoes because…... 0110 – Getting’ Lippy With It! Pucker Up For Some ‘Lip PT’VOCAL YOGA - Peter’s PT for the lips· Humming – yes something as easy and straightforward as this can help loosen your lips and free up your facial muscles ready for a voice session. · Lips trills – like humming this is an opportunity to wake up your resonators especially after a night’s sleep. Simply make a shiver-type noise that a child would as they push a toy car around (‘brrrrrrr’). You may need the power of quite a bit of air behind to get your lips trilling, and then see if you can swoop up and down with your notes.· Ask the question “Who’s he?” in an exaggerated way, putting the lips forward on OOO-sound and then stretching them into a Joker-type grin for the EEE-sound. Do this several times.· Remember the song “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” from the Disney film Cinderella?[1] Say the title three times quickly. Then add in some more sounds: Bibbidi Bobbidi Babbidi Bebbidi Boo – again three times. Then Bibbidi Bobbidi Babbidi Bebbidi Bubbidi Boo … [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJy8kdNNrvI ==Through these under-5-minute episodes, you can build your confidence and competence with advice on breathing and reading, inflection and projection, the roles played by better scripting and better sitting, mic techniques and voice care tips... with exercises and anecdotes from a career spent in TV and radio studios. And as themes develop over the weeks (that is, they are not random topics day-by-day), this is a free, course to help you GET A BETTER BROADCAST, PODCAST AND VIDEO VOICE.Look out for more details of the book during 2021.Contacts: https://linktr.ee/Peter_Stewart Peter has been around voice and audio all his working life and has trained hundreds of broadcasters in all styles of radio from pop music stations such as Capital FM and BBC Radio 1 to Heart FM, the classical music station BBC Radio 3 and regional BBC stations. For artist Ward Jenkins, what started out as just another job turned into a lot more than what he expected when he agreed to illustrate the book, “Tales of the Dairy Godmother.” What he found was a new appreciation for the ag industry, one that would have never happened if he hadn’t agreed to do the book. John catches up with him and discusses how the project changed his life. Also on the show, Jay speaks with Youtube star, Meredith Barnard about farmers' mental and behavioral health, which is often a focus of her content on her channel. Last but not least, Katie is talking with Jake Matthews, GFB's Governmental Affairs Specialist in the latest, "Behind the Bureau" segment. They discuss Jake's background and what he enjoys most about advocating for agriculture in Atlanta.

She dives into red flags, dating multiple people at once, how long you're really supposed to wait before having sex, and all the mistakes people make in dating. 10 years ago, I dubbed her the Fairy Godmother of Dating and that still holds true today...but she's a much cooler and updated 2.0 version of the fairy godmother wearing leather pants. #Episode #5 ICELANDIC 101: BIBBIDI-BOBBIDI-BOO Icelandic is just another Nordic language (like Swedish, Norwegian and Danish). But instead of moving into the modern era like its neighbors—with ABBA, minimalist design, open-faced sandwiches and all that—Iceland has a crazy death-grip on its ancient tongue. Sir Jo-Jo and Lady Lydz give us the lowdown on what it's like living in their personal, linguistic renaissance fair: masochistic grammar, survival phrases, the world's most entertaining phonebook and much more. THIS IS NOT SPONSORED CONTENT, Y'ALL. FER REAL. Just so you know, we are absolutely not getting paid for any of this. None of this is an advertisement or sponsored content or a "collaboration" (can you sense our collective eye roll?) with any companies or organizations or whatever other euphemism you have for getting paid to pretend something is your honest opinion. This is pure, unadulterated solid gold from our brainses. Enjoy. Wanna say thank you? Rate us and/or leave us a review. SHOW NOTES In this episode we mention a few resources. Go nuts with our Google Map (we made it just for you with ♥︎) Other links The Little Book of Icelandic - Alda has a whole series of "little" books, all of which are fun reads brimming with keen-eyed observations on various aspects of Iceland. This one focuses on the language. This book is absolutely not for language-learning (see below if that's that you want), but it is wildly entertaining if you want more quirky insights into the Icelandic language (and the people who speak it). Icelandic Online - Free online course in Icelandic put together by the awesome, amazing teachers in the Icelandic-as-a-Second-Language program at the University of Iceland.
