Altered State S3 Ep. 24: Letitia James Exposed, Harvard's Fall from Grace, and the Woke Hollywood Implosion

Zak “RedPill78” Paine and Brad Zerbo bring the fire in this jam-packed episode of Altered State, where no narrative is safe and no elite gets a free pass. They kick things off with a brutal takedown of New York AG Letitia James, diving into the criminal referrals now looming over her, including bank, wire, and mortgage fraud, perjury, and a possible illegal residency claim that could upend her entire case against Trump. The irony? She might go down for the same “crimes” she weaponized against him. The duo then pivots to Harvard, celebrating the Trump administration's plan to revoke its tax-exempt status and cut off billions in federal funding. With DEI propaganda, institutional arrogance, and open disdain for America dominating higher ed, Zak and Brad argue it's long overdue. From there, it's full-speed cultural warfare as they shred Disney's Snow White remake, roast Hollywood's collapse, and highlight the rise of independent, faith-based media like The Chosen. They touch on race narratives, broken education systems, AI deepfakes, Raven-Symoné's eerie Hollywood memories, and whether Bill Cosby and Michael Jackson were targeted for bucking the establishment. It's sharp, irreverent, and unapologetically America First.

Luis shares part of his family story before weaving rich voices and interviews to explore the use and meaning of the phrase People of Color, or POC. Many questions and facets are explored: Do we take on ideas to belong? Does the phrase POC other specific groups in a condescending way? What is the story, meaning, or belief we have about the label POC?  Does 'marginalized' mean oppressed? What are the somatics of group identity? How can we uncouple negative associations with the term POC? Lastly, what story do I tell about you, and does that story make you equal, lower or better than me?In the spirit of Maya Angelou, Marika reminds us to learn about people rather than learning to label them. May we be curious and allow people to show us who they are. After all, race is a fake construct, and identity is less connecting than place. You can watch the extended interviews clips here: Maya Angelou, Morgan Freeman, Raven-Symoné, and Africa Brooke. You can also listen to podcasts with Africa and Camille below: [Ep. 193] Getting Sober Helped Me Stop Self-Censoring w/ Africa Brooke[Ep. 219] Not Everything Is A Microaggression: Is This The New DEI? w/ Camille Leak----You can learn more on the website: https://www.holisticlifenavigation.com/You can follow Luis on Instagram @holistic.life.navigationQuestions? Raven-Symoné hosts The CW's upcoming original game show SCRABBLE. Symoné has been a household name and a fan favorite for most of her life. She commands an iconic Hollywood career as a multi-hyphenate actor, singer, producer, and director. Most recently she starred, executive produced, and directed the self-titled and critically acclaimed Disney Channel series, "Raven's Home," which ran for 6 seasons. This series was a welcomed return to the Disney family after her long run as a teenager on "That's So Raven," which marked the first time in the Disney Channel's history that a Black woman starred in a self-titled comedy series. At age 19, Symoné was named producer of the series, which won four NAACP Image Awards, two Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Children's Program, during its successful run. Symoné got her start in television 33 years ago, when audiences fell in love with her portrayal of Olivia on the Emmy Award-winning series "The Cosby Show" for which she received a Young Artist Award for Exceptional Performance by a Young Actress. She later won a starring role in the comedy series "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," which aired for 5 seasons. Raven became a pop sensation when she joined the live-action version of "The Cheetah Girls" movie, which was based on the books of the same name. She starred in both Disney Channel Original Movies "The Cheetah Girls" and "Cheetah Girls 2," and the group became a phenomenon. Her solo musical career has also spanned decades. She has released four studio albums, "Here's to New Dreams," "Undeniable," "This Is My Time," and "Raven-Symoné." Her talent and powerful vocal ability led her to Broadway, where she headlined the hit musical "Sister Act." While in New York, she also spent five seasons on the Emmy-winning ABC talk show "The View." In addition to her on-camera work, Symoné is a prolific director and has several projects in development under her production banner, I See Pictures, which focuses on creating powerful and meaningful stories about underrepresented communities and championing LGBTQ+ voices. Symoné lives in Los Angeles with her wife and producing partner, Miranda Pearman-Maday.The CW's upcoming original game show SCRABBLE, hosted by Emmy® award-winning fan favorite actor, singer, producer, and director Raven-Symoné, is a captivating, fast-paced take on the global board-game phenomenon. In each episode, wordsmiths battle it out by playing a series of addictive, word-based games to win points and add words to a giant SCRABBLE board in the center of the set. The first unauthorized look at the inner workings-and ultimate breakdown-of the Disney Channel machine. For many kids growing up in the 2000s, there was no cultural touchstone more powerful than Disney Channel, the most-watched cable channel in primetime at its peak. Today, it might best be known for introducing the world to talents like Hilary Duff, Raven-Symoné, Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and Zendaya. It wasn't always destined for greatness: when The Disney Channel launched in 1983, it was a forgotten stepchild within the Walt Disney Company, forever in the shadow of Disney's more profitable movies and theme parks. But after letting the stars of their Mickey Mouse Club revival-among them Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Ryan Gosling-slip through their fingers, Disney Channel reinvented itself as a powerhouse tween network. In the new millennium, it churned out billions of dollars in original content and triple-threat stars whose careers were almost entirely controlled by the corporation. Suddenly, everyone wanted a piece of the pie-and there were constant clashes between the studio, network, labels, and creatives as Disney Channel became a pressure cooker of perfection for its stars. From private feuds and on-set disasters, to fanfare that swept the nation and the realities of child stardom, culture journalist Ashley Spencer offers the inside story of the heyday of TV's House of Mouse, featuring hundreds of exclusive new interviews with former Disney executives, creatives, and celebrities to explore the highs, lows, and everything in between.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

Welcome back to Lez Hang Out, the podcast that wants to make your heart go boom, boom, supernova girl (gender neutral).  This week, Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out to talk about why the classic 1999 Disney Channel Original Movie, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, Should've Been Gay. This movie was queer MAJOR, and if you were a kid in the 90s like us, phrases like “Cetus lupeedus!” are most likely still living rent free in your head.  For those of you who have not seen Zenon, the story follows a 13 year old girl living on a space station in the year 2049 (which seemed a lot farther off in 1999). She is a chaotic baby gay from the second she shows up on screen and cannot help but get into constant trouble with her BF Nebula, played by the one and only Raven-Symoné. When she gets into a little too much trouble, she is exiled to Earth to live with her Aunt Judy and forced to trade her space stay gay life for a boring one with way too much gravity and nowhere near enough pleather. Between the space stay residents looking like they are perpetually at a gay nightclub, Proto Zoa's genderfluid frosted tips, the bisexual color scheme of space, Zenon's Earth boyfriend Greg's whole horse-girl dyke aesthetic, and Zenon and Nebula's totally lunarious love for one another, we are not sure how anyone ever thought this movie was for the str8s. We know one thing for sure, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century Should've Been Gay.  You can support Lez Hang Out while unlocking a bunch of awesome perks like access to our exclusive Discord, 22 and counting full-length bonus episodes, weekly ad-free episodes, and more by joining us on Patreon at bit.ly/lezpatreon. In this episode, Jenn and Daren delve into the significance of Black lesbian visibility during Pride Month. With a mix of humor and heartfelt reflection, they explore the resurgence of Black lesbian representation in media and society, emphasizing why it matters now more than ever. The episode kicks off with Jenn and Daren sharing their excitement for Pride celebrations. In the first segment, they discuss the current wave of Black lesbian visibility, highlighting notable figures like Tracy Chapman, Meshell Ndegeocello, and the cast of "Hoochie Daddies." They express their joy in seeing diverse representations of Black lesbians in media and the positive impact it has on the community. In the second segment, they contrast the experiences of white lesbians in entertainment, such as Ellen DeGeneres and Kristen Stewart, with those of Black lesbians like Raven Symoné and Lena Waithe. They discuss the unique challenges Black lesbians face and the systemic barriers that hinder their visibility and success. The episode concludes with a reflection on the importance of Pride Month, especially in the current socio-political climate. Jenn and Daren emphasize the roots of Pride as a rebellion led by Black and brown queer and trans individuals and the need to honor that legacy by continuing to fight for visibility and rights.
