Welcome to our new mini podcast entitled “Jumpin’ Ahead“, where Colton jumps ahead of where Life Lessons is in the manga to discuss significant story arcs that aren’t officially translated by Viz with Jon (LeitungVG), who has just seen these arcs for the first time!On this episode, we discuss Episodes 253 to 256 of the anime (Chapters 372 to 380), aka the Kintama arc. This week Joey the Anime Man and AkiDearest delve deep into cosplay, even though Joey is pretty new to it. Joey talks about his first (and only) experience cosplaying, as Gintoki. What he finds hardest about cosplay is being hot and sweaty in a costume and wig. There are toxic people who take cosplaying too seriously and nitpick other costumes, both online and at conventions. The duo let us in on their predictions for the top three cosplay characters at upcoming anime expos. Who should Joey and Aki dress up as for the anime expo next month?

Crunchyroll recently released a new dub for the third season of Gintama, one of the few recently produced in Vancouver, BC. Michael Daingerfield, the voice of Gintoki, stops by to talk about his work. Patrick also joins me to dig into the new dub.

On this special kind of/sort of/not really episode of Life Lessons, Colton and CJ Hitchcock join past guest, Josh Dunham, for an episode of his podcast, Senpai Coast to Coast, to talk about J-Stars Victory Plus. Its finally here! Our first year anniversary podcast is finally here and we have a full crew! Gintoki, Shinpachi, two samurai,  and Kagura, one of the last survivors of an alien warrior race, try to make ends meet any way they can in this adventure comedy that suffers from a bad translation and too much self-awareness.
