Cette semaine, Manga Hakken vous emmène à Konoha, le village ninja caché des feuilles. Entourés d'une équipe de passionnés et de véritables experts en ninjutsu (ou presque !), nous avons débattu d'une question qui intrigue de nombreux fans : en 2025, peut-on encore lire et apprécier Naruto, le shonen nekketsu qui a marqué toute une génération dans les années 2000 ? Naruto : un héros rejeté mais déterminéCréé par Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto raconte l'histoire d'un jeune orphelin rejeté par son village. Sans le savoir, il porte en lui Kyûbi, le démon renard à neuf queues. Cette entité responsable du massacre ayant coûté la vie à de nombreux habitants de Konoha. Malgré cette lourde charge, Naruto Uzumaki nourrit un rêve simple mais puissant : devenir Hokage, le chef du village, afin que chacun reconnaisse enfin sa vraie valeur.Cette histoire, mélange d'action intense, d'humour, de drame et de camaraderie, a fait de Naruto un des piliers du Weekly Shōnen Jump, le plus célèbre magazine de prépublication de mangas. Le Big Three et l'héritage des années 2000Dans les années 2000, Naruto rejoint One Piece et Bleach dans ce qu'on appelle le Big Three, le trio de shonen les plus populaires au monde. Avec ses 72 tomes, ses 720 épisodes d'animé (220 pour la première série, 500 pour Shippuden) et 10 films au compteur, la série a marqué toute une génération d'otakus. Elle a aussi influencé de nombreux auteurs et œuvres ultérieures, posant des codes narratifs encore repris aujourd'hui dans les mangas et les animés d'action. Naruto en 2025 : toujours incontournable ?Cela fait maintenant plus de 10 ans que le manga s'est terminé (novembre 2014 au Japon), et pourtant, Naruto reste omniprésent dans la culture pop. Les plateformes de streaming continuent de diffuser l'intégralité de l'animé, les produits dérivés se vendent toujours, et les conventions regorgent de cosplays de Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi ou encore Itachi. Mais la vraie question est : est-ce qu'un nouveau lecteur ou spectateur de 2025, habitué aux rythmes plus courts et aux séries plus modernes, peut encore apprécier Naruto dans son intégralité ? Ce que nous en pensons dans Manga HakkenDans cet épisode, nous revenons sur les qualités qui font de Naruto une œuvre toujours pertinente : Des personnages attachants et évolutifs Un univers riche, mêlant traditions ninja et créativité manga Des combats épiques et des arcs narratifs marquants Des thématiques universelles comme l'amitié, la persévérance et la reconnaissanceMais nous avons aussi beaucoup débattu de ses nombreuses faiblesses. La fin de Naruto est souvent jugée comme tirant en longueur, avec un rythme étiré qui dilue l'impact émotionnel. Le modèle éditorial du Weekly Shōnen Jump, où les éditeurs et les lecteurs influencent fortement la direction de l'histoire, a parfois contraint Masashi Kishimoto à modifier ou rallonger certains arcs au détriment de sa vision initiale.Nous avons également pointé plusieurs incohérences dans l'univers et des éléments mal expliqués ou pas assez développés. Il s'agit du projet le plus ambitieux du Youtube français. Avec des productions de plus en plus grandes et des budgets qui ne cessent de s'agrandir, on dirait bien que les youtubeurs ne se mettent plus de limites. C'est très exactement ça, l'esprit shonen. Inoxtag en donne sa définition sur la chaîne Twitch du journaliste Samuel Etienne : “c'est dépasser ses limites, c'est quand tout paraît impossible mais que tu es sûr de toi et que, en fait, tu arrives à réaliser ces choses impossibles. C'est ce qu'on voit dans les mangas comme Naruto ou One Piece.” Et si cette volonté de déplacer des montagnes peut s'avérer positive, l'esprit shonen cache en réalité une série de comportements toxiques pour soi et pour les autres.
