Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 1 Father, you raised up your children, only to have us rebel against you. We didn't understand. Our guilt was great. We were given to corruption. We forsook you, Father, spurned you and turned our backs on you.  My whole head was injured, and my whole heart afflicted. From the soles of my feet to the top of my head, there was no soundness, only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with olive oil.  Father, before my eyes, I have seen my country in flames, cities laid waste, strangers trying to overthrow us.  But there is still a remnant, Father, some survivors in a shelter of a city under siege.  I listen to your Word and to your instructions. I know that the only sacrifice that has any meaning to you, is a living sacrifice.  I will not bring you meaningless offerings, or incense, or observe feasts established on empty religious tradition. I know they have become a burden to you, one that you are weary of bearing.  I spread out my hands in prayer, Father. I know that you see me. I know that you hear me. I have washed myself with your word and made myself clean. I have repented from my wicked ways and stopped doing wrong.  I do right and seek justice. I defend the oppressed. I take up the cause of the fatherless and plead the case of the widow. You have settled the matter, Father. My sins were like scarlet, but you have washed them until they are white as snow. Though they were red as crimson, you have made them like wool.  I am willing and obedient, Father, and you have given me good things to feast on.  You vent your wrath on your foes, and avenge yourself on your enemies. Father, purge away my dross and remove all my impurities. Restore godly leaders as in the days of old. Let us once again be called a Godly Nation, righteous and faithful. So be it.  Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.  ----- Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/dan-barracuda/as-you-continue License code: 5ASP96SDTKAXZDZD

“THE QUICKENING TEMPLE OF GOD” I)INTRODUCTION:   A History God Created Mankind In order to Have A Relationship with Him          A.)Ge. 1:26,27   “Let Us make man in OUR IMAGE, After OUR LIKENESS”(Ge. 2:7-9, 2:15-23, 3:8)  ……. After the Fall OLD COVENANT of VISITATION B.) Ge.5:23-24 “ And Enoch WAS  NOT”..Heb.11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. C.) Genesis 6:7-9 BUT Noah found GRACE in the Eyes of the Lord D.) Genesis 12:1-9 Abraham receives The Promise of a  Godly Nation from his lineage Genesis 22:15:18 ..vs.18In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”…Relationship established with the Patriarchs via Abrahamic covenant & offerings Psalm 139:1-18 1 O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.2 You know my downsitting and my uprising; You understand my thought afar off.3 You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are acquainted with all my ways.4 For there is not a word in my tongue [still unuttered], but, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.5 You have beset me and shut me in—behind and before, and You have laid Your hand upon me.6 Your [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high above me, I cannot reach it.7 Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence?8 If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol (the place of the dead), behold, You are there.9 If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,10 Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me,12 Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.13 For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb.14 I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery].16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.17 How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!18 If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You.   II.)A House For God A.)Exodus 3:12…”Ye shall SERVE (Worship) God upon this Mountain B.) Exodus 25:1-8 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an [a]offering. I Chron.22:5 -105 Now David said, “Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all countries. I will now make preparation for it.” So David made abundant preparations before his death. 6 Then he called for his son Solomon, and [a]charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel. 7 And David said to Solomon: “My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the Lord my God; 8 but the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight. 9 Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be [b]Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. 10 He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.' Personal HABITATION “In Spirit”….Jn. 4:24) 1.)John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. 2.) John 15:26 26 “But when the [a]Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 3.) Jn. 16:13 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 4.) Somenone has said that if Christians really understood the power we have available to us through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know that during World War II there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day at the prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace! There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America, We are Journeys of Faith are part of this movement. If you would like to participate:Every evening at 8PM Central time, stop what you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States of America, our troops, our citizens, our leaders, and for a return to a Godly Nation. If you have a smart phone - set an alarm to pray one minute starting at 8PM Central time. Please pass this along to your prayerful family and friends. Our Prayers are the most important asset we have. For too long Israel was in chaos without Godly Leadership. Mercifully, however, from time to time, God sent Judges to restore them in Covenant fellowship. But after the judge was dead, Israel returned to their autonomous ways doing only that which was right in their own eyes.--Israel needed strong Godly leadership. They needed a God fearing king that would follow God's law, and His standards for a Godly Nation. --This final sermon in the series on Conquest, Compromise, Judgment and Restoration, an exposition on the Book of the Judges, explores just what it means to have strong covenant leadership in order to maintain a God Glorifying culture.

A much-maligned minority throughout American history, atheists have been cast as a threat to the nation’s moral fabric, barred from holding public office, and branded as irreligious misfits in a nation chosen by God. Yet, village atheists—as these godless freethinkers came to be known by the close of the nineteenth century—were also hailed for their gutsy dissent from stultifying pieties and for posing a necessary secularist challenge to majoritarian entanglements of church and state. In Village Atheists: How America’s Unbelievers Made Their Way in a Godly Nation (Princeton University Press, 2016),  Professor Leigh Eric Schmidt explores the complex cultural terrain that unbelievers have long had to navigate in their fight to secure equal rights and liberties in American public life. Examining the multilayered world of social exclusion, legal jeopardy, yet also civic acceptance in which American atheists and secularists lived, Schmidt shows how it was only in the middle decades of the twentieth century that nonbelievers attained a measure of legal vindication, yet even then they have often found themselves marginalized on the edges of a God-trusting, Bible-believing nation. Professor Leigh Eric Schmidt is the Edward C. Mallinckrodt Distinguished University Professor in the Humanities at Washington University in St. Louis and joined the John C. Are you familiar with the New Atheists? The late Christopher Hitchens wrote biting books about religion as “poison,” Richard Dawkins champions a sort of scientism as a replacement for faith, and people like Bill Maher spend time each evening poking fun at the pious. Despite their unofficial “New Atheist” title, they're perhaps not actually all that new. Award-winning historian Leigh Eric Schmidt sees them as ancestors of village atheists of days gone by. Atheists in American history have often been at the forefront of debates about the necessity of religion for healthy social life. They've fought legal battles over free speech and minority rights. In this episode, you'll hear Schmidt tell the stories of four controversial folks who called themselves freethinkers—stories of integrity and courage, humor and hypocrisy. We're talking about Leigh Eric Schmidt's new book Village Atheists: How America's Unbelievers Made Their Way in a Godly Nation. About the Guest Leigh Eric Schmidt is the Edward C. Mallinckrodt Distinguished University Professor at the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics at Washington University in St. Louis. He is author of the highly acclaimed book Hearing Things: Religion, Illusion, and the American Enlightenment, among other titles. Today the United States is the most secular and irreligious it has ever been. According to  Pew Research, the percentage of Americans who identify as atheist, agnostic, or having no religion in particular is up to 23%, compared to the 16% it was in 2007. With a lack of religious affiliation becoming normalized, it’s hard to imagine what it was like for the nonreligious when God’s primacy was almost entirely unquestioned.    Point of Inquiry welcomes Leigh Eric Schmidt, a professor at Washington University in St. Louis and author of the new book, Village Atheists: How America’s Unbelievers Made Their Way in a Godly Nation. Schmidt gives a detailed account of what it was like to be secular in a society where God was considered to be the sole source of all morality. While some worked to prove that God was not essential to being a moral, upstanding citizen, others were more concerned with reforming the way the church affected public life. Schmidt explains that in the 1850’s, “liberal” was used interchangeably with “atheist.” While some atheists felt it was important to blend in with the rest of God-abiding society, others felt their views on everything — from marriage reform and gender equality to civil rights and free speech — were in direct conflict with the church, and they challenged its claims to moral authority.
