Paul Craig Roberts (born April 3, 1939) is an American economist and author. He formerly held a sub-cabinet office in the United States federal government as well as teaching positions at several U.S. universities. He is a promoter of supply-side economics and an opponent of recent U.S. foreign policy. Roberts received a doctorate from the University of Virginia where he studied under G. Warren Nutter. He worked as an analyst and adviser at the United States Congress where he was credited as the primary author of the original draft of the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981. He was the United States Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy under President Ronald Reagan and – after leaving government – held the William E. Simon chair in economics at the Center for Strategic and International Studies for ten years and served on several corporate boards. A former associate editor at The Wall Street Journal, his articles have also appeared in The New York Times and Harper's, and he is the author of more than a dozen books and a number of peer-reviewed papers. Since retiring, he has been accused of antisemitism and conspiracy theorizing by the Anti-Defamation League, Southern Poverty Law Center, and others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subscribe To Our YouTube Channel Click Here: http://bit.ly/3kiuOPi Never Miss A Video! Christmas Party Just as we are hurtling toward the end of 2021, we are coming to the end of Series 2 of the Womenkind collective Podcast. And we are celebrating this with a Christmas Party and you are all invited- So get your party poppers, your Christmas hats, your favourite tipple, or tea, and have no HOGO worries because for this party we are staying In-In, so slippers are not only welcome- they are a necessity! We have two guests from the Collective that have supported us on our journey, Annie from The Bees Wreath and Mumford and Mum and Laura Dentith an avid fan of the Book Collective. You can catch the full unedited version of the party on the Womenkind Collective YouTube Channel. (All Covid restrictions were followed at the time of recording) We are so fortunate that many of our amazing guests and listeners have sent Christmas messages for the Collective which we play throughout, in-between the drinking and eating! At our Christmas party we bring out our favourite wine and non-alcoholic drinks, and there's a super espresso martini from Jinty. Our foodie Collective is a mix of homemade vegan mince pies, vegan chocolate truffles from Jamie Oliver, along with a super healthy green salad from Emma Ellice-Flint. We discuss the highlights of the past 2 series and reveal our most listened to podcast. In the Book Collective we go back over the books we have read and the books we have mentioned and used for research, and there's definitely some you might want to add to your Christmas list or to consider for the New-Year. How are you getting on with our high-fiving WI? Who's adding the extras in? Jinty also has a WI - a suggestion for a better night's sleep over the Christmas period. We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for listening and any contributions you've made, we really could not do it without you. Wishing you all a peaceful and healthy Christmas and love and laughter for 2022. See you for Series 3, 9th January 2022.
