I am sharing some of the most impactful advice I've implemented in my own massage career — insights that didn't require another certification, workshop, or degree, but did require some Radical Massage Therapists sharing their journey on the podcast.Drawing from conversations with past podcast guests, I'm exploring how the treatment environment influences client outcomes, how massage therapists can create their own paid time off, why syncing your schedule with your menstrual cycle matters, how clear cancellation policies protect your nervous system, and what it looks like to hold compassionate boundaries in emotionally heavy work like palliative care. This episode is an invitation to stop waiting for permission and start shaping a massage career that supports your health, finances, and life outside the treatment room.

How to Book Dream Podcast Guests Without Being Salesy | Jason Bradwell, Founder of B2B Better and Host of Pipe Dream Podcast

Want to book amazing podcast guests that actually match your ICP? In this solo episode of Pipe Dream, host Jason Bradwell shares his playbook for finding and booking ideal guests without turning the interview into a thinly veiled sales pitch. Jason starts with the elephant in the room: yes, you can invite guests who are also potential customers, but you cannot Trojan horse them. If you bring someone on the show and pitch them live, you create a bad experience for the guest, your audience, and your reputation. The rule is simple: content-first, always. Focus on a great conversation and a genuine value exchange, then let the relationship deepen naturally over time. Next, he breaks down where to find great guests. First: your immediate network. Start with executives, employees, customers, partners, and trusted connections, people who already know you and will say yes faster. Those first few episodes build credibility and social proof, which makes outreach to strangers dramatically easier. Second: your CRM. Jason recommends targeting lapsed prospects accounts you haven't engaged with in weeks or months and using the podcast as a re-engagement mechanism. If you run an ABM strategy, this is especially powerful: you can target high-fit accounts, invite the right people, and start meaningful conversations without a sales agenda. From there, Jason walks through prospecting tools. LinkedIn Sales Navigator helps with demographic and firmographic targeting, and tools like Apollo and Clay can help you build precise guest lists at scale. But the sleeper channels are Slack communities and conference speaker lists. In industry-specific Slack groups, people don't ignore direct notifications the way they do email or LinkedIn DMs. Jason notes content-first outreach can reach 60–70% response rates in the right communities. And conference speakers are already primed to share expertise, so their speaking topic becomes an easy hook to start the conversation. Once you've built your target list, Jason outlines a two-step outreach sequence. Message one is intentionally short: introduce the show, explain why you're reaching out to them, and ask if they'd like more details, no episode pitch, no long explanation. Message two comes after they've shown interest: reinforce why it's worth their time (downloads, guest lineup, maybe even payment) and share a personalised episode angle based on their experience, proving it's a real content opportunity, not random outreach. 00:00 - Introduction: Finding and booking dream guests 01:00 - The Trojan horse trap: content-first always 02:30 - Where to find guests: start with your network 04:00 - Mining your CRM for lapsed prospects 05:30 - Using LinkedIn, Apollo, and Clay for targeting 07:00 - Sleeper channels: Slack communities and speaker lists 09:00 - The two-message outreach sequence 11:30 - Message one: gauge interest only 12:30 - Message two: personalise and reinforce value 14:00 - How to get 60-70% response rates Connect with Jason Bradwell on LinkedIn Check out several tools in building guest lists: HubSpot CRM Clay Apollo Explore B2B Better website and the Pipe Dream podcast

On today's episode, I dig into my thought process as I consider launching a new podcast—and I walk through the essential questions I ask anyone who's thinking about starting one. If you've already got a podcast, these questions might help you rethink your approach. Why am I starting this podcast? I share my background as a teacher and my desire to fight back against spammy guest pitches. I want to educate PR agencies and help fellow podcasters feel less alone in the sea of spam.Who is this podcast for? This show is for two groups: PR agencies (so they can do their job better) and podcasters (so they know they're not alone and can improve how they handle pitches). How will I measure success? Instead of downloads, I'll measure success by how many people utilize resources I share, like PodMatch and PodcastGuests.com. I'll also keep tabs on affiliate signups. What are the hurdles?I reflect on a previous project, Dates from Hell, which struggled because it required audience participation but didn't yet have an audience. For this new podcast, I'll need a steady supply of good (and bad) pitches from listeners. Is this a passion project, hobby, or business? This is mostly a passion project and a hobby, driven by my desire to make a difference and maybe have some fun. If I can monetize it, that's a nice bonus. Why will my audience listen?Listeners will tune in to hear entertainingly bad pitches, learn how to make their own pitches better, and find solidarity in their struggles with guest booking spam. Plus, I'll offer educational insights that no one else seems to be sharing right now.How long will it take to make an episode?I estimate each episode will take around half an hour to produce, keeping things doable alongside my other commitments. You measure your production time and then choose your schedule.Do I have time and resources to make this happen? I've already got hosting, gear, and a plan for the website (PitchAPodcast.com). The biggest challenge will be getting enough listener participation to keep the show going.Key Takeaway I'm considering a crowd-generated podcast to tackle the problem of bad guest pitches. If you'd like to participate, send me your stories of bad (or good!) pitches, info about your podcast and website, and details on your ideal guest.I run through all the big questions to ask before launching, sharing my honest answers and experiences.Links MentionedPitchapodcast.comschoolofpodcasting.compodcastingobservations.comCaptive Media HostingBuzzsprout Media HostingPodMatch

Send us a textPredicting the future of podcasting is easy when you chase hype; it's harder—and more useful—when you follow results. We dive into what 2026 will actually reward: clearer voices, sharper strategy, and communities that turn listeners into collaborators. After a year of industry correction, the signal is obvious—authority beats volume, and intention beats noise. We start by reframing technology's role. AI adoption is up, workflows are faster, and the toolset is richer, but tools don't make taste. You'll hear why strategy still sits in the driver's seat, how to use AI for frameworks and speed without losing your voice, and where preparedness separates great hosts from the pack. Then we get specific about hosting craft: better questions, tighter arcs, relevant takeaways, and a stronger respect for your audience's time. Flashy is out; intentional is in.Next, we unpack guesting as a business strategy. It's not about how many shows you visit; it's about alignment, outcomes, and credibility transfer. We share a simple playbook for choosing the right rooms, turning appearances into real opportunities, and tracking what matters beyond downloads. From there, we zoom into community-led formats—public reach supported by private depth—where live sessions, co-created segments, and member feedback fuel rapid iteration and long-term loyalty. We also preview the maturing metrics landscape and why podcast success will pivot from loudest to clearest. Expect smarter attribution, better cohort insights, and language that reflects relationships, not just raw counts. Send us a textTrust just outperformed reach, and the ripple effects across podcasting were impossible to ignore. We step back from the noise and share a clear-eyed look at how 2025 reshaped the medium: ad dollars didn't vanish, they got picky; sloppy, reactive launches faded; and intentional, voice-led shows built momentum by earning credibility one conversation at a time.We walk through the economic realities that forced sharper strategy, showing why advertisers concentrated spend on proven hosts and why niche podcasts won more meaningful outcomes with fewer downloads. As traditional media continued to erode and AI flooded feeds, listeners doubled down on long-form audio for context, nuance, and human tone. That shift elevated experts who serve a specific audience with clarity, rather than chasing mass appeal or empty virality.Community took centre stage as algorithms stalled. Smaller, community-driven shows converted better because they focused on the right listener. We dig into how to use podcasting as a relationship engine, where know-like-trust beats top-line numbers, and share a real-world example of a modestly sized show landing high-value clients through consistent, relevant content. We also outline our pivot into strategic podcast guesting—moving away from random appearances toward aligned stages that deepen credibility and open new opportunities for both host and audience.Rounding things out, we introduce a new executive-level, concierge podcast model built for leaders who want on-location capture, higher production value, and a clear strategy without the duct tape. We wrap with an invitation to the upcoming Podcast Alliance event—featuring sessions on live, on-location podcasting and best practices for hosting—and a look ahead to 2026 priorities: tighter focus, stronger communities, smarter use of AI, and a relentless commitment to trust.Podcast Alliance Quarterly MeetUp & Mastermind Where Podcasters, Podcast Guests and content creators meet, collaborate and network!  Wednesday January 21st, 2026 11am - 1pm EST  3 amazing speakers! Permission for creative works to be imperfect and focused on process over outcome. Nature connection: Getting outside, paying attention to natural details (flowers, leaves, colours, wildlife), and practicing mindful observation to foster grounding and perspective. Importance of self-compassion, giving oneself credit for small achievements (especially with meditation or walks). Allowing yourself pleasurable, nurturing, or healing activities without guilt. Hi friends, it's Luci. After more than 200 conversations with photographers and educators, I've collected a treasure chest of “aha” moments—some that made me laugh, some that surprised me, and some that completely changed how I look at this crazy, wonderful business. In this episode, I'm sharing ten of the best lessons. Here's a little sneak peek:Relationships really are the secret sauce. The photographers thriving year after year all remind me that genuine connection—not algorithms—is what keeps our businesses strong.Andrew Hiorth gave me a plot twist. I always thought hiring other photographers would pull me away from my own creativity… until he showed me how it can actually give you more time to play, explore, and create for you.Olesha Haskett opened my eyes even wider. From textured hair and makeup to posing curves to avoiding “washout” in retouching, she shares what every photographer needs to know to beautifully photograph Black women. And yes… pet photography really can be a high-end goldmine. I suspected it long ago, and my guests have confirmed it again and again. That's just a taste—wait until you hear the rest.Want a freebie? A chilling pattern runs through centuries of human contact with beings that straddle the line between alien and spirit. On this episode, we explore strange abductions, parasitic intelligences, and the disturbing theme of energy vampirism that surfaces across Eastern lore and modern UFO accounts. Checking in with returning guests Dean Blachford and Ella Sui, who started the Blachford Tax Law firm in Ottawa, Canada in 2021. Blachford is the tax lawyer and Sui is the clerk, paralegal, and more, forming a small tag team specializing in Canadian tax law.  This is a fun episode because before they hung out a shingle, Blachford and Sui listened to the entire New Solo podcast library, building an understanding of a solo practice as host Adriana Linares and her guests discussed the challenges, and solutions, new practitioners encounter. Soon after they opened, the duo joined Linares for a podcast to share what they found to be the most impactful episodes.  So, how did that work out for Blachford and Sui? Four years later, hear what they learned from New Solo and how they put it all to work their firm. Bookkeeping, accounting, systems and processes, collections, clear goals, and careful documentation are all part of the firm's success. The firm considered hiring a junior attorney but instead leaned into tech by hiring a remote assistant (in the Philippines) and a human resources consultant. And (of course) this wouldn't be a New Solo podcast with a whole bunch of cutting edge legal tech solutions. Questions or ideas about solo and small practices? Drop us a line at NewSolo@legaltalknetwork.com     Topics: Guests Dean Blachford and Ella Sui started their New Solo practice by listening to the catalog of New Solo episodes. Four years later, hear how that worked out and how they learned to incorporate processes, procedures, remote help, and the latest tech. In a small firm, it's important colleagues' workloads. People may not always tell you when they are overloaded. Know when it's time to bring on help, whether in person, with a remote assistant, or through better technical tools and programs. Don't wait to document and establish clear processes, and stress those to new assistants. The things you put off early never get done. Document and follow your processes in the moment, don't procrastinate.
