Episode 1866. Hollywood cop. If you can die at it, it's not enough to try at it. Try it and see if you like it. See how it works. Ass-backward mentality gets confused with thinking straight when the solution is "exertion." Sends the mind into chaos. Hell happens in the untrained, weak mind. Watch and listen carefully to what happens when you say that the solution is exertion. Good news. You won't have to pick your starters, your team will pick itself. If you make training exertion compatible with the degree of difficulty on game day, your team will select itself. Not just on the field, in any field, any field, classroom, office. Less than 10% will stay; the rest will cut themselves. You won't lose any sleep or worry about the choices of who to pick for your team; it will be obvious. It don't matter who you like; no bias or subjectivity involved. All that matters is, "Did I stick it out, did I show up on training day, do I go through the highest degree of difficulty." Yes or no. That's all that matters. Pure meritocracy. The "challenge fighters" separate from the runners who fight having to invest in next-level exertion. Blunt Talk Podcast is guaranteed TO LIFT. 1987's HOLLYWOOD COP definitely has the most B's we've seen so far! But still kind of a crappy disappointment. There's a great butterfly knife sequence, some very tough to watch sexual assault, and a car chase? 2.375/5 bags. Acomi and Turk182 sit patiently in patrol car 55 and wait for their fellow police officer to radio for back up, but that's a call that'll never be made. This isn't just some ordinary cop on the case. He's the department's best cop. He's Hollywood Cop! In the tradition of other Amir Shervan classics like Samurai Cop and Young Rebels, comes Hollywood Cop (1987). When a woman's son is taken from their ranch by kidnappers who don't seem to understand the concept of kidnapping, ransom, or collateral, she drives from the Valley to L.A. to get eh best cop on the force to help her. Hollywood Cop! A police officer so dedicated and determined that he continues to help find the woman's missing son even after being suspended. With help from the worst partner since Batman had Jason Todd, and a superior officer (maybe), who'd have to be two weeks early to be on time, they'll rescue the boy and make those that kidnaped him pay. Remember, if you need police assistance, and you don't want to go local, and you can get to L.A., maybe you can hire Hollywood Cop! Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience. So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so. Note: This video is the commentary recorded by Acomi and Turk182, and selected screenshots. It is NOT a viewable copy of the film. The commentary can be enjoyed on its own, but if you want to experience the Let's Watch in all its glory, you'll need your own copy of the movie. Most of the movies viewed can be streamed online for free. #OMTWF #KorovaEntertainment #LetsWatch #LW #Acomi #Turk182 #awfulsome #HollywoodCop #AmirShervan #Tubi #SamuraiCop #YoungRebels Follow Acomi on Twitter at @AcomiDraws and on Instagram at AcomiDraws. Our 10th Episode!! To celebrate we knew it had to be a special film to discuss. Bouncing back and forth between all the greats like Kubrick, Tarantino, Scorsese, and Bergman we decided that nobody could be better than Shervan... What? never heard of him? You never heard of Amir Shervan?!?!?! And you call yourself a "Film Lover"? He's directed so many classics like "Hollywood Cop", "Killing American Style", and today's film "Samurai Cop"! From the breathtaking cinematography to the perfect choreographed fights this is a true masterpiece. The plot you ask? I mean, does it really matter? With superstars like Matt Karedas, and Mark Frazer do you really even need an engaging plot? Amir sure didn't think so. Grab some beer, sit back and listen to us talk about possibly, ones of the greatest films ever to exist.
Matt and Bob welcome guest Jeff Birkenstock to experience 1989's answer to CRANK: YOUNG REBELS! From the director of HOLLYWOOD COP, KILLING AMERICAN STYLE and SAMURAI COP comes a movie about relentless murder, sex, driving, muzzle flashes and a movie not about talking. Have you ever wanted to watch Robert Z'Dar get interrupted during coitus? Do you like protagonists that seem like side characters until they are apparently protagonists? Do you like scenes hinged on the contents of luggage? If yes, then this movie is for you! THE MOVIE ON AMAZON PRIME! THE MOVIE ON YOUTUBE!
We are back with movies and a good bad movie called Hollywood Cop! We also talk about Purge the TV show and the new terminator coming out.

On this week's episode we watch Tom's pick, the 1987 action movie Hollywood Cop. This movie was directed by Amir Shervan, the same person that made Samurai Cop! You can expect a similar level of grime and crime in this awkwardly raunchy spectacle. This movie came out 4 years prior to Samurai Cop so we draw the parallels between the two and see how Amir Shervan differed from one movie to the other... If at all. IT'S NOT AWESOME!

We get a little arty this week and review a couple in-depth gritty looks at police life on the mean streets of Hollywood or just a hyper-low budget, poorly acted Iranian take on 80s Hollywood copdom or something….
