Ice-blonde with blue piercing eyes and great gams, Carole surprised many with her salty tongue, endless pranks and keen head for business and publicity. A screwball comedy queen, she also had a big heart when it came to looking after everyone she came into contact with, on and off the set. A proto feminist, she strived for better contracts and demanded her way when it came to choosing writers, directors and cinematographers for her projects. Her life was tragically brief so we want to pay homage to this great lady who was really just getting started. In episode 17 we discuss Virtue (1932), No Man of Her Own (1932) and My Man, Godfrey (1936). Sources: Bogdanovich, P. We put the I, and Eff Bee Ihhh---ncoherant wailing, because this is our episode about one of the seminal shows of recent memory and modern fandom: The X-Files. Hoyden and Xenakis join Pru to talk about Mulder, Scully, how they found the series, what might have made it such a phenomenon, and how we feel about the upcoming six-episode miniseries. Chaneen also drops by for a non-spoilery quick chat about the first of the new episodes. We talk conspiracy, romance, shipping, the relative uselessness of Fox Mulder through the lens of an adult female viewpoint, and whether Skinner is getting hotter with time. (Yes.) Strap in, and for God's sake -- don't drop your service weapon. And don't forget to follow us on twitter. This podcast has everyone: Pru, MK, Leupagus, Twentysomething, Merelyn, and The Hoyden, all coming together to experience the great love story of princess toiletbrush and her loyal speed skating space wolf with wings. Also, Sean Bumblebean, King of the Bees. What are you waiting for, greys to try and kill you mid egg harvesting? After, you should follow us on Twitter.
Wow, guys, it’s another first time, because this week Pru and MK are joined by not only The Hoyden, but also by MK’s friend Paul, the first dude we’ve ever had on the podcast. We open with a quick discussion of Sailor Moon Crystal, Mythbusters, Fresh Off the Boat, and the Legend of Zelda Netflix show (confirmed after recording). For our longer discussion this week, we dip into one of the worst fandoms that all of us share: Naruto. Tune in to learn about why Naruto is the worst, how Kishimoto gave us all blue balls, and then listen to us struggle to figure out why Kakashi is so great. (Because he is. He is SO great.) It’s a dark day for fandom, so you might as well join us as we fail at everything.Note: there is some construction noise in the background of this episode because fucking Toronto, of course there is. Sorry about that. What are you waiting for, the Chuunin exam? It's time to get high on nasal decongestants and serums that fuck with your DNA, because Hoyden and Pru have congregated this very special week to talk about the latest, the probably not greatest, X-Men: Days of Futures Past. We discuss how the hell this movie managed to keep so many different threads clear, and whether or not the character arcs for our trio of leads worked, and if this movie course corrected on some of the more annoying paternalism from the first. Also, Wolverine's butt. So if you're ready for a spoiler heavy podcast with national treasure Hoyden tripping balls on cold medicine and holding up admirably the entire time, this is your time. You should follow us on Twitter for even more inanity during the week.
Get ready to give up one of your eyeballs for someone you love, because this week we're joined by The Hoyden for a special episode all about mangaka circle CLAMP. We'll cover the highs and lows, from that dark, fucked up shit show that was x1999/Tokyo Babylon to the sugary sweetness of Cardcaptor Sakura. And yeah, we know: the ending of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles made no sense, but we'll try to apply some logic to it anyway. So settle in with some snacks and the biggest bottle of sake you can get your hands on because it's all fun and games until somebody murders your twin sister to show you how much they don't care about you.You should follow us on Twitter for even more inanity during the week.
Maybe this year senpai will notice us! Or senpai will find this podcast episode where we talk about glowing fog penises and why you would ever want to microwave your manga collection and then ever speak to us again. This week we're joined by one of our favourite guests, The Hoyden, as we go deep (so, so deep) into manga, doujinshi, scanlating, and yes, a little bit of anime. There's no going back, but you should listen anyway. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter for even more inanity during the week.
Strap on your skates, assholes. This week we're doing it Kate Beaton style and getting all fucked up on Hockey. Whether you're not sure why Hockey RPF suddenly exploded as a major fandom and want to experience the joy and agony of #sports or you're already with us, this episode is like the steroids we're sure no professional athlete would ever take. Pru abandons MK with Merelyn, Twentysomething, and the Hoyden to talk lockout, why some pairings are bigger than others, and just how seriously Canada takes their national winter sport. Follow us on twitter for even more inanity during the week.

Double up on your popcorn this week folks, because MK, Pru, and The Hoyden take a journey of terrible discovery in the depths of your favorite (and least favorite) fanfic tropes. We cover everything from soulbonding to soulbonding with a mind meld, and detour in the land of magical ass babies and high school AUs along the way. If that sounds like your cup of tea, or perhaps you are just a keen fan of listening to auditory train wrecks, crank up the volume and settle in, because /report is always happy to serve.
Pru made the mistake of leaving MK alone with The Hoyden and Twentysomething this week with only the promise that they not make another episode entirely about Teen Wolf. So this episode is only half about Teen Wolf. The wolf pack talks gender AUs, SGA, Community, Teen Wolf, Legend of Korra, and loads more.Click here to stream or download this week's episode, or follow us on twitter for even more fail during the week.
This week, Hoyden, Twentysomething (Kate), Leupagus and MK ruin Pru's life by making her sit in on a Teen Wolf episode where we lose track of the plot, forget that a bunch of you have probably not seen the show at all, and get sidetracked by knotting constantly. Prepare to embarass yourself during your weekday commute as we go full on teen wolf on you.
Sorry we're late! First Pru and the Hoyden were drinking their way through Spain and then MK had the death flu for about a week. Fail. This week we talk about Fringe, The Good Wife, CSI NY, and The Mentalist, do a brief foray into your submissions for the Bad Fic Strong Like Ox challenge, and then move right on to the real meat - our very first Author Talk! We asked The Hoyden every question you sent us and made her answer them, whether she liked it or not.Don't forget to follow us on twitter for further hilarity between episodes.
