This week on the Damn Fine TV podcast… Jerry Horne is high in the woods; we don't mean altitude wise. Andy still doesn't really understand how his job works; he created the meme “That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works!” Diane has a hearty “fuck you” for everyone; we think it might be a term of endearment. Cooper and Janey-E take down Ike the Spike; Coop could smell him gettin' off the elevator. A humming sound gets louder, a man sweeps, Mr. C takes his fine ass out of jail, and someone is looking for Billy…has anyone seen Billy?! This week on the Damn Fine TV podcast… As our amazing guest - Twin Peaks PHD Jeremiah of Take The Ring - points out, Mr. C may not be in this episode, but that certainly doesn't mean evil takes a break. The Richard Hornes, Ike the Spikes, and Chad Broxfords of the world prove that Janey-E's statement about living in a dark time is all too true. Thankfully we've got the pure goodness and light of folks like Mr. D, Carl Rodd, Bushnell Mullins, and Miriam to provide a little soothing balm. Plus, there's the excitement of Hawk making progress in the “something's missing” case, and the introduction that finally puts a face to the iconic name: Diane. Oh and ALSO - it's Mells' 100th freaking episode of Damn Fine TV!! Woo hoo! DFTV would only be, like, “Fine TV” without Mells, so here's to 100 more! We're almost certain you're already following Jeremiah on YouTube but if you're not, there is no time like the present! This week on the Damn Fine TV podcast… The true return we've all been waiting for has finally arrived because Bobby salt-and-pepper-God Briggs is finally back on our screens! Oh, holy day. We're not worthy! And other such offerings of joy to David Lynch and Mark Frost for making Bobby Briggs such an important part of Twin Peaks The Return (in general) and Part Four. Zaddy Bobby wasn't the only character to make a reappearance - Denise, with her fine self, is also back and better than ever. And, we met some great new characters in Janey-E and Sonny Jim, Deputy Jesse and Sheriff Frank Truman, and, of course, Wally Brando. Notice we didn't put Chad in that mix… This episode was recorded in front of a live studio audience, and you can find a video version over on our Patreon. There is no doubt who's in charge down at the playground this week. But there's a lot of trouble brewing in the far-flung corners of our shared nightmare. Tragedy comes in form of ice picks and pickup trucks, and lingers in the air around one particularly ominous dime. Fortunately, heroes are at work, too: by the jungle gym, in the men's room at the Sheriff's Department, and, most stupendously, down at Max Von's bar. Grab some complimentary peanuts and join us as Jennifer cracks her knuckles on the topic of tough dames; Jonathan gives Janey-E time to shine; Colin is starting to get twitchy; and Damon plays a game of lights and ladders. In the Twist, we tackle the mysterious symbology of the Jones Family breakfast nook! If it's Thursday, this must be Vegas! There's a whole lotta “what the?!?” still bubbling away in Twin Peaks and the far-flung points on the map that now comprise our playing field. Cooper meets Dougie's wife, the tough-as-nails-and-spitting-them Janey-E! Gordon and Albert come face to face with a face they can't face! And… BOBBY'S A… !?!?!? Yes, it's a world full of strangeness as we spin an old tune and seek out an old friend for Twin Peaks Season 3, Episode 4: The Return, Part 4: Brings Back Some Memories! This week at the 4-top, Colin thinks everyone is trapped in their own glass boxes; Jonathan sees signs of classic Peaks and classic TV; Jennifer gets all into the mystery that is Wally Brando; and Damon calls a code blue! Then, let's Twist again by taking some time to consider the return of Denise Bryson!LISTEN: Apple Podcasts | Google Podcasts | BuzzSprout | Spotify | RSS | and more!S3, E4 NOTES:David Lynch (episode director)David Lynch, Mark Frost (episode writers)
This episode features brief descriptions of assault, abuse towards a disabled man, and several uncomfortable scenes. That really tells you what you need to know about Part 10, which attempts to frame Twin Peak's structural violence in fairly gruesome detail. But there is good buried under the bad parts; Janey-E and Dougie share a moment, the Mitchum Brothers are cartoon characters, and Gordon finds a bit of time to do some drawing.Check out chatzpod.com for all things Chatzpod!TwitterRedditTwitchEmail: chatzpod@gmail.comOur main podcast feed art was done by Camilla Franklin, whose work can be found at https://camillafranklin.myportfolio.com/

In this week’s episode, Daniel takes a stand against murdering children! He’s very brave. “Part 6” shows us a little more Richard Horne (mostly that he’s a total beta cuck), Janey-E firmly stands up to Daniel Faraday, and Ike the Spike does what he does best! Chopping Wood Inside: The Twin Peaks Podcast for Conspiracy Theorists
It's a Blue Rose podcast, most definitely! We have quite a little theory to tell you about Mr. C, Janey-E, and Diane, then we embark on our own journey to Jack Rabbit's Palace, sipping Bloody Mary's & chain-smoking Salem's, while repeating the ancient phrase (with Cockney accents) "This podcast is our destiny!"
After last week's recording session from hell (don't ask), Kate and Simon scale it back and go guest-free to take on one of The Return‘s most tonally dynamic and extreme episodes. Topics include: Dougie and Janey-E's, er, encounter; the trials of Candie; finally admitting that we miss a few long-absent characters; and we once again revisit the impact of Lynch's imagery of violence against women.

”Laura is the One”.
Brings back some memories.

**Deals with sensitive subject matter. Listener discretion advised** Part 6 of The Return takes us from Las Vegas to Twin Peaks back to Las Vegas as the plot seems to start narrowing in on the stories of "Dougie" in Lancelot Court and those of the residents (new and old) of Twin Peaks. Dougie helps nail down an insurance fraud scheme; Janey-E battles bookies; Carl Rodd makes his forlorn return to our screens. Notes: Article by Eileen G. Mykkels, "Lynch and Frost and Reactionary Media" Rolling Stone article Joel Bocko's recap Jeffries masterpost on Reddit: Music heard in this episode: "Windswept" -- Johnny Jewel "I Am" Oldschool HipHop Beat -- Blunted Beatz "Tarifa" -- Sharon Van Etten
Laura Dern makes her Twin Peaks debut! And while Dougie digs into his case files, an assassin sets off on a bloody, ice pick-wielding journey. In the words of Janey-E, "What kind of world are we living in where people can behave like this???" Also, Hawk finds something that has us thinking of Laura Palmer.
