Even though the iPhone has been equipped with a camera from the beginning, Apple has relied on third-party developers to make its camera hardware actually useable for anything other than quick snaps. The company dabbled in camera development but shied away from jumping all the way into the pool. But with Final Cut Camera, Apple signaled very loudly that it is shifting its perspective: it's now making the software required to take full advantage of its capture hardware. Patreon subscriber month continues with episode 12 of Twin Peaks: The Return. While Cooper fails to resurface in the body of Dougie Jones, Gordon Cole and Albert Rosenfield bring Tammy Preston into the Blue Rose task force. They also offer Diane Evans a less official role, although that may be a ruse to determine whether or not she's in cahoots with Bad Coop. Meanwhile, in Twin Peaks, Sheriff Frank Truman informs Ben Horne that his grandson, Richard Horne, ran over a child and is currently on the run. Richard's mother, Audrey, seems not to care as she's more worried about Billy, her current lover, who happens to be missing. Also, Sarah Palmer goes to the store for vodka. Erik and Justin try to find a new way to recap as Twin Peaks: The Return defies usual TV formats. Justin decries the acting and the editing. Erik finds his way to agreeing with him. He also tries to recall if Billy ever actually appears on screen. Lynch's tendency toward depicting violence against women comes into question. James Hurley continues to be the worst Twin Peaks citizen. A surprising number of ghosts appear. Erik leans on The Secret History of Twin Peaks and The Last Dossier to connect some dots. The pair go further into analysis than usual and the owls are not what they seem.

Joining us was Jesse Pires, the Director of Lightbox Film Center at University of the Arts, and Ross Lipman who is an Archivist and Film Restorationist. Peak Freaks, hello! Welcome to the latest pod. Today we are discussing if Andy's pros outweigh his cons, if Ben Horne is the true alpha of the series, and if Audrey is more than just an angsty, sexual interest for Cooper? Listen to all of this and more in the latest Peak Freaks.
We're back! We promised we would be. In the latest of our Twin Peaks character studies, we take a look at Ben Horne, and try to answer the most pressing questions: who does Ben Horne love? Who does Ben Horne vote for? And how does the remaking of Ben Horne reflect the unmaking of Twin Peaks itself? Spoilers for the entire run of Twin Peaks. We're at twitter.com/notaboutbunny. If you like what you're hearing, please leave a rating on Apple Podcasts, as it helps others find us.
Hannah and Cameron talk through Audrey's theme being desecrated, James' endless plotline, Ben Horne's recreation of a Civil War battle, and the merciful revalation, after fourteen episodes of buildup, of Windom Earle.
Hannah and Cameron get to the bottom of this odd episode that feels more like a series of deleted scenes than a cohesive throughline. They discuss Ben Horne's Civil War reenactments, the fading promises of Wyndam Earle, Inspector Gadget, and Lucy's big sweaters.
On episode 25 of Really Weird Stuff, we're discussing Twin Peaks Season 2, Episode 17: "Wounds and Scars". This episode was written by Barry Pullman and directed by Madonna video visionary, James Foley, who brings his more conventional cinematic style to our favorite mountain town. This episode is best known for the hijinks that ensue at Ben Horne's Save the Pine Weasel Fundraiser and Fashion Show. Special guest Matt Findley joins us to explore such mysteries as:HOW exactly are Norma and Annie related?WHAT does it mean to whistle past the graveyard?WHY is Coop being such a sliz to Harry about Josie, less than 24 hours after her sudden death?PLUS: Breaking down the palpable chemistry between Audrey and Jack.https://www.reallyweirdstuffpod.cominsta: @reallyweirdstuffpod twitter: @reallyweirdpod facebook: @reallyweirdstuffpodcast email: reallyweirdstuffpod@gmail.com
Hannah and Cameron compare the nuances of Twin Peaks to the unsubtle Dahmer show on Netflix (Directed in part by David Lynch's daughter, Jennifer). They talk about the benefits of using a surreal narrative, how Lynch employs musical fugues into his plots, and the love-to-hate-him aspects of Ben Horne.
September is here and that means that your dreams are about to die.... again. The Road Safety World Series is here and we're cooing about Sachin sitting in 1A while Watto's stable base makes us feel like Australia should win this meaningless tournament. Tim David will debut for Australia this week after he gives us some serious ASMR in the nets. Ben Horne is on the show to discuss another rival Indian league popping up to take away international cricket's best players. England are in Pakistan for the first time in 17 years, but what's Alex Hales like as a bloke? Rachel Haynes retires from international cricket after winning it all and then feeling nothing. #AskTGC ponders whether you can be good at something you've never done and a disturbing dream about Pezza in the urinals.
