You know we don't have a mean streak and far be it from us to rock the boat, but could this week's episode be our Waterloo? Maybe we are already gone. Perhaps we need to be thankful for what we've got and realize all we really need is the air that we breathe. Come Monday, we may just decide we haven't got time for the pain and if we wanna to get to rock and roll heaven, we gotta keep on smiling and finally get ourselves together by sundown. Working at the carwash may not need to give us the blues, after all, with all those people coming through, perhaps love is on the radar, and we'll find somebody to make us feel brand new. This week we are taking care of business by checking out the AT40 countdown from the week of June29, 1974. This show differed from the actual Billboard chart for that week, but don't worry, don't try and be a hero, just sit back, relax, and let us worry about which song fell where. We promise not to lose that number. Link to a listing of the songs in this week's episode: https://slicethelife.com/2018/06/30/american-top-40-week-of-june-29-1974/(Note this AT40 episode did not match the Billboard chart for the week, the Billboard Chart is here: https://top40weekly.com/1974-all-charts/#US_Top_40_Singles_Week_Ending_29th_June_1974 ) Also, a few interesting links to things we talked about in the episode: Randy Bachman trying out Rory Gallagher's 1961 Fender Stratocaster: https://m.facebook.com/RoryGallagher/photos/rory-letting-randy-bachman-from/10156342726701807/?_se_imp=0MenZcomZZKcSAnqL Winning performance - ABBA "Waterloo" at Eurovision 1974: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPri-oFy7qk Golden Earring - Twilight Zone Video (1982, Jack of diamonds cut by a bullet):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYFk9w9Na3c George of The Jungle (1967) Intro and Outro (drums the same as “Radar Love?): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeZBkfD8sdM The Sting Official Trailer #1 - Paul Newman, Robert Redford Movie (1973): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nAIb_J9T5M The Brief, Unexpected Success of The DeFranco Family: https://consequence.net/aux-out/the-brief-unexpected-success-of-the-defranco-family/ Medipren Commercial When You Haven't Got Time For the Pain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFDFcXC_9M8 For The Love Of Money - The O'Jays (Live from Daryl's House) ft. Tom Ward shares stories of "lessons learned" from three leaders he worked with in the Daily Dose of Design for June29, 2018.
My correction I sad Chiron is in Cancer, it is in Pisces. Right now we are overwhelmed with the energy of Cancer, sensitivity, emotional, old pain, memory and this makes us feel like we are down the huge rabbit holle The benefit of integrating all this helps moving forward, strengthening our emotional body and stops us from the looping and constant repetition.
