The Clarke County Commission approved a short agenda during its March 12 meeting. One of the first items discussed during the meeting was a Pine City Contracting invoice for CR 30 (project RA-CCP-13-47-19) for 9,601.13. The commission is receiving invoices and is working on final inspections. The commission discussed filling two vacant Equipment Operator II positions, and three Temporary Equipment Operator I (Flagger) positions for the Road and Bridge Department. There are five employees currently in their probationary period. The jail and Sheriff's Department employees' probationary periods are complete. Cancer coach, Healing Strong group leader, martial arts teacher and cancer thriver Jim Webb was diagnosed with intermediate stage prostate cancer in May of 2018. He was already on a path of research and education when he was diagnosed, and knew that he didn't want to go the conventional route of treatment. Since diagnosis his passion has been leaning about and teaching holistic methods and lifestyle changes to boost the body's ability to heal. He has been in martial arts for 17 years, is a level 3 reiki practitioner and particularly enjoys helping men on their healing journey with cancer. He works with his wife Kelly.
