From 'The Progrum' (subscribe here) A fun episode this week as Football Equipment Administrator, Kenny Farr, joins the pod to talk all things Oregon Ducks. Through 6 different head coaches, few things have remained the same with Oregon Football. Kenny Farr has. From being a student manager out of Grants Pass, to running the show, Farr has seen many coaches, hundreds of players and just as many uniform combinations in his time. There is much more to the EQ staff than just uniforms, it is the day to day that makes Oregon Football run so smooth. Farr shares his path to Oregon, the process of uniform selection, building his EQ staff and what separates Dan Lanning from the rest. Welcome to The Replayables, where The I-5 Corridor's Traffic Report hosts Tyson Alger and Justin Myers revisit one classic game in Oregon history every month. With the national championship coming up on Monday, we kick off this new series by transporting listeners back to January of 2011, when the Oregon Ducks and the Auburn Tigers met in Glendale, Arizona with all the Tostitos on the line. The final score may have read 22-19 Auburn, but Oregon fans know there's much more to the story. Listen in for stories about Chip Kelly, Brent Musburger, Dyer's knee and the origins of the phrase “Natty.” Then, tell us what game we should do next in the comments. Catch the full episode in the player above find us on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.Editor's note: Our Traffic Report team suffered a loss last week, with Crash, Justin's best buddy of a Pitbull, passing away after nine years together. After recording this month's Replayables, Justin wanted to say a few words to remember a very good boy. Yes, there's still plenty of football to talk around these parts. The Oregon Ducks have been very active in the transfer portal, the College Football Playoff semifinals are this weekend and there's still a bit of #Legacy talk to sort out. However, after 14,000 fans came through Matthew Knight Arena for two quality Big Ten opponents last week, Tyson and Justin attempted to answer that age-old question: How do you make men's basketball cool again in Eugene? For more, listen to this podcast in the player above or find us over on Apple or Spotify.PS: Yes, you have homework for next week. Justin and I will be rewatching the 2010 national title game before we record next. Here's the link to brush up before we stroll down memory lane. The I-5 Corridor is a reader-supported publication. Ohio State was able to ring in the new year the right way, obliterating the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl to earn a place in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The Buckeyes opened the game white hot on both sides of the ball, carving up the Duck defense in just a few plays and harassing Dillon Gabriel when Oregon's offense tried to get things going. It was a few plays from being a perfect game from Will Howard, Jeremiah Smith, TreVeyon Henderson, Jack Sawyer, Caleb Downs, Cody Simon, and company. We looked back at the quarterfinal matchup, gladly ate some necessary crow over our score predictions from last week, checked to see how our picks to click performed (spoiler: one of us picked both the offensive and defensive MVPs of the game), and broke down the game's key plays. After our Oregon rewind, we discussed the other College Football Playoff games and bowl games involving Big Ten teams. The conference continues to show well against everyone else. SEC fans are quick to point out that it's for no reason other than the games being meaningless, though. The B1G couldn't possibly be having a good year, and there's no way the SEC took a half step down in 2024, so just get that thought out of your head right now. After checking the scoreboard, we discussed some transfer portal news. It was completely up to date at the time we recorded, but since then the Buckeyes have added a linebacker and lost a running back. Life, especially in the portal era, comes at you fast. Finally, we looked ahead to Friday's titanic tilt against Texas in...Texas. Yes, the road before Ohio State was stacked as much as it could be against the Buckeyes when this journey began, but that's what you get for losing to Michigan. We checked out the Longhorns' rankings and discussed Ohio State's challenges before selecting our offensive and defensive picks to click and making our score predictions. We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or via email at silverbulletspod@gmail.com. Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show.Be sure to subscribe, rate, review, share, and follow the show over on Twitter at @SilvrBulletsPod.As always, thanks for listening!0:20 - A look back at a thoroughly satisfying revenge win over the Oregon Ducks in the Grandaddy of them All.35:21 - A walk through the other College Football Playoff games and B1G-centric bowl games with a side order of transfer portal news.1:04:31 - The College Football Playoff continues for Ohio State with a semifinal matchup against former Buckeye Quinn Ewers and his Texas teammates. We preview and predict it.
Valerie Jacques Lehman loves the Oregon Ducks. No matter their crushing defeat in the Rose Bowl. She says like many fans, she was devastated by that loss but says a real fan is loyal, win or lose. We talk with her about the big game and how she keeps on the sunny side even after the worst outcome.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning built his career on a reputation as a defensive whiz, coming off the Nick Saban and Kirby Smart coaching trees and turning the Oregon Ducks into a national power. But in the Rose Bowl, Lanning had no answers for the game plan that Ryan Day and Chip Kelly drew up for the Ohio State offense. The Buckeyes built a 34-0 lead in the second quarter, and at one point, were on pace to finish the game with 80 points and more than 900 yards of total offense. How did they do it? In this episode of the Buckeyes TomOrrow Morning podcast, Ross Fulton, the Xs and Os guru from BuckeyeHuddle.com explains how putting formations into the boundary, and using motion to create advantageous matchups, turned the Rose Bowl into a blowout.
Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson recap the top stories from College Football Playoffs including Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns eliminating Cam Skattebo and the Arizona State Sun Devils in a 2OT instant classic, Ryan Day and Ohio State handle Dillon Gabriel and the Oregon Ducks, giving them their only loss of the season, the guys think Quinn Ewers should return to college football next season to work on his game and much more!00:00 - Texas versus Arizona State Sun Devils19:52 - Ohio State versus Oregon27:37 - Quinn Ewers needs to come back to work on his game(Timestamps may vary based on advertisements.) #Volume #ClubSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
