Host Carl Jones is joined by former Notts County, Leicester City, Aston Villa, Southampton, Rayo Vallecano and England midfielder Mark Draper to deep dive into a career that featured Wembley wins, England call-ups and playing against some of the most iconic stars of his generation. We cover breaking through at Notts County, joining Brian Little in the Premier League and following him to Villa Park where he played his part in an unforgettable debut. There's also England regrets, falling out of favour with John Gregory and the moves to the South Coast and Spain before launching his own coaching academies in retirement. He also reveals what a Chairman said to him after feeling he might have paid over the odds for the promising young midfielder at a tribunal and what Matt Le Tissier said to him after a ten minute cameo for England. All that and much more, plus we reveal who you voted as the Premier League era's greatest ever Brazilian player. Spoiler: it's not Kleberson. Enjoyed the show? Kleberson won a World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and is now an assistant coach with New York City FC in Major League Soccer. Some great stories and insight in his conversation with NYCFC commentator, Glenn Crooks.

Aproveite!
Rich Williams, Mark Holmes, Pete Farries and comedian Danny McLoughlin huddle together to remember the resurgence of Manchester United and the man who helped kickstart it – Cristiano Ronaldo. Former United youngster Eddie Johnson joins us on the phone and gives us the lowdown on CR7's arrival, including those first few training sessions and the then-wonderkid's fashion faux pas. We finish with another episode of Football Fact or Fiction in which Rich tries to guess which of the many unlikely stories about Ronaldo is, in fact, true. It's just Rhys and Tom this week as Chris is off on a scouting mission to Brazil to unearth the next Kleberson - listen out for his match report after his first Palmeiras game! The first blank gameweek is now just around the corner so a bit of planning is required to ensure a full 11 can be put out without jeopardising future weeks so Rhys and Tom set out their plans to deal with this. In a week where everyone complained about the bloody international break, A Team of John O’Sheas is back to bring you the Premier-League-based nourishment which all true football fans need. With three law students on the panel this week, we thought it appropriate to bring back our ‘Make A Case’ format. Will Geeson will make a case for wooly jumpers, choir singing and just good-old decent, wholesome living to be recognised as the fundamental rights of British citizenship. Scott McGrory shall be presenting the case for Kleberson and Eric Djemba-Djemba to be awarded knighthoods for their service to the cause of football trivia. Finally, Paddy McCloskey will rant about things angrily in an incomprehensible accent for some time and then we will agree with him in case he threatens our families. Just kidding. We’ll actually be making a case for Premier League clubs we should all adopt as our second favourite teams. I’ll be organising fun this week. After last week’s controversy where Paddy blatantly allowed wrong answers to be admitted because apparently the segment is called, ‘organised fun, not organised accuracy’, I shall be attempting to restore order. There will be no alternative facts on this show. As Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said when he won the Ballon D’or for almost single-handedly winning the World Cup for Romania: ‘the truth will set us free’. All this and more beside on this week's episode of A Team of John O'Sheas...

It seemed to be opposites weekend at PPL park. Kleberson actually got on the field, with a goal that was more pin-point than an acupuncture session, there was a sending off FOR the Union and not against us, the Sons of Ben were seen holding a cup and NOT drinking from it, and Stormin Gorman was chatted up by a pretty girl. The world has truly gone mad, so allow the lads to try and make some sense of it for you…
Kleberson, oh Kleberson... Wherefore art thou, Kleberson? Who needs him? Danny Cruz was not one hundred percent terrible in this game (shock!) as the boys in blue eeked out a point after a frenetic finish in which we were on top for once. Hope for the future or just another disappointment in that we couldn't close out a game after taking a lead? You decide. Sorry for the compromised nature of this pod, but scheduling madness conspired against the lads. Normal service will be resumed next week.
