Travis crashes out following LAFC's crushing loss to ES Tunis, one of the worst moments in LAFC HISTORY. This game had it all: lack of effort, poor performance, zero creative play, individual failure, coaching failure, and a roster construction that wasn't up to it in the first place. Despite fans' dedication and traveling to support the team, this was thoroughly humiliating. It's Friday. Take a break, take a shot of something. Simon and Manny review the performance in detail, highlighting standout displays from Tosin Adarabioyo and Pedro Neto, and an impressive debut from Liam Delap, who showed flashes of what he can offer up front. The hosts look ahead to the next group match against Flamengo, discussing what needs to improve and how Chelsea should approach the Brazilian giants. There's also a serious discussion on Chelsea's transfer needs—particularly in attack, with the hosts analyzing where reinforcements are most urgent and who might fit the bill. And finally, Simon and Manny address the much-talked-about empty stadium in Atlanta, pushing back on the lazy narrative blaming fans. Why this falls on FIFA and scheduling—not supporters.

Plus - a bonus bit of Olivier Giroud who has rather fond memories of his time at Stamford Bridge!Next up in the competition the Blues are off to Philadelphia to take on a Flamengo side who sit top of the table in the ongoing Brazilian Serie A - and are managed by Filipe Luís and have Jorginho amongst their ranks! Will it prove a step up in quality? And finally - get yourselves ready for the VisitMalta Weekender (!) at Stamford Bridge... we discuss the bizarre truncated pre-season that Enzo Maresca and the players are having to contend with with Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan lined up as opponents in the week before the start of the new Premier League season. We'll be back next week to look back on Chelsea's remaining CWC group games against Flamengo and ES Tunis as they look to secure safe passage to the next round of the competition and book a trip to Miami... Sporting KC traveled to LA this weekend a bit short handed due to a rapidly increasing injury list and it looked like it as LAFC were the far better side on the night and came away as 3-1 victors in what could almost be described as a tune up match for them before they begin their club world cup campaign in a few days.  There was a moment of brilliance for Sporting as they scored a very beautiful goal that was very much against the run of play to take a 1-0 lead late in the first half.  It was unfortunately short lived as LAFC were able to equalize before halftime and then drew a penalty to go up 2-1 causing Sporting to have to push their numbers forward for an equalizer that allowed LAFC to create havoc in transition, which eventually led to a stoppage time 3rd goal. We've reached the midpoint of the season, and it's probably time to take stock in where this team is, what performances we've been warmed by so far this season, and what is reasonable to expect from the team the rest of the year.  There are opportunities to improve both on and off the field, as well as a run of home games over the next several weeks to hopefully string some positive results together. Finally we will check in on everyone's favorite topic to be mad about online, the USMNT, the KC Current continuing their dominance even as they struggle with injury issues of their own, and a quick preview of the upcoming home match against FC Dallas.
