Sunday Sermon from April 26, 2020 - Sermon by Pastor Phillip Greene based in Psalm 17 exploring David as he sought shelter from God during a difficult time.
In this live message from the Ignite Conference, Victor shares from personal testimony overseas and coming out of 1 Kings 2:2 about the importance of being rooted in the Spirit of Christ and His Word to grow in the courage of the life God is calling men to live in these days. Even in uncertainty evil does not have the last say and God is faithful to guide those he has purposed each step of the way.Connect with us at:VictorMarx.comFacebookInstagramTwitter See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

"A Man After God's Heart" Sermon by Pastor Ken Vance. Part One of the Series "The Promise of His Presence"
On this episode I wanted to share part 2 of my favorite sermon of the year which was a sermon preached by brother Aaron McGeary preached back in October at the Men's Meetings held in Hickory North Carolina. It was a sermon dedicated to all husbands, fathers, pastors, ministers, but it easily applies for any believer today both man, woman, and child. This sermon was so powerful and it touched everyone there in attendance and became a wake up call to all of us who are trying to serve the Lord in this hour. It solidifies the fact that our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with Spirits that anoint individuals and that we are our own worst enemy. On the last episode we left off with brother Aaron McGeary explaining how that a natural seed cannot reach it's full growth potential if something is getting in between the soil and the seed. The same thing with a christian, they will not be able to reach their full spiritual potential or expression if something spiritual is getting in between him and the spiritual seed which is the Word. Acts 13:21-23 21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. 23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: Genesis 18:19 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Series: David - Becoming a Man After God's Heart - Part 49 / Speaker: Dan Warkentin / August 18, 2019
"A Man After God's Heart"
Subject: 1 Samuel 13 Speaker or Performer: Bro. Tommy Miller Scripture Passage(s): 1 Samuel 13 Date of Delivery: June 16, 2019 Sermon by Bro. Tommy Miller at UVBC in Beebe, AR
"To obey is better than sacrifice" 1 Samuel 15:22. This Sunday, Pastor Ben taught us the correlation between divination and rebellion and the great cost that rebellion takes in relationship with Christ. Saul was a king with a rebellious heart so his kingdom didn't last, but David was a man after God's own heart (1 Samuel 13:14) and despite his failures, he remained a strong ruler with wholehearted obedience. Listen as we learn the keys to obedience and bask in the grace that we are given even when we fail.

How was David was a man after God's own heart? We know the terrible sins that David had committed.
Caleb Eernisse | This week, we kick off “Man Month” at CCC by talking about what it looks like to be a “man after God’s own heart,” much like King David was. Whether you’re “feasting on the Word of God” by reading, studying and acting upon Biblical truth, repenting wholeheartedly when you sin or worshiping God and ascribing all glory to him, hear what it takes to live as a man of God in today’s broken world.

Ilya shared message about worship. Message Notes: “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks” John 4:23 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship” Romans 12:1-2 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:1-4 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Isaiah 6:5 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:6-8 “but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 Notable points: - Worship is a gift that we give unto God that He Himself has not given us. - We all seek God ,but God only seeks one - a worshipper. - Worship is an attitude and an action. - Worship involves physical expressions founded upon biblical guidelines; they are neither ritual, perfunctory actions, or the serving of emotions for their own sake. Among the physical expressions of worship found in Scripture are kneeling, clapping hands, raising hands, verbalized praise, singing hymns and psalms, weeping, laughing, bearing witness aloud (“Amen”), reading the Word aloud, prostrating before the Lord, speaking in tongues, dancing before the Lord, giving public testimony, standing, silence, and spiritual song. 3 Things Worship Does to us: 1. Worship makes us look Upward. * You see God for who He really is. * Our focus shifts from our mess to our Master. * We become focused on the greatness of our God, not our problems. 2. Worship helps us see Inward. * We see our unworthiness in the light of His worthiness. * Worship reveals us our dependence on God. 3. Worship empowers us to go Forward. * It empowers us to answer the call. * Worship ushers us into the presence of God and the presence of God renews us. * Worship is directly tied to miracles and the supernatural. * Whatever we are going through, go through it with worship. If you like to hear about the lives of great men, be prepared to learn about the riveting life of King David. Learn why God declared him to be a man after His heart. Hear that David was not perfect but that he had the right mental attitude of toughness and responsibility and devotion to God. Find out four functions of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. Learn from David that it’s not our background but our submission to God’s authority that counts.
"Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might. Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth. Arrogant foes are attacking me; ruthless people are trying to kill me—people without regard for God. Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me." Psalm 54:1-4. Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 24:1-22. Sunday morning message by pastor Danny Groening. Part 7 of series "David, A Man After God's Heart".
"Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from all my sin." Psalm 51:1-2. Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 25:39-44. Sunday morning message by pastor Danny Groening. Part 6 of series "David, A Man After God's Heart".
"But I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble." Psalm 59:16. Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 19:1-24. Sunday morning message by pastor Danny Groening. Part 5 of series "David, A Man After God's Heart".
Jesus said: “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." Luke 6:32-36. Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 18:1-30. Sunday morning message by pastor Danny Groening. Part 4 of series "David, A Man After God's Heart".
"You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob. Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes. I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame." Psalm 44:4-7. Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 17:1-52. Sunday morning message by pastor Danny Groening. Part 3 of sermon series "David, A Man After God's Heart".
“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Psalm 100:1-3. Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 16:14-23. Sunday morning message by pastor Danny Groening. Part 2 of sermon series "David, A Man After God's Heart".
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7. Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 16:1-13. Sunday morning message by pastor Danny Groening. Part 1 of sermon series "David, A Man After God's Heart".

The repeated claim that David was a man after God's own heart is offensive to many. David was the man who committed adultery with Bathsheba and then deceptively had her husband Uriah killed. David also had many wives and was a man of violence. When Saul asked for 100 foreskins in order for David to marry his daughter, David brought 200. When David defeated the Moabites who had protected his parents while he was fleeing Saul, he laid them on the ground and killed two out of every three and made the rest his slaves. The list of David's "sins" is extensive and recorded in graphic detail. >Having said all of that, what would prompt God to go on record as saying that David was "a man after his own heart" (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:33)? Perhaps the answer to that question will help us to see what God is really looking for in us. Get the powerpoint slides here - http://www.godscharacter.com/files/ppt/david_man_after_gods_heart.ppt
