This is my sisters. She is outspoken, loud, has bad manners and extremely stubborn. More importantly she's witty, charismatic, transparent, hilarious, kind, caring, and more than anything a great sister that I've always been able to depend on when I feel lost. I am happy to introduce to you my sister, Melissa Carroll. Our conversation had a few highs and experienced a few stressful lows. I think this is a good example of how families can communicate and still love each other when we disagree.

Australia has been ravaged by the worst wildfires in decades with large swathes of the country devastated since July 2019. Twenty seven people have died nationwide, and in New South Wales alone, more than 2000 homes have been destroyed or damaged. Australian authorities have struggled to contain the massive fires. Entire towns have been engulfed in flames and an area the size of Belgium and Denmark combined reflect the scope of the current fires impacting the country. Half a billion animals have been likely affected by the fires with millions feared dead. I had the pleasure of visiting Australia in 2011 and love everything about it and as I witness the destruction occurring there it really tears at my heart. Two days ago, I attended a prayer circle and meditation event organized by my dear friends, Megan Sage and Melissa Carroll. It was sponsored by Royal Suzie and Modernesian Kava Social, two local businesses located in the Seminole Heights area of Tampa, Florida. I want to thank Matt Masifilio owner of Modernesian Kava Social for supporting this event. Both Melissa and Megan have appeared on our show in the past as special guests, and it is such a pleasure to have them back on today. Melissa Carroll is an Acclaimed Writer and Editor, Certified E-RYT 500 Hour Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, and Meditation Guide. Megan Sage is the owner of Royal Suzie Designs, which specializes in Boho Decor and exists as a Metaphysical Shop. She is a talented empath, medium, tarot reader, Reiki Master, and Certified Pranic Healer as well as an amazing artist. I was so touched by the Event from the other night that I wanted to host this episode so that we can share this experience with you.

This constant shifting permeates beyond the studio, touching all facets of our lives.- Melissa Carroll, editor of Going OM: Real Life Stories On and Off the Mat Listen to a Drishti Point Yoga Podcast with Melissa Carroll, yoga teacher, writer, and editor of Going OM. Melissa Carroll author of Going Om: Real-Life Stories On and Off the Yoga Mat.......WOW!...... “Nearly all the writers talked about the self-doubt they felt, the sense of struggle and unworthiness, not just on their yoga mats but throughout every facet of their lives. So you have to wonder, if everyone is coming to these classes and they’re not feeling good enough, and they’re fighting with the crazy inner monologue of their own mind, then the gorgeous thing is that we’re not alone in this. That’s why I think it’s so powerful for people to come together in these yoga classes, not trying to be better necessarily, but just trying to be with their own bodies in the present moment, as they are.” Email: melissacarrollyoga@gmail.com Website: melissacarrollyoga.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/santosha101
