In this episode of Hunger for Wholeness, Ilia Delio continues her conversation with neurotheologian Shaleen Kendrick on the practical meaning of Christogenesis, wholeness, and adaptive evolution. Shaleen reflects on what she calls “evolutionary mismatch,” the gap between our rapidly changing world and the neurobiological capacities we need to meet it with wisdom, compassion, and creativity.Together, Ilia and Shaleen explore how spirituality can become a lived practice of integration: not simply what we believe about God, but who we are and what we do each day. Drawing on neuroscience, process theology, epigenetics, and the image of living systems, Shaleen invites us to imagine people less as machines to be optimized and more as plants to be cultivated toward wholeness.Later in the episode, the conversation turns to Christianity in transition, the need for new systems, and the possibility of “wholeness-making” as a guiding concern for families, institutions, and the planet. Shaleen also shares the metaphor of jazz as a way to understand harmony, difference, and the creative work of becoming whole in real time.ABOUT SHALEEN KENDRICKRev. Dr. Shaleen Kendrick, ThD, is an emerging neurotheologian who developed the Neuro-Relational Integration™ (NRI) model—demonstrating how conscious integration across Mind–Body–Spirit neural systems can facilitate rapid adaptive evolution in how we think, act, and relate to ourselves, others, and the challenges of our time. NRI integrates neuroscience with liberation theology to show that through daily wholeness-making practices we can expand our human capacity and create new abilities that nurture not just individual flourishing but transform the systems we live in. She serves companies, practitioners, and faith communities, translating evolutionary spirituality into embodied practice—because the world needs humans who can evolve as quickly as our challenges emerge. In this episode of Hunger for Wholeness, Ilia Delio speaks with neurotheologian Shaleen Kendrick about neuroscience, contemplative practice, and the biology of spiritual experience. Shaleen shares her journey from conservative evangelical ministry through deconstruction, suffering, and contemplative prayer into the emerging field of neurotheology.Together, Ilia and Shaleen explore how religious experience is not separate from the body but mediated through it. They consider how God-language, belief, prayer, trauma, neuroplasticity, and contemplative practice all shape the brain and body—and how changing our images of God can change the very neural pathways through which we experience reality.Later in the episode, they discuss the resistance many theologians have to locating spiritual experience in neurobiology, the promise and complexity of psychedelics and healing, and the growing scientific evidence that spirituality is an innate human capacity. Rather than reducing God to biology, this conversation asks what becomes possible when we understand the body as the living temple of divine encounter.ABOUT SHALEEN KENDRICKRev. “If I can remember to carve out moments of self-connection, that's where creativity starts to flow.” — Nicki SizemoreThis episode is your invitation to rethink creativity through nourishment, ritual, and presence. I'm joined by cookbook author, recipe developer, and creator of Mind, Body, Spirit Food, Nicki Sizemore for a conversation about creativity, burnout, entrepreneurship, and the small practices that help us reconnect to ourselves.Nicki shares how years of overworking, blogging, recipe development, and entrepreneurship eventually led to a major burnout that changed the way she approached creativity and her business. What once felt controlled, scheduled, and productivity-driven slowly transformed into a more intuitive, nourishing, and surrendered creative process. We talk about how creativity often emerges through necessity, whether that's cooking from what's already in your kitchen, writing through difficult moments, or allowing ideas to arrive instead of forcing them. Nicki reflects on writing her book, Mind, Body, Spirit Food and how the process felt less like “writing” and more like allowing a creative force to co-create with her. Nicki also shares the BEST practice, a simple ritual she created to bring more intention and presence into cooking and daily life: Breathe, Engage Your Senses, Set an Intention, Thank Your Food, and Thank Your Body. What started as a way to survive burnout in the kitchen became a deeper practice of nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and creative connection. We also explore entrepreneurship, overdoing, creative blocks, and the difficult but transformative process of saying no. Nicki opens up about walking away from successful sponsorship work that no longer felt aligned and learning how to build a business rooted in nourishment instead of constant hustle. This episode is a reminder that creativity sometimes begins with a deep breath, connecting to your senses, and allowing yourself to slow down enough to listen. The answers you are looking for are right inside you, if you take a beat to tune in and allow creativity to co-create with you.Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, or on your favorite podcast platform while you cook, clean, or create. Everyone wants intuition. Purpose. Manifestation. Peace. Connection. Answers. But most people are trying to build their lives from a completely ungrounded nervous system. We live in a world that keeps pulling us out of our bodies and into stress, distraction, overwhelm, comparison, fear, overthinking, and information overload. Then we wonder why we feel anxious, exhausted, disconnected, and all over the place. In this episode, we're talking about grounding. Real grounding. Not just “go stand barefoot in the grass” grounding. We talk about: what grounding actually means why so many spiritual people still feel unstable the obsession with upper chakras while ignoring the roots nervous systems, presence, and living in reality instead of constantly escaping it why grounding is the foundation for healing, intuition, clarity, purpose, and real transformation We also talk about community and connection… because roots were never meant to grow alone. Nature already knows this. Trees communicate and support each other through the mycelium beneath the surface. The strongest roots are connected roots. And honestly? I think humanity has forgotten that. This conversation is an invitation to slow down, come back into your body, reconnect to what actually matters, and build a foundation strong enough to hold the life you say you want. Because grounding isn't what limits your spirituality. It's what allows it to become real. New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly. Sip. Connect. Awaken. Hey! Thanks for listening!
In this deeply moving conversation, the hosts of The Animal Communication Podcast welcome Dr. Isla Fishburn of Kachina Canine - intuitive medicine teacher, shamanic practitioner, grief tender, and author - for a conversation that truly transcends the ordinary. Dr. Isla shares her remarkable "long walk": a lifelong initiation into the consciousness of death, woven through early losses, a near-death experience, an abusive marriage, and the profound teachings of her wolf dog, Tunkashila. Together, they explore death not as an ending to be feared, but as a sacred, intelligent consciousness, an ancient ally that has always been waiting at the edge of our circle, asking to be let in. From the concept of "soulspan" and animals as body-hoppers across infinite lifetimes, to the lost art of ceremony and the village that once held us in grief, to the beautiful truth that a heart that breaks is a heart that wakes, this episode will shift the way you think about loss, love, and the animals who walk us home.

Forgiveness: The Pathway to Happiness with Dr. Dravon JamesWhat if the most powerful prescription for healing doesn't come in a bottle? In this deeply moving and unexpectedly eye-opening episode, I sit down with Dr. Dravon James—who, as a pharmacist, fills prescriptions to help people heal and feel better, but this time offers a prescription that doesn't come in a bottle: forgiveness. Not the surface-level kind. Not the “just move on” version many of us were taught. But real, healing forgiveness—especially forgiving ourselves.Dr. Dravon vulnerably shares her own story of misunderstanding forgiveness after experiencing deep father wounds as a child. When her father left, she quickly forgave him—but turned the blame inward, believing she was the problem. As she explains, this wasn't true forgiveness at all. It was self-abandonment.Together, we unpack what forgiveness really is—and what it is not.In this episode, we explore:Why forgiveness is not condoning harmful behaviorThe difference between forgiving others and forgiving yourselfCommon barriers to forgiveness, including:Lack of self-awarenessLack of clarityEmotional exhaustionWaiting for an apologyConfusing forgiveness with approvalHow forgiveness is an act of self-love, not weaknessHow forgiving frees you from the emotional grip of othersWhy forgiveness helps you reclaim your power and inner peaceForgiveness & HealthWe also discuss the powerful connection between forgiveness and physical health. Holding on to resentment, anger, and unresolved emotional pain doesn't just weigh on the heart—it impacts the body. Forgiveness, when done correctly, can reduce stress, support emotional regulation, and contribute to overall well-being.This conversation reframes forgiveness as a pathway to peace, freedom, and healing—not for someone else's benefit, but for your own.About Dr. Dravon JamesDr. Dravon James is a transformation specialist, inspirational speaker, author, and the Founder and Director of Everyday Peace. A pharmacist and leader in the healthcare industry for more than three decades, she is the author of Forgiveness: The Pathway to Happiness and Freedom Is Your Birthright.Dr. Dravon is the host of Dr. Dravon James Everyday Peace on MindBodySpirit.fm, a coach on the SiriusXM Road Dog Trucking Show, and an accomplished actress with career credits including a recurring role on HBO's acclaimed The Wire. Mind Body Spirit - Together As One by Cristian Bobocea, 1 Corinthians 14:15
In this episode, we go beyond surface-level healing and step into the deeper mechanics of how the body, mind, and spirit actually work together. This isn't about chasing trends or adopting buzzwords—it's about understanding design. We unpack how trauma is stored, why subconscious beliefs shape your reality, and what it really means to come back into alignment with how God created you to function. From quantum principles and nervous system regulation to identity, sonship, and the power of belief—this conversation challenges the idea that we're broken and replaces it with something far more dangerous: That we've simply been out of alignment. If you've ever wondered why healing feels inconsistent, why certain struggles won't go away, or why your prayers sometimes feel blocked… this one will hit different. And it might just change how you see everything.
What if the most damaging injuries from an accident are the ones no one can see? In this episode of Radio Medium Laura Lee, Laura sits down with legal expert, personal injury attorney Todd Bresney of Kanoski Bresney Law to uncover the silent, hidden wounds that often go unaddressed after trauma, from whiplash and nerve damage to PTSD, anxiety, and the deep spiritual disconnection that follows a life-altering event.Together, they explore why so many people override their intuition after a crash, telling themselves "I'm fine" while their body and spirit quietly cry out for attention. Whether you're navigating physical pain, emotional fallout, or a legal situation you don't fully understand, this episode reminds you: pain doesn't have to be visible to be valid. Knowing your worth isn't just legal... it's deeply personal.

You've felt it. Someone leaves the room and you feel weirdly exhausted. Or you ignored a gut feeling and paid for it later. This episode names what's actually happening, and gives you a practical system to deal with it. Episode Overview If you've ever left a conversation feeling like something was stolen from you, or spent years second-guessing whether your instincts were real or just anxiety in a costume, Lisa Campion is here to hand you a very grounded toolkit.Lisa is a Reiki master teacher, psychic counselor, author, and podcast host with over 30 years of experience working with empaths, healers, and people who are psychically open but have no idea what to do about it. She doesn't ask you to believe anything. She just shows you how the operating system works. In this conversation, Will and Karen sit down with Lisa to unpack energy vampires, psychic self-defense, and one of the most useful distinctions in modern spirituality; the difference between your intuition and your anxiety. Turns out, one of them has been running the show, and it probably isn't the one you'd want. What You'll Take AwayEnergy vampires are real, and most of them don't know they're doing it. Lisa breaks down the two distinct types, including the one that's far more common than the predatory kind, and explains why highly sensitive people are disproportionately in their orbit. There's a name for what you've been experiencing. If you absorb other people's moods, pain, or anxiety as if they were your own, Lisa explains what that actually is, why it happens, and why it can be a profound gift once you learn to manage it.Psychic self-defense isn't a Marvel movie concept. Lisa maps out a practical framework for protecting your energy, including what she calls "spiritual kung fu" for empaths who keep saying yes when they mean no.Intuition and anxiety feel almost identical. but only one of them is telling the truth. Lisa explains the neurological reason for this, and gives you a simple test to tell the difference before you override the right signal again. You're more psychic than you think. Lisa shares a specific, low-effort journaling practice that will show you, within weeks, just how often your intuition has been accurate while you weren't paying attention. The "army of healers" concept. This isn't motivational-poster talk. Lisa explains what a world looks like when empathic, intuitive people stop running on empty and actually show up for themselves and others.Listen Because This episode is for anyone who has ever felt "too much," been told they're too sensitive, or quietly wondered whether their gut instincts mean anything. Lisa Campion doesn't want your belief. She just wants you to start paying attention.

Tune into the newest episode of our Energy Works Podcast, where science meets spirit to help you heal, energize, and thrive. In this Big Ideas episode, Lauren welcomes author and intuition teacher Hilary McCann Crowley for an expansive conversation about what intuition really is and how it relates to consciousness.Hilary traces the word intuition back to its roots as an “inner tutor,” explaining that everyone has intuitive capacity, but each person experiences and relates to it differently. She also explores an important ethical principle in intuitive work: respecting another person's inner authority rather than projecting fear, shame, or certainty onto them.Along the way, she shares a memorable everyday example, reflects on ancestors, spirit, and the possibility of consciousness existing everywhere. Hilary offers a refreshing perspective on developing intuition which consists of not dissecting it, but instead, giving ourselves permission and unlearning what blocks it.This episode is an invitation to reconsider intuition not as something mystical or exclusive, but as a natural part of being human that becomes clearer when we slow down, listen, and trust our inner guide. You're doing the journaling, the breathwork, maybe even the meditation...and something still feels like it's missing. Not because you're doing it wrong, but because no one ever taught you why the energy you're working with matters, or how to stop giving it away. This episode is for the person who is spiritually curious but over the cosmic chaos, and ready for something that actually sticks. Episode OverviewGayle Thomas is back, and this time, she's traded the big-stage channeling sessions for something arguably more useful: practical tools for building what she calls energetic sovereignty. As a trained channeler, healer, and international facilitator, Gayle has spent years working in expanded states of consciousness. But her work has evolved. Now she's focused on helping real people, including the next generation, develop the inner capacity to stay connected without losing their footing in everyday life.In this conversation, Will and Karen go deep with Gayle on why your attention is your most valuable asset, what Christ consciousness actually feels like versus what it sounds like, and why learning to manage your energy field might be the most practical self-development move you've never been taught. What grounds all of it: Gayle's own story. A cancer diagnosis. A meditation practice built out of necessity. A profound experience she still struggles to put into words. She's not teaching from theory. She's teaching from the other side of a very hard road.Key TakeawaysYour gut instinct is doing something real, and there's a specific reason modern life is wired to override it. Gayle explains what's actually happening, and why even how we raise kids plays into this.Christ consciousness isn't what most people think, and it has nothing to do with religion. Gayle describes it as a feeling of coherence, and she unpacks why that distinction changes everything about how you pursue it.Your aura isn't mystical decoration, it behaves. Gayle breaks down the difference between a strong, boundaried energy field and a "spongy" one — and why the latter explains a lot about chronic fatigue, emotional overwhelm, and saying yes when you mean no.Trying too hard is the block, for anyone who's attempted meditation, breathwork, or spiritual practice and felt like they were the one person it wasn't working for, Gayle offers a surprisingly logical explanation...and a workaround.Gen Z might be in trouble, and Gen X might be the fix. Gayle shares what she's observing in younger generations around connection, bliss, and attention, and why she's now training adults to bring these skills directly into schools and youth spaces. There's a specific first step into Christ consciousness, and it starts somewhere much simpler than you'd expect (hint: it's not a retreat or a ceremony).Who Needs to Hear ThisIf you've ever walked out of a party feeling inexplicably drained, said yes to something your body was screaming no to, or had one fleeting moment of genuine stillness and spent the next three years trying to get back to it...this conversation was made for you.Gayle doesn't ask you to believe anything. She asks you to get curious about your own experience first, and build from there. That's a rare posture in a space that tends to demand faith upfront.Especially relevant if you're raising kids right now and quietly wondering how to give them something the algorithm can't.Listen, Then Do One ThingPress play. When something lands — and something will — write it down before you move on to the next episode. This is the kind of conversation that reveals itself in layers, and the insight that feels small in the moment is often the one that changes something weeks later. If you missed Gayle's first episode, where she walks through her cancer diagnosis, her TARP channeling experience, and the moment that changed everything, you can catch up here:https://www.skepticmetaphysician.com/gayle-thomas-tarpNew listeners: start there. Returning listeners: this one picks up exactly where that one left off.
In this episode of The Better Life, Dr. Pinkston welcomes Brett Aldrich, founder of Seed the Spirit, for a deep dive into the 5,000-year-old science of Ayurvedic medicine. As an Ayurvedic healthcare counselor and somatic breathwork teacher, Brett shares how we can move beyond the "corporate model" of contemporary medicine to find a personalized path toward true wellness. The conversation explores how the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and ether—make up our unique constitutions and how "doshas" (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) influence everything from our physical health to our emotional temperament. Brett explains that while the world around us may feel chaotic, Ayurveda provides the tools to remain centered and "whole" within that chaos. Fear can feel like “the facts,” when it's really your nervous system trying to keep you safe. On Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, hosted by Sayan, Cindy Costley shares how survival patterns can quietly shape symptoms, choices, and self-trust. This episode is for anyone stuck between science, spirituality, and “what actually works.” You'll hear a layered approach to healing—where biology, energy practices, faith, and inner re-patterning meet—so you can move from protection to possibility, gently and safely. About the Guest: Cindy Costley is the creator of the Electromagnetic Body Desensitization Technique (EBDT) and the voice behind a four-pillars healing approach bridging Western science, Eastern practices, spirituality, and Scripture. She shares her lived experience of decades of chronic illness and how safety-based healing changed her relationship with her body. Episode Chapters: Mic trouble & restart for clarity (00:03:30) Choosing the topic: fear + four pillars (00:08:01) “My body wasn't failing me”—it was communicating (00:13:22) Trauma as biological first, not just psychological (00:14:49) Four pillars explained: science, energy, spirituality, Scripture (00:17:44) Fear stored as “allergy”: the dairy story (00:26:05) Healing in layers + retraining safety over time (00:31:56) Key Takeaways: Notice where fear “decides” your life—then name it as protection, not identity. Track symptoms as signals: “What might my body be trying to keep me safe from?” Heal in layers: address the root trigger before challenging the pattern. When you feel an instant “no,” get curious: belief, or old protection? Practice safety-talk: calm reassurance after regulation (not during survival mode). What if your clearest path forward isn't a bigger dream, but a truer one? We explore “Dreaming Out Loud” as a practice of practical mysticism—pairing Pisces-season intuition with concrete steps that move life in a kinder, more intentional direction. Instead of chasing far-off fantasies, we focus on right-sized visions you can actually build, starting from where you are and honoring what's already in motion. We talk through how clarity is returning after weeks of deep self-care, why this moment feels more focused, and how to translate that focus into choices that matter. You'll get simple journal prompts to map three- and six-month visions, plus a method for turning each scene into one next right step. Along the way, we share a powerful reframe from the Akashic Records: you didn't fail—you evolved. Plans that keep changing aren't proof you're off track; they're signs you're syncing with real life, real people, and a collective timeline that's alive and shifting.Key points include: • weekly energy theme of practical mysticism• clarity returning after self-care and inner work• Pisces energy as interconnection and creativity• right-sized visions that fit current life• journal prompts for three and six months• focusing on next right step and traction• reframe from failure to evolving with others• syncing hearts and collective timing• Seven of Air: independence and soul sovereignty• affirmation for living on your own termsIf you're ready to write it down, speak it out, and let the universe meet you halfway, this conversation will help you set a course you can hold—light enough for grace, strong enough for progress. If this resonates, subscribe, share with a friend who needs clarity, and leave a review so more seekers can find the show.
