In this episode I take a look at women's basketball. Taking a look at first the best women college players by jersey number. Then I take a look at the match up between Arizona vs. Stanford and from there keeping with the women I go back in time and look at a lady who started out as a little girl growing up in Claflin, KS then making her way to a college campus in Springfield, MO at the time know as Southwest Missouri State. She became a college phenom and set numerous records. Her name, Jackie Stiles and it was then that Jackie-Mania was running wild. Then with the retirement of coaches one position and maybe two have been filled as Porter Moser has moved on to take on the Oklahoma job as Drew Valentine the brother of Denzel Valentine has been elevated from assistant to head coach. And I close out by taking a look at the Men's Final 4. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/anthony-smith34/support

Rafael Nadal's reign as the King of Clay Court tennis has rolled on in Paris after a comprehensive three-set win over Novak Djokovic in a heavyweight men's final of the French Open overnight. Spanish great Nadal has tasted glory 13 times at Roland Garros - easily the most by any man or woman at any grand slam event. It also lifts him to 20 grand slam titles, equaling the record held by Swiss maestro Roger Federer. Tennis correspondent Dave Worsley speaks to Susie Ferguson.
Marcus Ally and Michael Gillett discuss the women's French Open final along with previewing the men's and trivia to finish. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
What can we say, it has been a cheeky year. The French Open is occurring during the Parisian fall, at limited capacity. Yet still, nothing’s really changed — it’s Rafa, it’s Novak, it’s not Zverev, and it’s not Jannik Sinner... not yet at least. The same sitcom is playing this year — Kramer bursts in to mooch some cereal from Jerry, just like Novak performing a near split to stretch for a backhand in a long physical rally with a trophy and a grand slam purse on the line. You have come to expect it, haven’t you? This episode is quick and dirty, like red clay spraying up as Rafa slides and finishes a buggy-whip. Cheers m8s, - m88888s

In the part two of the US Open recap, Vansh and I are joined by Mert Ertunga, former tennis player, coach, and now writing for Tennis with an Accent (a lovely accent, by the way.) This part was dedicated to the most bizarre final a lot of us fans have seen in a Grand Slam probably ever. Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev delivered great tennis and absolutely tense tennis within the same point at times. And it was great. There's just too much to unpack in this match, but bottom line is: Dominic Thiem is finally a Grand Slam champion after heartbreaking finals against Nadal and Djokovic, in one of the most entertaining matches of this century. But not because of tennis quality.
