It's the Roland Garros 2025 2nd Round Show... In Thursday's action, Henrique Rocha and Alexander Bublik each pulled off upset wins from down 2-0, against Jakub Mensik and Alex De Minaur Respectively. Joao Fonseca was dominant against Pierre Hughes-Herbert to set up a meeting with Jack Draper, who fended off a fluctuating Gael Monfils. Blisters are the only concern for Novak Djokovic who's tennis was rather blistering against Corentin Moutet. In Wednesday matches, Casper Ruud was effected by injury in a loss to Nuno Borges, Carlos Alcaraz dazzled against Fabian Marozsan, Tommy Paul was tough as his truck in comeback against Marton Fucsovics, Holger Rune put in a disciplined performance against Emilio Nava, and Stefanos Tsitsipas continued his slide with an upset defeat against Mateo Gigante. 0:00 Intro 0:50 Rocha def Mensik 5:05 Bublik def De Minaur 14:20 Fils def Munar 24:00 Fonseca def Herbert 28:00 Draper def Monfils 33:50 Djokovic def Moutet 45:00 Borges def Ruud 48:25 Alcaraz def Marozsan 51:25 Paul def Fucsovics 54:50 Rune def Nava 58:28 Gigante def Tsitsipas Joao Fonseca and Jack Draper are set for a 3rd round blockbuster. The gang's all here! Joel, Kim and Chris return to serve up all the drama from Round 2 of Roland-Garros 2025 — and what a rollercoaster it's been! It was heartbreak for the British women as all three bowed out, but there's still hope on the men's side with a surprise all-Brit clash now set between Fearnley and Norrie. Meanwhile, Jack Draper lit up the Parisian night in a sizzling showdown with crowd-favourite Gael Monfils — and did his best to dodge a 5th set thriller!Emotions ran high as French maestro Richard Gasquet bid adieu to the sport on Court Philippe-Chatrier, falling to World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. We look back at his fabulous career (and that oh-so-silky one-handed backhand!). Elsewhere, big names like Djokovic and Alcaraz powered on, while seeds Tsitsipas, Ruud, de Minaur, and Mensik suffered surprise exits. While British women are out — with Raducanu falling to queen of clay Iga Swiatek — the American charge is alive and swinging, with Gauff, Keys, and Kenin all cruising through (rackets in hand this time!). And don't miss our pick for Round 3: Ostapenko vs Rybakina — it's going to be fire!PROPERTY HUB INVESTIf you're serious about property, head to https://propertyhub.net/start to take your first step.SOCIALSFollow us on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, plus email the show tennisweeklypod@gmail.com.MERCHPurchase Tennis Weekly Merch through our Etsy store including limited edition designs by Krippa Design where all proceeds go towards the podcast so we can keep doing what we do!REVIEWS***Please take a moment to rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your pods. God lyssning! Hosted on Acast.
In this podcast we react to Day 4 at the French Open 2025. Carlos Alcaraz turned on the heat to power past Fabian Marozsan in 4 sets! Injured Casper Ruud was defeated by Borges and Tsitsipas suffered a big loss to Matteo Gigante! On the women's side Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka continue their dominant runs. ❤️ SUBSCRIBE TO GTL: https://bit.ly/35JyOhz ▶️ JOIN YOUTUBE MEMBERSHIP: https://bit.ly/3Fk9rSr

With Jimmy out of town, Brett guides us through the Monte Carlo draws as we look forward to the QF's tomorrow. Tsitsipas looking for his 4th title in Monte Carlo, what is it that makes him play so well there every year? Carlos Alcaraz wins his first matches at the event and looks great heading into his match up with the French man Arthur Fils. Fils the only player to make QF's at all 3 masters 1000's this season. Djoker loses again to Alejandro Tabilo, which makes us ask what is the 24 time major winners motivation at this point in his career? The Masters are under way in Augusta, Georgia, Brett is picking Advantage Connors favorite Ludvig Aberg to come through and win his first major. But Scottie Scheffler is the returning champ and tied with him on the leader board going into Friday.
It's the start of clay season, and Brett Connors stops by the podcast to discuss the grandest setting in tennis as the ATP hits the dirt in Monte Carlo. Connors reacts to Novak Djokovic's early loss, and questions what his motivation might be at this stage in his storied career. The Tennis Channel producer also reacts to Carlos Alcaraz's sizzling play, and breaks down whether Arthur Fils can continue to rise to the occasion in their quarterfinal showdown. Connors also examines why Stefanos Tsitsipas continues to light it up in Monte Carlo, as the Greek man looks for his fourth tournament title here. And the co-host of the "Advantage Connors" Podcast previews a couple of big showdowns on the clay, as Grigor Dimitrov faces as Alex de Minaur, and unlike quarterfinalists Alexander Davidovich Fokina battles Alexei Popyrin. Hosted by Mitch Michals.

Alexandra Stevenson joins the podcast for a great discussion about her career as a tennis player, and how she discovered a passion for tennis that still endures this day. Stevenson looks back at her early memories of tennis, and the path she took that led to a Wimbledon semifinal run at the age of 18. The former pro discusses the joys of that run in London, the scrutiny that followed, and why she is still very much involved in the sport as a teacher in the current day. And Stevenson shares her thoughts on the current trends on the WTA, areas where the current crop of female players have improved, and what is lacking in the modern pro game as well. And then Kenny Ducey stops by to recap last week's tournaments, where Stefanos Tsitsipas found his form and a new racket en route to a title in Dubai. Ducey examines what propelled Tsitsipas to the winner's circle, and how Tomas Machac was able to claim his first career title in Acapulco. The betting analyst also shares his thoughts on Felix Auger-Aliassime & Alexander Davidovich-Fokina's strong showings, Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro elevating their games, and which players he expects to perform well at Indian Wells, which begins this week. Hosted by Mitch Michals.
