It was only Jason Anderson in attendance for Monster Energy Kawasaki at the 2025 SMX Media Days, but we've also included Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders Ty Masterpool, Drew Adams, Cameron McAdoo, Levi Kitchen and Garrett Marchbanks in this On-Record podcast.
Few remember that in 2019, when Austin Forkner was ascending in the sport and threatening a perfect season in 250SX East Region, that Jordon Smith was actually the closest rider to him. Forkner's eventual ACL injury and a title for a young Chase Sexton later become the story. By then, Smith had hurt his wrist, and struggled for years to solve that injury. In fact, he thought his career might be over. After missing major chunks of racing over the next few seasons, including two frustrating seasons with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, he took the pressure off during a brief run with Firepower Honda. Then Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing called, and Jordon's career rebuild was really taking shape. Now he's got a new deal with Triumph that could stretch to three years and the 450 Class. Jason Weigandt rings him up for this podcast. The Racer X Exhaust is presented by Yoshimura and Racer X Brand.
Presented by Pro Taper Round four of the Pro MX Nationals traveled to the East Coast and visited the legendary High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania. And while the 450 class results were the same as they were are, we were treated to a special victory by Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's fill-in racer Ty Masterpool. There's something special about a racer's first career win, but making this one even more memorable was that it was the Pro Circuit race team's 300th victory!
Presented by OGIO Powersports and Yamaha For this week's episode of the SML Show, host Donn Maeda sits down with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Austin Forkner to discuss his brutal crash in Arlington, touch on the massive gains Pro Circuit has made on their machine, and plenty more. This is the audio-only version of the SML Show starring Jo Shimoda, following his excellent 2021 season with the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team!
It's been a few weeks since we'd seen or heard from our pal Cameron McAdoo of the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team. After an eventful 250 Supercross series, "Madoo" regrouped, took a deep breath, and showed up healed, rested. and ready for this summer's 250 MX Nationals. Sadly Cameron's summer came to an end in the second moto when a came into contact with another racer and injured his knee severely enough to need surgery and a lengthy recovery process. We caught up to see how Cameron has been doing, get an update on his recovery, and much more. Enjoy!
Today, April 17, Bell Helmets releases its newest off-road motorcycle helmet, the Moto 10 Spherical MIPS. Unless you're blind or do not pay close attention to the sport, you should have taken notice of the new Bell Helmet that has been worn by Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, and the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha, and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki teams since last year's Salt Lake Supercross marathon. Benny Tozzi from Bell Helmets stopped by the SML offices to share the story behind the helmets, which is hands-down the most sophisticated helmet Bell has ever produced. We've been riding in one for a few weeks now, and we can attest to the fact that it is super light, insanely ventilated, and supremely comfortable.
Presented by OGIO Powersports and FMF Racing This is the audio from last weekend's SML Show, featuring Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Jo Shimoda of Suzuka, Japan.
Presented by Pro Taper Can you believe that Christmas has already come and gone? It seems like just the other day that we were answering the door for our neighborhood trick or treaters, and here we are already only a few days away from the New Year. Today's Kickstart Podcast covers a variety of subjects, including Alex Ray's recovery from last week's concussion scare. ARay actually called in today from Center Hill, Florida, where he is finalizing some bike settings with the team and shooting poster photos at Tyla Rattray's new compound. Chase got out with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Jo Shimoda to film last week, and he offers some insight about the Japanese rider and his progress on the new green machine. All in all, a great time on today's show! Thanks for listening.
If not the biggest news of the off-season, it's at least the most surprising: Jeremy Martin has returned to Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha, the team he rode for from 2012 to 2016. The previous ending of that relationship was not good, but Jeremy needed a new home after GEICO Honda closed, and he knows the Star YZ250F is a great bike. Jason Weigandt chats with Jeremy about the GEICO shutdown, signing with his old team, and why he didn't take the offer from Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki or Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull GasGas. Plus, the annual "can you finally win a supercross title" question! The Racer X Exhaust Podcast is presented by Yoshimura.
Jason Weigandt was part of a press conference this week featuring Christian Craig, Ty Masterpool, and Mitchell Harrison. All three riders were pretty honest during their media session, with Craig discussing what it's like to try to hold off Eli Tomac in a moto, his relationship with Chase Sexton, and how he rides much harder than it looks. Harrison admits he had to get on the podium or win now that he's part of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, and Masterpool tries to explain his parent's background in skiing and snowboarding. Except he can't! Enjoy a free-flowing conversation in this edition of the Racer X Exhaust Podcast. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura.
Presented by Fox Racing Jordon Smith's season came to a halt just a few days before everyone else. A crash on the opening lap of the 250 Main Event left the Smith with torn ligaments in his right knee, which Smith revealed was already weakened by an off-season incident. Surgery was deemed necessary to repair the damage and the recovery timeline means that Smith will spend most of his first year with the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki squad on the sidelines.Back home in Southern Georgia, Smith's focus is now on getting back to full strength through therapy with sports specialists in Tallahassee so that he can make the most of 2021, plus plenty of time playing XBOX (JSmitty62 is his gamertag).
Presented by Fox Racing Ideally, we'd be chatting with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Garrett Marchbanks while doing track walk at the Indy Supercross, but with the cancellation of the event due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we caught up with the racer from Utah on the phone on this rainy SoCal Saturday morning. Having earned the first 250 Supercross win of his career last weekend at the Daytona Supercross by Honda, Marchbanks is understandably still on cloud nine and had plenty to talk about in this week's Fox Feature.
A 250 championship is usually followed with thoughts of how the young champ will perform in the big-bike class. Adam Cianciarulo's 250 National Motocross Championship is different. This is a moment that is frozen in time because of the journey it took Adam—and his team—to get there. In this episode of the Racer X Exhaust Podcast, Jason Weigandt recaps the day at the Ironman National and logs some interviews during the actual post-race championship party for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, including chats with Adam, his coach Nick Wey, team owner Mitch Payton, and even Cole Seely, who stopped by to talk retirement and congratulate his friend. Most of all, this all provides a little perspective on a rider who has more perspective on himself than most. The Racer X Exhaust Podcast is presented by Yoshimura.

Jason Weigandt cornered Adam Cianciarulo and his coach Nick Wey for an in-depth conversation inside the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki truck. Adam has made great strides this season as he battles for the 250SX West Region Championship, and he gives Wey, a longtime pro racer with plenty of podiums on his résumé, credit for a lot of it. But what do they work on? Weigandt pressed for specifics and learned about Adam managing the emotions of racing, how Wey presses his buttons—and then even Mitch Payton gets in on the conversation, comparing the modern racer to the days when Wey was a racer himself. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura.
Marchbanks made his professional debut in the 2018 AMA Pro Motocross Championship for the prestigious Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team. Marchbanks proved he could run up front in the series, but his season was cut short due to a mid-season crash. 2019 has seen Marchbanks finish top ten in four of the five rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross in the 250 Class, with a second place finish at San Diego on February 2.
With 150 Supercross wins, 113 MX wins, and 30 titles, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team is a force to be reckoned with. Mitch Payton created Pro Circuit after his own riding days ended, and over the years they've had great equipment, as well as a stellar lineup of talented riders, all of which led to where we are today. Listen in as he helps us break in our first podcast.

The Dallas supercross has not always been kind to Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac, but he put all of that bad history in the rearview mirror with an absolutely dominating performance on Saturday. Eli’s season has been a chorus of highs and lows and we’ll get his thoughts on the entire season and beyond tonight. It’s never easy for the 250SX West riders to endure such a long break mid-season, but it’s always easier to take when you go into it with some momentum. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo has shown impressive speed all year and earned a season-best 2nd at San Diego before the long hiatus. It’s always a pleasure getting AC’s perspective and look forward to a little bench racing on all three series, and anything else he wants to weigh in on. Racer X’s David Pingree is on the show tonight. Put your kids to bed early and park your feelings at the door.
