Proactive's Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts' of the latest news from Polymetals Resources Ltd. Polymetals has raised A$35 million before costs through a single-tranche placement at A$0.80 per share. This capital boost brings the company's total cash reserves to A$37 million, with access to an additional A$26 million in undrawn debt facilities. The funds will support the restart of the Endeavor silver-zinc operation in central New South Wales, with initial production expected in the second quarter of 2025. The capital will be used to strengthen the company's balance sheet, expand near-mine and regional exploration, including at the Carpark prospect, and cover corporate and general working capital expenses. The placement was well-supported by new and existing investors, resulting in the issuance of 43.75 million shares. While company directors did not participate in the placement, they intend to acquire shares through an upcoming share purchase plan (SPP), which could raise up to A$3.2 million. Polymetals confirms that restart activities at Endeavor near Cobar remain on track, with refurbishment, surface and underground development, and key equipment procurement progressing as planned. A local representative of a North Clare town says "it's time to leave the bats behind" and focus on delivering a much-needed car park for the area. Plans to demolish a number of derelict buildings on Monastery Lane in Ennistymon in order to build an off-street car park on the site have been held up for two years due to the presence of bats within the structures. Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor Shane Talty is confident that now the project is moving forward, locals and visitors alike will be able to avail of the additional car parking capacity in the near future.

Episode 130:Mathew Morris talk to me about the archaeological dig that resulted in the discovery of the final remains of Richard 3rd, which serves as a prelude to the next episode which will be all about Shakespeare's take on the final Yorkist king. Towards the end of our conversation, we spoke about the differences between the Richard of the play and what the skeletal remains that were uncovered tell us about the real-life king, but most of the conversation is about how the remains were discovered, recovered for analysis, and how they were proved to be the remains of Richard 3rd.Mathew Morris is a Project Officer at the University of Leicester Archaeological Service with over a decade of archaeological experience, having excavated a wide range of rural and urban archaeology across the Midlands, from the prehistoric period through to the Second World War. His specialisms include urban archaeology, community archaeology and Roman and medieval archaeology.Mathew graduated from the University of Leicester in 2003 with a BA in Archaeology and an MA in Landscape Studies, joining ULAS in 2004. Notable projects include a massive multi-period urban excavation at Highcross in Leicester that included excavation of Roman town houses, commercial buildings, two lost medieval churches and medieval cemeteries and a Roman cemetery at Western Road in Leicester, and, of course in 2012 he directed the successful archaeological search for the lost grave of King Richard III. Recently, he has been digging up more Roman buildings and mosaics in Leicester, at the former Southgates Bus Depot and All Saints' Brewery sites and is currently leading the archaeological work for the Leicester Cathedral Revealed project. He has co-authored the most comprehensive book ever written on the archaeology of Leicester - 'Life in Roman and Medieval Leicester' (2021) and three popular archaeology books: 'Visions of Ancient Leicester' (2011), 'Richard III: The King under the Car Park' (2013) and 'Roman Leicester: Life in the Roman World' (2018). He is actively involved in promoting archaeology to the general public, regularly providing talks to local societies, and is a Committee member of the Leicestershire Fieldworkers, and a Branch Leader for the Leicestershire Young Archaeologists' Club. He also currently leads the Castle Hill Community Archaeology Dig and the Bosworth Links Community Dig. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Martin Sandström, Chief of Staff, EasyPark Group joined Grayson Brulte on The Road to Autonomy podcast to discuss the evolving landscape of urban parking and its intersection with autonomous vehicles and city planning. Parking is a crucial tool for cities to manage mobility as it's often the second-largest revenue stream for municipalities after taxes. During the conversation Grayson and Martin explore how digital layers and data are transforming parking management, allowing cities to implement more effective pricing and policies based on supply and demand. Add autonomous vehicles into the picture, and the opportunity to solve issues such as overstaying in charging spots and reducing congestion is greatly improved. Then there is electric vehicles and the challenges that those vehicles bring to the urban mobility landscape. There are challenges implementing electric vehicle charging infrastructure in parking facilities, including the high upfront costs and current reliability issues. In some European countries, particularly Scandinavia, governments are mandating the installation of charging in parking garages.Looking to the future, Martin envisions parking becoming more technology-driven with less human interaction. He sees the potential for parking to be bundled into autonomous vehicle subscriptions and for parking operators to evolve into mobility hubs offering various services.Parking and mobility management will become increasingly important as urbanization continues, especially in emerging megacities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Eventually, consumers won't need to think about parking at all because of autonomous vehicles. But before we get there, parking technology is needed to ensure a smooth parking experiences in urban cities.Recorded on Friday, June 28, 2024Episode Chapters0:00 The Business of Parking7:48 Large Events and Parking11:31 Autonomous Vehicles and Parking21:11 EV Charging and Parking31:21 EU Parking Policies 32:35 Founding of EasyPark 36:23 Future of Parking37:58 Key Takeaways--------About The Road to AutonomyThe Road to Autonomy® is a leading source of data, insight and commentary on autonomous vehicles/trucks and the emerging autonomy economy™.
