Few remember that in 2019, when Austin Forkner was ascending in the sport and threatening a perfect season in 250SX East Region, that Jordon Smith was actually the closest rider to him. Forkner's eventual ACL injury and a title for a young Chase Sexton later become the story. By then, Smith had hurt his wrist, and struggled for years to solve that injury. In fact, he thought his career might be over. After missing major chunks of racing over the next few seasons, including two frustrating seasons with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, he took the pressure off during a brief run with Firepower Honda. Then Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing called, and Jordon's career rebuild was really taking shape. Now he's got a new deal with Triumph that could stretch to three years and the 450 Class. Jason Weigandt rings him up for this podcast. The Racer X Exhaust is presented by Yoshimura and Racer X Brand.
New team deals are getting announced later than ever, as we still await Monster Energy Kawasaki announcing its new deal with Jorge Prado for the 450 class in 2025. We also have seen Pierce Brown on his new Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing machine, and know that Star is signing new amateur talent like Caden Dudney. Plus GasGas moves away from Troy Lee Designs and into the same program as Rockstar Husqvarna, including Rockstar sponsorship. Jason Weigandt talks about all of these moves, and then talks to Triumph U.S. Team Manager "Scuba" Steve Westfall to hear how Year 1 went for the new brand. Scuba doesn't hold back! The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura and Racer X brand.

He also explains how the two week food challenge addresses frustrating symptoms like: bloating, inability to sleep, foggy head, lack of energy, feeling lethargic and lack of athletic performance. An additional subject discussed during the first half of this podcast is the dirty little secret that the large “weight loss” company’s don’t want you to know and understand. NBC Sports’ Ricky Carmichael has been settling into his new gig nicely calling the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross from the booth this year. We will get his off-camera perspective on the awesome racing and the quickly approaching 10th Annual Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at the Daytona International Speedway. Hard to believe it has been 10 years already, but we’re stoked to have been a part of this awesome event since its inception. Check out www.RaceDaytona.com for more information and we hope to see you there! Monster Energy Pro Circuit’s Austin Forkner had a far too exciting day leading up to the 250SX East opener in Minneapolis last weekend but won convincingly with the holeshot and leading every lap. Austin is always an entertaining interview and we look forward to his take on the racing and everything else in his crazy world. Jeff “6-Time” Stanton has been surviving the Michigan winter as only the “Rocky” of motocross would by keeping his regular fitness and farm schedule regardless of the insanely cold conditions. We hope he thaws out a little when he heads to Daytona while racing multiple classes in the newly added Daytona Vintage Supercross at Ricky’s race this year. We will get his thoughts on all of that and his always honest opinions on the new supercross racing so far. Cole Seely is officially back on a damn dirt bike! That was not a given after some serious consideration and soul-searching after his latest severe injury. We’re pumped for our friend and are glad to welcome him back on under better circumstances. Austin Forkner didn’t have the outdoor season he wanted after a rollercoaster summer, but we know he is full of fire and will learn from it and come out swinging. We dig his personality on and off the track and always enjoy catching up. Racer X’s Wheels will be on to discuss The Smagical Benefit Ride Day coming up next weekend at Sweeney’s MX Playground. You can check out the details and info at www.Road2Recovery.com. Wheels has taken the lead on this ride and we’ll get the latest from him tonight. Austin has scored consistent top-ten finishes this Outdoor season with his best coming at High Point where he finished 2nd place. In both the Southwick and Red Bud rounds he was leading when the second place rider made an aggressive move resulting in Austin going down. With a little less bad luck, Austin is a […]

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner is only two points back in the 250SX East battle after his second consecutive win in Atlanta. We’ll get his thoughts on the victory and season heading into the always entertaining Daytona race. We’ve known Brett Smith since the beginning of our time on DMXS and have always enjoyed his journalistic eye in whatever project he decided to tackle. We’re pumped to hear he’s launching www.WeWentFast.com as another conduit to his ever-increasing moto audience. Please do yourself a favor and bookmark this site and support his efforts moving forward. Our sport is lucky to have his perspective and we look forward to his new endeavor.
