The PathogenPaul exposes the depravity of man as a problem that must be addressed. Jesus is the righteousness that comes apart from the law, as revealed through the Law and the Prophets. It is only through faith in Him that we are made righteous.

The Oracles of GodThe words of God were first entrusted to the Jews. Now, through the Gospel, they have come to us—producing faith that frees us from the consequences of sin. Since mankind has the ability to choose whom we will serve, we are ultimately responsible for our own destiny.

A Matter of the HeartThe Jews believed that judgment was for everyone but themselves. Paul confronts this mindset by emphasizing that a true Jew is one inwardly. In the same way, Christianity—or our religion—does not save us on its own. It is imperative that Christians cultivate a genuine heart relationship with God, as hypocrisy gives the non-religious world reason to blaspheme.

The standard of heaven is perfection, but religion cannot make us perfect. Furthermore, God does not show favoritism to the religious. Only through Christ can we meet His holy requirements.

The Value of HumilityTo judge others is to acknowledge that we know what sin is, yet often times we sin against the light that we have been shown. Patient continuance in faith leads to immortality, but obeying unrighteousness leads to God's wrath.

Exodus 20God's expectation is that each child learns from their parents how to honor Him and respect others. He has ordained mothers to give life, and it is the duty of every believer to honor and respect them.

Exchanging the Truth for a LiePaul warns that rejecting the truth leads to profound consequences. When we exchange the truth for a lie and abandon natural relationships for unnatural ones, it initiates a downward spiral. This self-indulgence erodes the foundations of society, leading to moral decay and lasting harm.
