Stop Pleading Guilty To Traffic Violations. Why do truckers and the general public keep agreeing with the police? When you get a ticket, you are still innocent till proven guilty in the USA! So why do you just pay the ticket and go about your business? I'll tell you why. Because it is convenient to just get it over with. Plus you feel you can't win in court. Especially against an officer of the law, right? Wrong! Did you know that, in the long run you suffer more when you plead guilty? Did you know that certain tickets can cost you a great job in the future? So why are you just giving up so easy? Look, the easy way is to just send the state money and admit to your guilt and the hard way is to fight it. Time is money right? You can't see yourself pleading not guilty and then showing up in court to fight, can you? Then you have to hire a Lawer and pay him also, right? SO what if you do lose? At least you gave yourself a fighting chance, right? Have you ever heard of, throwing yourself on the mercy of the court? In most cases, even if you lose, a judge will reduce the violation for you. If you receive the following tickets, Speeding 15mph or more above the speed limit, Following to close, Improper or unsafe lane change, Using a hand held device, reckless or careless or any other major ticket driving, you should fight them all the way. Things You Should Know About Speed Limiters. The FMCSA is moving forward with speed limiters. This will include all vehicle with a gross weight of 26,000 pounds or more. The proposed speed will be either 60, 65 or 68mph. Many advocates have stated that speed limiters are a danger. Citing that split speeds cause people to interact more and thus increasing the odds of an accident. For example. When one vehicle is moving ten mile per hour faster than another. He/she if forced to make more moves than others. Please write in and tell us your thoughts on this matter. Let us know if you agree with the FMCSA or are against the ruling. Explain to us what you feel should be done about this argument. Two Semi Trucks hit the same bridge an hour apart In Joliet IL this past Friday. Not one but two tractor-trailers hit the same exact bridge. At 5.30 AM the first semi truck wedged itself under the bridge. At 6.30AM, an hour later, another semi truck hit the bridge in the left lane. This editors advice to drivers? If you see a bridge and are unsure of the height, don't move forward. Now, if you are approaching and there is another semi-truck already stuck under the bridge. Dont try going under it. Thats a special kind if ignorance. TRUCKERS CAN'T FIND PLACES TO EAT AT. Since the pandemic has begun, it has disrupted people in many ways. Truckers are no different to these sufferings. Finding a common place to sit down and enjoy a hot meal has been challenging for most Americas Truck Drivers. A recent poll by CDLLife found that over 75% of all OTR Truck Drivers are having difficulty finding a good hot meal and a place to enjoy it on the road. Truck Stops and other places are finding it hard to keep employees working during the pandemic. Many workers are choosing to stay home and collect unemployment instead of taking a chance and working in the general public. This has put a strain on the restaurant business which intern has affected the Over-the-road truck driver. Companies could capitalize on this situations. Another problem that had plagued ti United States, is finding truckers to fill their empty trucks. A trucking company could possibly help with their own problem of the lack thereof, by installing microwaves, inverters, electric burners and crock-pots. This would attract drivers to a truck that is set up to provide "hot home cooking" right in the comfort of their very own assigned company truck. A look at 2020's crazy events in trucking A LOOK AT 2020'S CRAZY EVENTS IN TRUCKING. In 2020 there were crazy things that happened in trucking and TalkCDL Trucking podcast was there to tell the story. The trucking industry seen many violent incidents and one that comes to mind is the Fedex driver that dragged a protester to his death. We were all witness to that crazy night when protesters seemed to scare a truck driver while surrounding his rig. Just like any other man, the Fedex diver drove off slowly not knowing a man was caught in his drive wheels. While protesters banged on his truck to warn him it appears it startled and scared the man behind the wheel, causing him to drive away for hi own safety. It was a sad ending for all that were involved. One man was killed and the other would have to bare the burden of knowing a person died under his truck. I don't believe the Fedex driver knew what happened and most likely would have never driven off if he knew a driver was trapped in his drive tires. Another incident in trucking would take place May 31st 2020 on the I35 Bridge in Minneapolis MN when a truck driver pulling a liquid tank found himself face to face with an angry mob of protesters. When he tried to cross the bridge the protesters blocked him and he came to a sudden stop. The police would later charge the truck driver with some trumped up charges. The semi-truck was attacked and the driver was beaten by the crown. At one point people could be heard shouting throw him over the bridge. The police showed up and took the trucker into custody. This was a perfect example of people not knowing what they are talking about. In our opinion, if that truck driver was trying to hurt or kill people, he could have slaughtered numerous people effortlessly. The future of this driver remains to be seen but we are hoping he will be cleared of any wrong doing. http://bit.ly/Fedexprotesthttp://bit.ly/Truckdriverchargedhttp://bit.ly/GeorgeFloydRiotshttp://bit.ly/Truckingcompaniesbankrupthttp://bit.ly/pinnedundersemicdllifehttp://bit.ly/mankilledwhensemitruckcrashesthroughhousehttps://www.cdc.gov/niosh/topics/truck/health.htmlhttps://www.jjkeller.com/homehttps://drivenci.comhttps://www.revinsurance.comTrucking’s white elephant and stuffPile Ups and a Trucker Christmas10 Most Dangerous States TO Drive In TalkCDL trucing podcast's sponsors. Air India has been operating charter flights between USA and India to repatriate its citizens who have been held up getting back home by travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has also been selling tickets to the public. USA Department of Transportation (DOT) says the Indian government and regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have not allowed US airlines to operate same kind of flights to India, creating what DOT termed “a competitive disadvantage for US carriers”.
