Send Steve a Text MessageYour blues can sound bigger without moving your hand at all. Steve Stine (GuitarZoom Academy) shows how to get real, melodic blues phrasing by camping in one spot on the neck and treating that position like a full roadmap of the song, not a box you get stuck inside. We build everything around a 1 4 5 in the key of A (A, D, E) and make it more authentic with A7, D7, and E7 colors. We start by visualizing chord shapes and chord tones at the 12th fret using CAGED thinking, then connect those shapes to the A major pentatonic scale so your lead lines naturally outline the harmony. You'll hear how chord tones become targets, while the “extra” pentatonic notes become the smooth steps between targets, turning scale patterns into musical sentences. We also nail one of the most important blues guitar sounds: finding the minor seventh by stepping back from the root, and using it to add that gritty blues pull. Then we layer in a classic flavor move Steve calls the minor major twist, slipping the minor third against a major chord for tension and release. From there, it's all about choices: stay in A major pentatonic across the whole progression, or shift your pentatonic approach with each chord (like D minor pentatonic over D and E minor pentatonic over E) for more motion and contrast. If you want cleaner solos, better note choices, and blues phrasing that sounds intentional, this one is a keeper. Mamás en Acción es una organización no gubernamental (ONG), fundada por Majo Jimeno, que tiene como objetivo principal evitar que los niños hospitalizados que no pueden estar acompañados por sus familias pasen tiempo solos.Majo Jimeno explica que los voluntarios de esta ONG realizan labores de acompañamiento y apoyo emocional, como dormir con ellos, tomarles la mano, ir con ellos al quirófano o sostenerlos con cariño durante las pruebas médicas.Mamás en Acción, según su fundadora, acompaña a tres perfiles específicos de niños en los hospitales: niños en limbo legal (perfil 1): menores que ingresan al hospital tras sufrir situaciones de maltrato o abandono y que aún no están formalmente bajo la tutela del gobierno. Familias vulnerables (perfil 2): niños cuyos padres atraviesan situaciones precarias (como falta de recursos o exceso de trabajo) y necesitan ayuda externa para evitar que se desestabilice el entorno familiar. Y, finalmente, niños tutelados (perfil 3): menores que ya viven en centros de protección, pero que se quedan solos en el hospital durante las noches o fines de semana, debido a las limitaciones de personal y recursos de la Administración.

In near-perfect conditions following a week of brutal French heat, Sunday's Paris Diamond League produced three Diamond League records.In this episode:– Audrey Werro came to Paris explicitly targeting the women's 800m world record and ran a personal best of 1:53.80 — a Diamond League record, meet record, world lead, and Swiss national record. She's now the only woman ever with multiple sub-1:54 performances (three of them, all this season). The world record is 1:53.28, set by Jarmila Kratochvílová in 1983. Werro is 0.52 back.– Femke Broeders-Bol's 800m transition is real. The reigning 400m hurdles world champion ran 1:55.60 in the 800m — a massive personal best — finishing second behind Werro's Diamond League record. Her move to the 800m is no longer an experiment.– Cam Myers ran 3:28.00 in the Paris Diamond League 1500m — a personal best by over a second, the 27th fastest time in history, and faster than Jakob Ingebrigtsen at the same age (Jakob ran 3:28.68 at 20). Myers beat a field that included 3:27 man Azeddine Habz and 2025 World Championship medalists Jake Wightman and Reynold Cheruiyot– What it all means for the Bowerman Mile at the Prefontaine Classic– Grant Fisher won the Paris Diamond League 5000m in 12:54.80, edging Jacob Krop (12:55.22) and Andreas Almgren (12:55.38) in a stacked field where ten athletes broke 13:00. The win also marked the fifth Diamond League victory by an American men's mid-distance runner in 2026 — the most ever in a single year, with seven meets still remaining.– Marco Arop dominates the men's 800m.
