In the final message of our “Come Home” series, Pastor Shawn Nichols shares a powerful reminder that God's love always welcomes us back—no lectures, no judgment—just open arms and celebration. Whether you've been far from faith or struggling with forgiveness, this message challenges us to reflect on the heart of the Father and how we respond to those coming home.
What if Jesus said something so shocking, it challenged everything you thought about following Him? He did. On the night before His death, Jesus told His disciples, “It's better that I go.” Better? What could be better than walking with the Son of God? In this message, Jason and Susan Elsmore unpack why Jesus said that—and what it means for us today. The truth is, God hasn't left us alone. He's given us His Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, our Power, our Guide, and our Peace. And the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Whether you feel close to God or far from Him, this message will inspire you to stop striving and start depending. "I want to see..." Luke 18:31-19:10Luke 18:9-14Luke 18:18-23Luke 18:24-2724 Seeing that he became sad, Jesus said, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”26 Those who heard this asked, “Then who can be saved?”27 He replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”What is the fundamental orientation of your soul? Luke 18:35-19:1-1035 As he approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging. 36 Hearing a crowd passing by, he inquired what was happening. 37 “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by,” they told him.38 So he called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 39 Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”40 Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to him. When he came closer, he asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?”“Lord,” he said, “I want to see.”42 “Receive your sight,” Jesus told him. “Your faith has saved you.” 43 Instantly he could see, and he began to follow him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.1 He entered Jericho and was passing through. 2 There was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. 3 He was trying to see who Jesus was, but he was not able because of the crowd, since he was a short man. 4 So running ahead, he climbed up a sycamore tree to see Jesus, since he was about to pass that way. 5 When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down because today it is necessary for me to stay at your house.”6 So he quickly came down and welcomed him joyfully. 7 All who saw it began to complain, “He's gone to stay with a sinful man.”8 But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Look, I'll give half of my possessions to the poor, Lord. And if I have extorted anything from anyone, I'll pay back four times as much.”9 “Today salvation has come to this house,” Jesus told him, “because he too is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.”Zacchaeus & the Blind Man• Zacchaeus was 'small in stature.'• "Salvation (soteria) has come to this house..."Acts 28:28 Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”• What does the word 'salvation' mean in Luke's writing?“Today salvation (soteria) has come to this house,...because he too is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.”“Your faith has saved (sozein) you.”Acts 4:9-129 If we are being examined today about a good deed done to a disabled man, by what means he was healed, 10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead—by him this man is standing here before you healthy. 11 This Jesus isthe stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.”"There is salvation (soteria) in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved (sozein).”"There is healing (soteria) in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be healed (sozein).”

The Kingdom comes, v. 7-10Luke 10:1-12Four reasons for miracles in the New Testament... a) demonstrate God's power and authority b) validate the messengers c) immediately piqued people's interest in the Kingdom of God d) established a platform for the Gospel 4. The Kingdom is communal by nature, v. 11-16Three Taverns was a real place some two thousand years ago on the Appian Way, just outside of Rome. It was a traveler's rest and is mentioned in the book of Acts. We don't know much about it, but from stories we're told it was a place of thanksgiving and communal hospitality. We imagine Three Taverns as a place weary travelers in the ancient world found rest, community, and conversation—centered around food and drink at the table. Though the world has changed immensely since days of the Roman Empire, the culture of the table has been a constant throughout the ages. At Three Taverns, we believe, as we gather at the table and share our lives together over good food and drink, we are formed at our best as humans. Mental worship… 1 What questions is your soul asking after hearing this sermon today? 2 What was your last experience with kindness that really hit the mark? 3 Are you a functional believer in karma? 4 When the Bible says of God that, “He does not deal with us according to our sins” what does that make you think, feel or want to do? 5 What about your life makes people curious about the Kingdom? 6 Where do you experience rest, community and conversation?

Culture convinces us that to welcome someone means to "entertain" - to have the well arranged house, the right food, the mood lighting, the perfect music and vibe.In contrast, Jesus shows in the story of Zacchaeus that by leading from a place of humility and weakness we make space for the weakness of others. And it is in a moment of honest vulnerability and being seen and loved in their vulnerability that people come to truly and fully belong to a community. Scripture:Luke 19:1-10Luke 14:33Luke 16:9

Fourth Sunday of AdventIn today's readings as in our daily lives, the presence of God is recognized in the little things. Does not each of us know how a small gesture of greeting can transform someone? Not a word from Mary is recorded in today's Gospel but her gesture of familial love speaks volumes. We have probably been busy with the hustle and bustle of the Christmas shopping season, placing Advent on our to-do list for the holidays. It is not too late. We know that Christmas is only hours away but there is still time to prepare. It takes just a word to do what we should have been doing since the start of Advent if not the start of our lives of faith... say Yes to God in small ways. As Mother Teresa once said, God does not call us to be successful, He calls us to be faithful. This approach is at the heart of Christianity. In this series, we're going to talk about who they are, how we are supposed to relate to them, and what we are supposed to be doing about them.In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally shares how we can look for the lost. Luke 19:10 Jesus' goal is to seek, not separate from the lost. The lost aren't our enemies, they are the mission. The lost aren't our opponents, they are our objective. The lost aren't the problem, they are the point. The Great Commission:Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, (but they aren't Christians!) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."As Christians, we don't fight against the lost, we fight for the lost. In Luke 15, Jesus tells three parables about someone finding things that are lost:Luke 15:1-10Luke 15:22-24 All three of these stories show the Father's heart toward the lost: He is looking for them, running to them, and when they are found, through their repentance, He rejoices. How do we look for the lost?1. Looking for the lost requires that you leave your comfort zone. They're probably not here. Looking for the lost requires that we take what's in here and export it out there.Mark 1:16-18 A fisherman doesn't fish in his living room, he goes to a lake—because that's where the fish are. In the same way, the church building is not the primary place where we fish for the lost. 2. Looking for the lost requires that we live a life differently than the lost.Jesus ate with sinners, not to condone their sinful lifestyle, but so they would no longer be sinners. Seek AND SAVE.Romans 12:2 We are friends TO the world, but not friends WITH the world. You cannot affect the world by being like the world. We are supposed to be looking for the lost, but we aren't supposed to be looking like the lost. 3. Looking for the lost requires that we see the inherent value in people.Luke 15:28-32 4. Looking for the lost requires God's help. You need a co-laborer to fulfill the great co-mission.Matthew 28:20 "...And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."God is asking for you to partner with Him in finding the lost.Evangelism not something you do by FOR God, its something you do WITH God. Are you looking for the lost?Homework: Ask the Lord to show you one person and commit to praying for them every day this week.

The Spirit of the Accuser is something that, if you are a believer, you have probably experienced. It is a self righteous, high and mighty spirit that lives in those who believe they know God's Word better than anyone else, and are the self appointed judge and jury of interpreting the scriptures and deeming who is a "true Christian" and who is a heretic. They may even build their platform with the title "apologist", but their hearts are not to guide and guard God's people, but to rip apart every Christian they don't agree with. After all, THEY know better. In today's podcast, I expose the spirit of the Accuser as seen in the Bible, and modern day.key scripture:John 7:40-52Proverbs 6:16-19Revelation 12:10Luke 11:53,54Matthew 12:10Luke 23:2John 8:1-6Matthew 12:36---------SUBSCRIBE ▶️ Receive our latest videos:https://www.youtube.com/c/PastorSteve...ABOUTPastor, author and speaker Steve Berger is known for his straight talk in dealing with various hot-topic cultural issues that many pastors avoid. Today we pick up in Mark 11 as Jesus and His disciples are coming back into town. It's a longer episode today as we look into many teachings Jesus spoke that are recorded in the gospels for us to see. He and the religious leaders seem to go on a constant back and forth as we look at lots of exchanges today, and then close out with Jesus teaching the disciples of His second coming and His crucifixion. As well Judas and the religious leaders began their plot to betray and kill Jesus. In today's world productivity, doing and achieving, is what we do. And sometimes it becomes who we are. But what do we do or who do we become when we take that away even for a few hours?Although we've been talking about sacrifices and ways to draw nearer to God, we also hear God inviting us to "Come." Multiple times in the Bible, Jesus calls us to Himself. For He has made a way by fulfilling all those requirements for us to be able to be in the presence of God. Now all we need to do is 'come.'Jesus invites us to Him. We don't need to meet expectation or quotas, but simply be still long enough. Coming to Jesus is more of a stilling than a doing. And this week, I'm inviting you to come with me into His presence.Find a comfy chair, bench, or section of floor and join me. Salvation is, first and foremost, an example of God's kindness to man. In His kindness, He doesn't leave us in our sin, but by His grace He lifts us out.
