Do you ever feel stuck in the middle of family drama while trying to make the "right" decision? Maybe you've been asked to take sides in a family feud or you want to help someone but you're afraid you might enable their poor choices. These kinds of dilemmas can leave you feeling stressed out and anxious--unless you have a strategy for dealing with family drama. In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Bobby Parmar, professor at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and author of Radical Doubt. Dr. Parmar is an expert in decision-making, ethics, and navigating uncertainty. Together, we tackle common real-life family dilemmas that I often hear about in my therapy office and explore how to make the best decisions. Some of the things we talk about are: How to reframe family feuds so you're not stuck choosing sides Why your character doesn't determine your decisions (and what does) The surprising link between uncertainty and mental strength How to set boundaries without feeling guilty or selfish What to do when you know information you wish you didn't How to handle family drama, like wedding conflicts or sibling rivalries Why your gut instinct might not always be the best guide (and how to use it wisely) How to make decisions when you're caught between your values and relationships The key to avoiding regret when making tough choices Why small, actionable steps are the secret to solving big problems Links & Resources Radical Doubt University of Virginia Faculty Page Connect with the Show Buy a copy of 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do Connect with Amy on Instagram — @AmyMorinAuthor Visit my website — AmyMorinLCSW.com Sponsors Lola Blankets — Get 35% off your entire order at Lolablankets.com by using code STRONGER at checkout. What do you do when you need a little pick-me-up? Exercise? Drink some coffee? Laugh uproariously at Strange Country cohosts Beth and Kelly? For some, like politicians and celebs that didn't cut it so instead they went to Dr. Max Jacobson to get a concoction of vitamins, monkey gonads and amphetamines injected into their necks and arms. Jacobson, known as Dr. Feelgood, had the ability to cure any ailment merely by making you so high you couldn't feel anything. Until he got his medical license revoked in the 1970s and the party was over. Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has returned to the spotlight with a slate of major headlines, new music, business news, and, as ever, persistent speculation about his private life. Just last week, Bieber released his seventh studio album, "Swag," his first full-length record in over four years, which NPR hailed as a notable comeback that veers toward an alternative rock sound and features introspective lyrics about marriage and mental health. The album dropped without much conventional promotion, causing fans and critics alike to revisit Bieber's ever-evolving relationship with the spotlight and his personal demons. "Swag" comes packaged not just with fresh songs but with subtle messages about his life, including nods to ongoing marital challenges with his wife, Hailey Bieber – all while silencing, for now, rumors of a split. Elle reports that Bieber used recent Instagram posts, including a photo of him kissing Hailey, to push back on breakup speculation, while tracks like "Walking Away" and "Daisies" tackle their ups and downs with uncharacteristic candor.Behind the confident public façade, however, reports from The Blast and Page Six suggest Bieber continues to battle mood swings and pressure from both fame and expectations at home, with insiders describing deeper struggles despite his seemingly happy family life. Having welcomed their son Jack Blues less than a year ago, the couple is now navigating not just new parenthood but Bieber's ongoing search for stability.Financially, Bieber is also making headlines. TMZ and Economic Times confirm that he owes $31.5 million in settled debt to Scooter Braun's Hybe — debt he cannot clear until his wife Hailey's $1 billion Rhode beauty company sale officially closes, a deal poised to net Bieber $50 million as a significant investor. According to sources, this wait has delayed his ability to pay off the debt, despite pocketing $200 million from his earlier music catalog sale; substantial chunks of that sum have already been eaten up by taxes and expenses, showcasing rare vulnerability for a superstar previously thought to be endlessly flush.Outside music, Bieber's new fashion venture, SKYLRK, has reignited the kind of social media chatter that has followed him since his teens. NSS Magazine describes the launch of SKYLRK as a calculated, controversy-infused rebranding—more playful than past efforts, yet very much blending the provocative with the personal. On Instagram, Bieber has been sharing family photos, behind-the-scenes content, and candid moments, keeping the online narrative alive while stirring curiosity about which version of himself he will present next.Through it all, while speculation about his health, marriage, and fortune never really ceases, one thing is clear: Justin Bieber's next chapter is being written in real time, with all its complications and comeback moments on full display.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

In this episode, my sister-in-law, Erin, joins the show! We chat about our unique relationship as sisters-in-law married to the Raben brothers. We reminisced about how we first met in 2015 and shared some laughs over our family dynamics, which are characterized by closeness and openness, despite the occasional drama. We dove into a particularly chaotic wine tour we took together, where things got a bit out of hand, and Erin opened up about her life as a stay-at-home mom navigating a blended family. We also tackled listener questions, discussing everything from Erin's potential podcasting aspirations to what it would be like if we switched lives for a week. Ultimately, this episode is a heartfelt celebration of sisterhood, family connections, and the laughter that comes from our shared experiences. They celebrate Cole Young's dream debut with the Mariners: three days of baseball magic capped off with a walk-off RBI. Then things get personal as they unpack the tangled family dynamics of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The conversation turns sudsy (literally) with Sydney Sweeney's bizarre bath water soap controversy, before diving headfirst into a rabbit hole of throw pillows, suspicious markdowns, and a full-blown HomeGoods conspiracy.
