In this weeks episode Evan, Gary, and Justus talk about a wide range of nerdy content. We give an update on all the latest pop culture news and pick up where we left off by discussing two more episodes of the hot TV show: Star Wars Clone Wars. We also become wizards as we dive into yet another huge fandom that is Harry Potter and talk about our favorite parts of the Wizarding World. Lastly, can one of the most beloved childhood TV shows have too many iterations? Let your imagination run wild, as Justus reviews the wacky and bizarre DC comic Scooby Doo Apocalypse. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Hello everyone and welcome to the sixth issue of the It's Too Wordy Comic Book Podcast.  This one is coming out a little early because we have plans for all of May and a certain galactic uprising will be our main focus.  So sit back and listen as Kirk, Nick and Ryan discuss comics from our childhoods and today and maybe a random comic movie review.  Do they still hold up or are they just fond memories?  How are the old and new books different and how are the similar.  First up is Daredevil 208, G.I. Joe 55, Uncanny X-Men 276 Scooby-Doo Apocalypse 36 and Murder Falcon #7. The Black Terror is in the public domain and is one of my favorite golden age heroes.  So of course I had to use him for our logo. Please help us out by donating a buck or the change in your cars cupholder to our Patreon page at Patreon.com/housebtsleave me a message at BTSpodcast@yahoo.com, at @beyondthesuper1 on twitter and on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/BTSpodcasts/You can also find us on YoutubeMusic in this episode is called Humanity and is from Scott Holmes.  It can be found on Freemusicarchive.orgThank for listening

Prolific, mystically imaginative and, dare I say, iconic comic book writer, television writer & novelist J.M. DeMatteis (Spider-man: Kraven's Last Hunt, Green Lantern: Willworld, Seekers: Into the Mystery, JL Dark, Scooby-Doo Apocalypse... whew!) joined me via a relatively well-behaved Skype connection for a terrific new episode!! We talk about the metaphysical underpinnings of his work, how I'm unabashedly in love with Willworld, how much it inspired/inspires me, as well as the legacy of that book and J.M.'s collaboration with the late, great Seth Fisher. We discuss our uncanny variety of shared themes, our similar lifetime obsession with metaphysics and the human mystery, including the inner journey in our work, sustaining a creative career and a helluva lot more. Top notch talk from one of my favorite guests to date, and full of more takeaways than one listen will provide. Be sure to stay through the end to hear an AMAZING piece of comics history! Find J.M.'s various works online or wherever you buy comics, including the new Vol. 2 collection of "the Adventures of Augusta Wind", and definitely pick up Willworld used (or on comixology) if you've never read it. Follow J.M. DeMatteis on twitter @JMDeMatteis. Keep up with his site jmdematteis.com, where you can join his Imagination 101 workshops. Folllow this show on twitter @storycraftpod and help support the show at patreon.com/monkeygong or by sharing, rating and reviewing on iTunes. ABC Podcast: Alex and Brandon Chat

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat once more, as Brandon as returned to us from the Great Beyond, a.k.a. Victoria, TX. After going over some lingering issues from the previous episode and eating some Jell-O, the guys cover all sorts of topics, including Scooby Doo Apocalypse, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Supergirl, Cloak and Dagger, and the video game The Amazing Spider-Man. Then they move into full on spoilers of season 2 of Netflix's Daredevil. That discussion takes place from about 58:00-1:27:10, so if you still haven;t seen it and don't want to know what happens, feel free to skip that part. Alex and Brandon then move on to a very interesting segment where they each give their personal lists of their top 5 favorite cartoons, and encourage everyone to check those shows out. Last but not least, there's Fan Fic Fights, or as it loving referred to, the Kevin segment. Who fights this week? Who wins the argument? That's up to you!
