ABOUT AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR April 27, 2018 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Directors: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo Writers: Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Stan Lee Cast: Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man Chris Hemsworth as Thor Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther Zoe Saldaña as Gamora Karen Gillan as Nebula Tom Hiddleston as Loki Paul Bettany as Vision Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS So, they get right to it. Bad boy Thanos gets an infinity stone, the Power Stone. His play is to get all six Infinity Stones and wipe out half of all life in the universe. His first stop is the ship carrying the surviving people of Asgard. Thanos easily overwhelms the remaining Asgardians, beats up Hulk, and steals the Space Stone from Loki's Tesseract. He then kills Loki. Thanos then destroys the ship and continues his hunt. Edris Elba helps make sure that Hulk returns to earth, where he crashes through the New York Sanctum. Back as Bruce, He warns Doctor Stephen Strange and Wong that Thanos is coming. Tony Stark joins the conversation. Before he can call Steve Rogers to get the band back together, they attack the city to claim the Time Stone from Strange. Spider-Man is pulled into the chaos, and after they captures Strange aboard his spaceship, Stark and Peter Parker secretly hitch a ride into space to rescue him while Wong remains behind to defend the Sanctum. Meanwhile, the Guardians of the Galaxy answer a distress signal and save Thor floating in space. They agree they need to work together to stop Thanos. But they're too late. Thanos already possesses the Reality Stone and uses its power to manipulate everything around them. He captures Gamora after learning she knows the location of the Soul Stone. Desperate to save her adopted sister Nebula from torture, Gamora tells him where the stone is . When they get there, the keeper of the Soul Stone, one Red Skull, reveals the price required to obtain it: the sacrifice of someone truly loved. In one of the film's most tragic moments, Thanos throws Gamora to her death, earning the Soul Stone. Vision and Wanda are ambushed in Scotland by Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, who attempt to rip the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead. Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon arrive just in time to save them, bringing the wounded Vision back to the Avengers Compound. Vision urges Wanda to destroy the Mind Stone and kill him if necessary to stop Thanos, but she cannot bring herself to do it. Instead, the team heads to Wakanda, believing Shuri may be able to safely remove the stone without sacrificing Vision's life. Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange end up on Titan and come face to face with Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis and they realize they're in the same team. Using the Time Stone, Strange studies millions of possible futures and discovers only one path where they succeed. Together they execute an elaborate plan to restrain Thanos and remove the Infinity Gauntlet. For a moment, it almost works—until Nebula reveals that Gamora is dead. Overcome with grief and rage, Star-Lord attacks Thanos, ruining the team's hold on him. Thanos breaks free, defeats everyone, and nearly kills Iron Man. To save Tony's life, Doctor Strange willingly surrenders the Time Stone, despite knowing how dangerous it is. In Wakanda, the Avengers prepare for an all-out invasion from Thanos's army. Bruce Banner, unable to transform into Hulk, enters battle wearing the Hulkbuster armor. The tide finally turns when Thor arrives in spectacular fashion alongside Rocket and Groot, tearing through Thanos's army with his fresh new hammer/ax combo, Stormbreaker. Despite their efforts, Thanos himself eventually reaches Vision. Wanda heartbreakingly destroys the Mind Stone—and Vision with it—just before Thanos can claim it. But using the Time Stone, Thanos reverses time, restores Vision briefly to life, and violently tears the stone from his forehead, killing him again. With all six Infinity Stones finally united, the Infinity Gauntlet is complete. Thor attacks and buries Stormbreaker deep into Thanos's chest, but Thanos coldly tells him he “should have gone for the head.” He snaps his fingers and vanishes. Across the universe, half of all life immediately turns to dust. Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Groot, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis all fade away. On Earth, Nick Fury manages to send a desperate signal from a mysterious pager moments before he too disappears. The survivors are left shattered and defeated. Tony Stark and Nebula are stranded on Titan. The remaining Avengers stand in stunned silence in Wakanda. And somewhere far away, Thanos sits alone on a quiet planet, watching the sunrise over a universe he believes he has finally “saved.” Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Late Nights at BlockbusterTo the trees, to the trees! Our next Late Nights at Blockbuster is the 35th anniversary of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The Drax winner was so easy that we had to do the runner up discussion. After we talk glowingly about how much we still enjoy the movie, we talk for a solid 15 minutes on our “Who Beefed” section. We round out the conversation with some action figure talk for those that were around our age when this came out. Intro/Outro music by friend of the podcast Seth Gilbertson. It's Marvel Monday and we're blasting off into space! ABOUT GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY A group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY August 1, 2014 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Director: James Gunn Writers: James Gunn, Nicole Perlman, Dan Abnett Cast: Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord Vin Diesel as Groot (voice) Bradley Cooper as Rocket (voice) Zoe Saldaña as Gamora Dave Bautista as Drax BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS It's 1988 and young Peter Quill is having a tough go of it but at least he has his music. His mom is sick and she ends up passing away. He's real sad and runs out of the hospital into a foggy field. Unfortunately for him, the hits keep coming and he's abducted by an alien ship. 26 years later, we're on the planet of Morag. We see a dude with a mask of glowing red eyes walking around. He uses this device to see what used to be on the planet. He takes his mask off and we see it's Peter all grown up, still a big fan of music. He tries to steal this orb thing but is taken by guys. Ultimately, he's able to escape, orb in hand. Yondu, the guy who abducted Peter way back when, finds out that Peter stole the orb and puts a bounty out for him. Bad guy Ronan also finds out the orb was taken and sends an assassin named Gamora after him. But that's not allllll - bounty hunters Rocket (a raccoon) and Groot (a tree) see him and decide to go after him when they find out how much his bounty is worth. Peter tries to sell the orb but it doesn't work. Gamora is waiting for him as he walks out and takes the orb. A fight breaks out which is a good time for Rocket and Groot to jump in on the fight. They all end up getting arrested. While in prison, they meet a guy named Drax who is known for killing associates of Ronan, so he's got his sights on Gamora. Peter stops him from killing her by hatching an idea - let her take you to Ronan to kill him. Gamora explains that she's actually betrayed Ronan and intended to sell the orb. Together, they're able to escape. We then see Ronan talking to Gamora's dad, Thanos, about her betrayal. He sends his other daughter (who he loves less), Nebula, to go get her back. So they take the orb to a dude who can open it. Turns out, inside is the Infinity Stone. So that's not great. Nebula shows up and destroys Gamora's ship while Ronan's fighters capture the Orb. Peter sees Gamora out there floating in space about to die. So he goes out there and gives her his helmet so that he can pull her back into his ship. So, Peter & Co. know that facing Ronan will not turn out well but that they cannot let him use the Infinity Stone. So they need to hatch a plan. Speaking of which, Ronan puts the Stone in his warhammer, taking its power for himself. Nebula, hating her dad, agrees to team up with him. So the squad decides to team up with Yondu and co. to stop Ronan. Ronan pulls up and just starts absolutely wrecking their fleet like it's nothing. Inside the ship, Drax gets his revenge moment, Gamora and Nebula have their sister fight, and everyone quickly realizes… oh no, we are in over our heads. Peter decides the best way to stop him is… a dance-off distraction which gives Drax and Rocket just enough time to destroy Ronan's hammer. Peter grabs the Infinity Stone, which should absolutely kill him—but plot twist! His friends grab onto him, they all share the power of friendship, and together they vaporize Ronan. The group officially becomes the Guardians of the Galaxy, their records get wiped clean, and Quill learns he's only half human which is why the Infinity Stone didn't kill him. Finally, Peter opens the last gift from his mom: a new mixtape. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? This week, Alex is joined by Rank 1 player (rounded up) and fan-favorite creator: Husky Puppies! The duo kicks things off by answering the community's burning question: Is the current Marvel Snap meta actually horrible? They break down the "uninteractive" nature of Star-Lord decks, discuss how to counter them in High Infinite using cards like Super Giant and Cosmo, and debate the best ways Second Dinner could nerf the card (Make him an Activate? Require a card play alongside floating energy?).Then, it's time for new card reviews! Alex and Husky discuss why the new Series 5 card Kraglin is a massive skip, why Magus is a bottom-tier release, and debate whether Drax (Avatar of Life) is the ultimate release valve for Ramp decks. Plus, Alex goes to bat for Jack Flag, calling it the best release of the month, while Husky remains skeptical until a spicy Aurora synergy is uncovered. Finally, they open the Mailbag to discuss the growing frustration around Card Shop FOMO and why waiting weeks for a specific card to rotate into the shop is creating unnecessary friction for players.Join Alex Coccia and special guest Husky Puppies as they chat about this and more on this episode of The Snap Chat—and catch Cozy and Alex every week as they discuss all things Marvel Snap.Have a question or comment for Cozy and Alex? The Doctor's plan has failed — and the truth is finally exposed. In Part Four of The Crucible of Terror, the deception surrounding the Crucible is uncovered. What was believed to be Earth's salvation is revealed as a doomsday weapon, feeding on the planet's core and counting down to total annihilation. Betrayed by Eddic and outmanoeuvred by Drax, the Doctor realises he has been manipulated into placing the Earth itself in mortal danger. With the TARDIS unable to breach the Crucible's multidimensional shielding, humanity's last hope rests on a desperate and dangerous alternative: UNIT's experimental gravity weapon. As the planet trembles and earthquakes ripple across the globe, Drax closes in. The fate of the world hangs by a thread as the Crucible begins to rise…
This week, Alex is joined by the "Mr. Worldwide" of Marvel Snap: Dara! They kick things off with a life update, discussing Dara's move from NYC to Australia and now Thailand, living the $3 Bolt ride life while navigating a 12-hour time difference. They dive straight into the Star-Lord Season Pass review. While Alex thinks it's a solid 4-Star card, Dara drops a massive hot take: Star-Lord might be better than Shou-Lao due to his insane synergy with Fin Fang Foom and Grandmaster. Then, they roast the Super Premium card, Magus, agreeing it is "Toxic Doxy" levels of bad and a hard skip (1 Star). They also review Moon Dragon, deciding it's a "Doom 2099" dependent card that falls flat if not played on Turn 2. On the flip side, Dara claims Drax (Avatar of Life) is the best non-Season Pass card of the month, praising its ability to counter Ramp decks. Finally, they open the Mailbag to discuss a wholesome community letter and debate a spicy game design question: Should Marvel Snap introduce a 5-Turn Game Mode to create a true Aggro meta? This week, Alex is joined by the queen of unhinged conspiracy theories and daily streamer: Ninaisnoob! The duo kicks things off with a "muscle check" and a debate over whose Diglett plushie is bigger. They dive straight into the OTA Balance Patch, discussing why the Shao-Lau nerf wasn't enough, the tragic death of Maverick, and whether the Merlin nerf is secretly a buff to the "Swiss Army Knife" of location control. Then, it's a massive Star-Lord Season Preview! Alex and Nina break down every new card:Star-Lord: The High Evo support piece we didn't know we needed?Magus: Is this Super Premium card actually unplayable garbage (1.5 Stars)?Kraglin: Alex goes on a rant about why "Banish" is a terrible mechanic and rates this a 0.9 Star card.Jack Flag: Alex makes a bold prediction that this vanilla-looking card is actually the Card of the Month.Drax & Moon Dragon: Are they mid-range bait or hidden gems? Finally, they answer a Mailbag question about Limbo/Magik and whether locations should be "locked" to prevent rug-pulls.Join Alex Coccia and special guest Ninaisnoob as they chat about this and more on this episode of The Snap Chat—and catch Cozy and Alex every week as they discuss all things Marvel Snap.Have a question or comment for Cozy and Alex? Late Nights at BlockbusterWe are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the movie that launched one of the most unexpected franchises ever, The Fast and the Furious. As you can imagine, the Drax award is very short on this one. You don't watch these movies for the dialogue. Guardians of the Galaxy wasn't just a cosmic side quest — it was the emotional on-ramp to the entire Infinity Saga. In this retrospective episode of Marvel Maniac, we look back at the humble beginnings of Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and Drax, while viewing the film through the lens of everything that comes later — from Infinity War and Endgame to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. From the iconic opening set to “Come and Get Your Love,” to the underplayed introduction of the Power Stone, to the quiet seeds planted for Thanos and the tragedy that follows — this episode is about why Guardians still matters, and why it hits harder now than it ever did in 2014.
The invasion is no longer a distant threat — it is here. In Part Three of The Crucible of Terror, the Doctor faces an impossible dilemma as Earth stands on the brink of annihilation. A vast alien warship looms overhead, a merciless mercenary named Drax demands the surrender of the Crucible, and humanity's leaders are paralysed by fear, mistrust, and jurisdictional conflict. As UNIT and the U.S. military clash over authority, the truth about the Crucible is finally revealed — along with the terrifying cost of using it. With time running out, the Doctor must gamble everything on an untested plan, while Kevin Vasavious is forced into a role he never wanted, and Kathy confronts the horrors of her past.
In this new series, LazyTitan and Boomguy talk about their favorite heroes, starting with #1 and working their way down their respective lists. Ever wondered why we love what we do? Who's your pick between these two?

What if the world's most powerful climate solution is being logged away while politicians and industry groups feed us misinformation? How can an ecosystem store three times more carbon per acre than the Amazon rainforest? Why has the international science community remained largely silent about the destruction of temperate rainforests? Our conversation with Paul Koberstein, co-author of "Canopy of Titans - The Life and Times of the Great North American Temperate Rainforest" tackles these urgent questions head-on. The Great North American temperate rainforest stretches 2,500 miles from northern California to Alaska, making it the largest intact temperate rainforest on Earth. Yet this carbon-dense ecosystem faces ongoing threats from industrial logging, greenwashing campaigns, and policy decisions that prioritise short-term profits over long-term climate stability.Paul shares his journey from camping beneath old-growth Douglas firs as a child to becoming an investigative environmental journalist covering forest issues for over 40 years. Our conversation examines the troubling parallels between the timber industry's tactics and those employed by fossil fuel and tobacco companies. We discuss how scientists like Dr Beverly Law faced persecution for publishing research on how forests benefit the climate. Paul explains the "global blind spot" that has allowed temperate rainforest logging to continue largely unchallenged, even as the international community rallies to protect tropical rainforests. The book reveals how industry-funded research has shaped policy debates and obscured the true climate impact of logging these ancient forests.Despite the sobering realities, Paul offers hope through examples of successful grassroots activism. When thousands of people raised their voices against Drax's expansion into California, the project was cancelled. Our conversation also touches on the dramatic shift in US climate policy under different administrations and what this means for forest protection efforts globally. Paul's advice is clear: to save a forest, you must work at it every day, but to destroy it, you only need to do it once. This episode is essential listening for anyone who cares about climate action, forest conservation, and cutting through corporate greenwashing.Subscribe to Tommy's Outdoors: Conservation and Science NewsletterSupport the Podcast and Buy Me a Coffee.Recommended Books: tommysoutdoors.com/booksMerch: tommysoutdoors.com/shopFollow Tommy's Outdoors on Bluesky, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and FacebookTommy's Outdoors is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk The guest featured in this episode paid a nominal guesting fee. Let's Chat! Some truths are hard to say out loud, but they matter if you care about the work and the people who support it. Today I'm candid about burnout, creative integrity, and the choice to pause before the quality slips any further. After a year that crossed 200 episodes and a run of intense, dark story arcs, the signs were clear: the craft needs recovery time. We talk about the mental load of writing layered narratives, the challenge of pairing heavy themes with personal growth, and the responsibility to deliver episodes that feel thoughtful, not rushed.I share where the schedule stands—Drax will land for Halloween as promised, then we'll step back for a few weeks. Thanksgiving may stay quiet while I regroup, with a likely Christmas series if the well refills the way it should. This isn't a goodbye; it's a reset with intention. Listeners have shown steady support even through a lighter posting stretch, and that loyalty deserves more than just hitting publish. It deserves our best ideas, sharper editing, and stories that earn your time.If you're a creator feeling the same strain, consider this your permission slip: rest is a strategy, not a surrender. Step back, protect your energy, and come back with work you're proud of. Gent's Journey isn't going anywhere—we're protecting the foundation so we can build better. If this resonates, follow the show, share this note with a friend who needs the reminder, and leave a review so others can find us. Your support keeps the lights warm while we reset, and we'll return with the kind of storytelling that brought you here."True mastery is found in the details. The way you handle the little things defines the way you handle everything."

This episode of Drinks and a Movie is blasting off into one of the most outrageous Bond adventures ever—Moonraker (1979). Roger Moore's 007 goes from Venice to space in a spectacle filled with laser battles, deadly centrifuge tests, and the return of the unstoppable Jaws. It's over-the-top, it's ridiculous, and it's pure late-'70s Bond fun.For a movie this bold, I had to pair it with a whiskey that packs just as much punch—the Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. Uncut, unfiltered, and full of intense spice and caramel sweetness, this rye whiskey hits hard, much like the G-forces in Drax's centrifuge.Join me as I break down Bond's most out-of-this-world adventure while sipping on a rye that's as powerful as a Moonraker laser blast. Buckle up, pour yourself a glass, and let's talk Bond. Cheers!
